KinnPorsche The Series (2022)

What A Masterpiece!

I’ve watched so many Thai series but this was just amazing! Not only was the cast spot on but the acting was on par as well, the music added to it and the production was a money well spent.

Now for some of you that didn’t know that KP was first shot my filmania, later on when the show almost got canceled PMile who played Kinn and also happens to be the ceo of be on cloud helped make it come to life and get a lot of investors on board. There are two trailers, one from a year ago and a recent one and you can clearly see the difference in not just the acting but the budget has increased drastically.


The actors did an excellent job and To top it all off the chemistry between them is insane! Nothing feels forced and you tend to forget you’re watching a series because of real their acting was. The s*x scenes felt like two lovers making love and not just acting cause tbh a lot of Thai bl don’t understand that concept and it feels kinda plain and downright bad acting.

I think what helped them portray this role also was because of how close they were in real life, a lot of scenes they improvised or went off script which always ended up being sweet and loving.

The side couples did not disappoint as well, they all had chemistry and a lot of passion.


Dark blue kiss was my favorite bl before but this topped it in so many ways, mile and apo made you feel the love, pain and sincerity between these Characters and most importantly even after being together kinn didn’t have to change himself for Porshe. What I mean by that is he didn’t need to quit or alter his mafia side, in fact he supported him and ended up being the minor family.

This is a very enjoyable series and tbh not for kids, it’s not your soft boy shit, you need to get into it knowing it’s a legit mafia family and it does cover a lot of issues that kids or people not mature enough can understand.

The physical manifestation "if you vibe you vibe, if you don't you don't" straight out of an ao3 fic

I will begin by saying that this is the kind of show you have to watch on your own time, and form your own opinion. You can tell whether you'll love or hate it within the first maybe 3 episodes. If you are not vibing with the show by that point, save yourself the misery. It took me 3-4 episodes to be like, okay yeah, let's get into it. But not everyone vibes with it, and that is okay.

I loved it even though it's not the kind of genre I usually watch. Based on story only, this show deserves maybe a 8 or 8.5. The ending left a lot of open ends/plotholes (?) that look like a set up for season 2. Hopefully, they address those. But as to how why I've given it a 10:

1) the acting: the cast ate DOWN. all the acting performances are fucking phenomenal, especially mile, apo, bible, tong and jeff. Not one bad thing can be said about the acting. Just. *chefs kiss.*
2) amazing, human, morally grey characters: if you love a big cast with great mcs and loveable side characters, you'll love this show. The characters carried this and that is primarily why it is a 10. There is a whole round up of complex, layered characters to choose from, even if you don't like the story all that much. A lot of the criticism stems from "where is the mafia theme?" but the thing is, this show is mafia themed AND revolves around characters who are human before they are kill machines. That is why the show sometimes is funny, or sad, or not Criminal Enough. I personally was okay with that. More than okay with that. They balanced the mafia themes with everyone's (grey moral) humanity quite well. If it was just guns and sex for the sake of guns and sex, it would not make a good show.
2) something for everyone: there are three ships that are so tonally different that sometimes it looks like three separate shows. Some people take issue with that and that's fine. Personally the tonal shifts didn't bother me, and I was pretty invested in all the ships because I liked the dynamics of all three ships. I was never bored with any of the ships, but again, that comes down to personal preference.
3) cinematography and OST: just. gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous show. Good songs and background scores too. They played around with a lot of colours for symbolism as well. Just gorgeous.
4) tender queerness: people keep saying this is fetishiser bait and a "porn show" but that is one thing that is a hard lie, at least in my opinion. In my opinion 1) there are really not that many sex scenes as people would lead you to believe, and 2) as a queer man, Kinn and Porsche are just queer men in love, and none of their kisses or NC scenes feel forced or put there just for the sake of appeasing fetishiser gaze. Every scene has meaning, is gorgeous and adds to the plot. Calling it a porn show, and acting like it has no overarching plot is a disservice and an insult.

Heed all the trigger warnings though: dubcon, violence, guns, gore, violence, manipulation, torture, abuse.

I'm trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible so this is all I'll say: watch it yourself and form your own opinion. It's definitely the kind of show that is not for everybody, but if it hits, it hits. And it hits Hard. Is it a perfect show? No. I did take some issue with some of the editing and there are decisions the characters made that I was like "why did you do that lol." Sometimes I had to turn my brain off to understand some decisions, particularly Porsche's. I would like some story explained and plot revealed and resolved, esp around the character of Kim. But it is a good show. A great show. It is hilarious, it is tragic, it is queer and most of all, it is entertaining and a good time, if nothing else.

Outstanding BL

This far exceeded my expectations. I have watched a lot of BL's but got tired of the same old tropes. Especially in Thai BL. I can't stand the young looking twink who acts cute ( yes Cutie Pie I am pointing at you), the rehashed storylines and engineering students. Only A Thousand Stars and Until We Meet Again were different. KinnPorsche has broken the mold. The story, the acting, the beautiful cinematography and music. Wow... Mile and Apo were phenomenal in the leads. Their chemistry was hot. They brought emotion to their characters that typically shows lack. Tong... He is such a joy. Hysterical writing and acting. Bible and Build... Pulled off VegasPete so well. Even made me feel a bit bad for Vegas. Kudos to Pond for his directing and screenwriting. Plus the whole production team. He changed the book storylines to fit the screen so much better. And if you like action and mafia..this for you. Best thing.. no one is in engineering school. Enjoy!

Anticipated series not worry it to watch at all

To be honest i waited for like 1 year and one month for this highly anticipated series. But i guess ep 1 to ep 3 never failed to amazed me. The actors acting was good.
Cinematography was good and storyline. That kiss was in the right place and time in ep 3. I also enjoy laughing Porsche was transformed into a mermaid.

Ep4 this is the starting point of my disappointment, this series is romanticizing rape and drugs. Well, you would say this series for R18 but i can say this is series being shown in illegal site i would not name those site but i though lead actors want their young fans to watch it. But what i saw in ep 4 NC is non sexual sex ( rape) and plus Porsche is under influence of drugs. Nudity why not post this as well in p*rn sites.
I guess Mafia theme is being romanticize too much.

This is just my semi review i would be posting update for this once the series ends. Maybe I'll have a change of heart.

BEST SHOW OF THE SEASON!!!

I have seen a few bls and this one really stood out to me. It is trully one of a kind. The story and filmography left me speechless and the editing team has done an amazing work. The soundrack hit me out of nowhere and the grownig relationship between the two main characters is very unique. The plot is outstanding! No matter how hard I try, I can never guess what's going to happen next! I'm watching this with two of my friends and we always look forward to the next episode! I hope many people get to see this so that it will get the praise and recognition it deserves. I trully adore this show and haven't seen anything like it before!

This series had so much more potential.

Okay, so I've only seen four episodes and a bit of the fifth. But the scenes feel so so random?
Like there's comedy and the next second there's this romantic music out of nowhere?

Maybe it's just not my style of editing, but how the heck am I supposed to follow all these twists and turns, and it's not only the scenes, the friendships are really f'ucking weird. If they now have a certain community and vibe of the staff, certain rules to follow - where- I don't know?

Am I alone in feeling that this series and plot had so much more potential?
I can clearly see that they have the budget, so why is the writing so weird?

Still, I will probably finish the series, but I have to stop five times each episode just to process the plot because it all just feels so random and weird.

I just feel like they tried to do a similar thing as "Trapped" but it flopped horribly.

EDIT - I watched ep. 6 (spoilers)
Oh my fucking god. The kiss, the water kiss. They were freezing, Kinn asking for a HUG, hugging, then the gentle kiss that seemed to make Porche weak in the knees, and Kinn then pausing, saying that they have to go up. I guess Kinn felt like it was a bad idea due to his feelings for Porche and Kinn's father saying that it can't happen again (as it did for Kinn with a former lover?)
EDIT 2 - still watching ep 6.
WOW okay, their acting! And the way that Kinn and Porche have gotten so much closer in a healthy way in this episode makes my eyes a bit blurry. This episode made my rating go from a six to a seven. I'm actually glad that I didn't drop the series.

You Will Love It - Or Hate It!

This is the first review that I have written where I want to express my opinion in more depth than I usually do, so PLEASE DON'T READ PAST THE SECTION OF MY REVIEW FLAGGED SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE SERIES.

BL or LGBTQ?? Is there a difference, I think there is... this show is flagged as 21+ and is not Boys Love!! I don't think it sets a new standard for BL because there will always be an audience for cute, funny, emotional, romantic, with a little drama featuring young adults. This show does NOT fit that category at all.

If you are offended by shows with toxicity, this show is not for you - it's toxic from beginning to end. Adult subject matter, like most movies and shows for mature audiences. Whie this show is not a hard core action, thriller, or even realistic mafia (in my opinion), it does have a great deal of explicit sex, glorified rape, murder, sadistic torture, etc.

Was it a good show? It started out pretty good, but I think it went downhill after the two guys became a couple. The storyline went from good to cheesy for the main couple and the storyline for a secondary couple was just too violent for me.

While there were some scenes I didn't like, I did enjoy this series, and the acting, directing, cinematography, music, everything was high quality!

The actors were really some of the best I have seen, you can tell they put everything they had into each episode. I definitely liked the storyline for Kinn and Porsche (but not the actors, unfortunately) - the dynamics were awesome, to see the various challenges they faced, seeing Kinn as a human being and not just a mob boss, seeing Porsche in love, but not being able to fully trust anyone, there was a lot happening between them. I think the two actors were not appealing to me, but that is personal, I am sure a lot of viewers would disagree

The two brothers - what happened? I liked their story and would have liked to see more of them, but then, what happened? The ending was not really an ending - it was more like a cliffhanger.


SPOILER ALERT!! Don't read if you haven't watched.

Toxicity is one thing but falling in love with someone who practically kills you more than once, just doesn't sit well with me. The second couple thing, I just wasn't feeling it - and I could not feel sorry for Vegas even when he was most pitiable - for me he was nothing short of a monster, and Pete deserved so much better. It was also unrealistic that Kinn didn't think there was anything strange about him disappearing the way Pete just suddenly vanishes without a trace.

The date night, farting under the covers, and other stupid scenes took away from the show.
I would have preferred more screen time for the third and youngest couple, and I didn't like the ending for them, which didn't make any sense at all - why the song? Also, why did I feel like Porsche had no interest in what was going on with his brother that he didn't know Porchay didn't enroll in school and was heartbroken?
Putting the mother in at the end - what was the point? It didn't add anything to the story, in fact I think it was kind of contradictory to the ending.
Porsche who decides he's all in with the whole mafia thing, despite his brother not wanting him to be and his mother being the way she ended up and his father dying because of the mafia? This did not sit well with me.

Oh boy, this drama is important for BL drama industry...

Well, I gave it a 10, and I don't give 10 easily - out of 236 dramas I've watched I gave 10 only to 10 dramas so far and KP is one of them. The reason: I think that this drama is important for BL drama industry and it will have a huge impact on the future productions. Why? I want to point just a bunch of reasons. (The review might have a slight of spoilers for character development)

1. ML is a bad guy and it's working.
We all have seen this kind of plot - bad ML meets a nice ML, they fell in love, then BG stops being bad guy, turning good and his bad deals are forgiven, at the end of the day he is a good person thanks to the good ML... Not here! Lets turn the table - Kinn is a bad guy, a killer, a mafia and he turns our innocent, poor Porsche into a true evil badass that kills without a second thought. What good guys? They are all bad everywhere and we love them, we have to or just drop the drama. This is their life. Kinn can't escape from his evil life. He needs to keep going and since Porsche can't leave him, he decides to give him this bit of a normal life and still accepts his bad side, protects him and supports him along the way.

2. Not healthy relationship but it's working.
I mean Vegas/Pete of course. This relationship, the development of their characters was very hard to portrait, to do it right and at the same time to convince the watchers that sort of relationship is okay, you can watch it. I'm sad that VP didn't get more time screen but the production used their time very good to show us the deep emotions of our leads. Vegas is a very complicated, deep character with huge scars and even trauma. How to turn such a psycho into a lovable lead? Well, he wasn't really lovable... but he made our hearts broke so many times. Oh Vegas... please remember to feed Pete well.

3. Taboos aren't taboos anymore.
Drama isn't scared of hard topics - murders, mafia deals, tortures... Usually when we get mafia drama such topics are either avoided, or our mafia lead turns to be an okay guy and he doesn't use violence or do bad stuff like drugs, kills, etc. KP isn't afraid of shwoing us these things. Thank you, for giving us a mafia which is a mafia through their actions, and not only by their names.

4. Chemistry overload - this is what the desire looks like.
Our MLs love each other very much and we can really see the devotion in their eyes. All the actors did a great job here, they love their roles and put a lot heart into their play.

5. Predictable? Eh, nope.
When you watched many dramas, you can easily predict what is going to happen in episode 3, 6 and 11, right? It's so predictable. Not here! Each time (or rather most of the time) I felt like I knew what would happen it would surprise me and it always gave me nice surprises! The pacing isn't predictable.

6. High production quality - you shouldn't do it so perfectly, 'cause you just killed other dramas.
The music, the color scheme - these artist in the team were amazing! Dude, their know how to do their job and they do it the best! They know what kind of music, what colors and composition use, and how the camera should work during this scene and that scene to make the viewer feels that right emotion and nothing else. This production is so much on a different level.

THIS is how you do the drama! And now that we know that you can do this right, we want more dramas on this higher quality level. I hope that people will watch this drama and learn how to do it. Just do it right. Stop producing predictable crap with no character development and low overall quality. You see, there we got Kinnporsche - a drama about a mafia falling for a regular sweet guy - such a cliche, naive romance, right? And here this fanfic-like-plot turned into a deep masterpiece. Thank you, guys, for showing us that this is possible! I loved it.

ONE OF THE BEST EVER

I’ve finished watching KP ( I waited until it’s completion and started binge watching ) and I have nothing but praises for this serie, one of the very best I’ve ever watched. It has everything one can search for in a serie, there’s romance, there’s drama, action and comedy. The locations, lights, colors, costumes and then the directing, script and dialogues between characters are superb. You can tell they’ve put all their utmost hard work in this serie.
Then I have to talk about the cast, absolutely perfect! I can’t understand how the director found such talented and high quality actors, even the newbies (Bible = Vegas, Barcode= Porchay…). I couldn’t believe this was their first ever serie.
All 3 couples have all their own different yet strong chemistry, their own way to pursue and show their love and their respectively temperaments and charms.
KP has set the standard way too high.

A BL that is worth watching

Although I'm a fujoshi, I don't watch many BL but read ALOT of BL novels. And of the BLs I watched so far this is so far THE BEST!! I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!
The plot was interesting, keeping you in suspense. The acting was excellent and didn't make me cringe. And the chemistry between ALL the couples in the drama is *internally screaming* SO DAMN GOOD!!
And the steamy scenes........*drooling*

"The" BL

Basically, everything I feel watching KinnPorsche (La Forte) was already reviewed here. All the positive ones, I mean.

But, this series is also important in the way they show that sexuality, the homosexuality is completely accepted, or better: completely normal in KinnPorsche world. And homosexuality including love, affection and sex. It's not an issue. For example, Mr. Korn being pleased about the relationship between Kinn and Porsche. Even in the Minor Family it's not a issue. And impossible don't mention Vegas-Pete (two of the best construction of characters and of the powerful acting by two first-roles actors, Bible Wichapas Sumettikul and Build Japan Puttha). But all cast deserves recognition.

Search for videos with the cast talking about sexuality, very interesting, informative and totally anti-prejudice.

Talking about the cast, it's impossible don't mention the acting. It's amazing. And KP is the very first role off the majority off the actors: Bible and Build for example.

And impossible not mention the production, it's basically like a first class cinema movie, the stunning cinematography, the soundtrack: Free Fall, by Slot Machine express exactly the vibe of the show.

Well, KinnPorsche it's an experience.
