I was so excited to watch this drama only for it to be a huge disappointment.
Why are ML's in all the Thai dramas I've watched, so ANNOYING. I thought this would be better, considering the fact that this show finished recently. But, every enemy to lover Thai show I've seen, or tried to watch, has the same kind of ML who assumes everything is the FL's fault, that it was her "plan". I am SICK of the word "plan".I think "flirty female lead" TAG is really not the right phrase to describe the FL. If being confident of yourself and being nice to someone, including men is considered "flirty", than she is flirty.
The best part of this drama was the friendship between the ML and SML. They didn't even have to fake it for people to think they were gay, it was hilarious. The friendship between the SML and FL was also really nice, I'm definitely watching their next drama together where they play a couple.
I get why the prophecy or whatever said the ML needed the FL or he'd die. His stupidity and ignorance would have been the cause of his death. He is so easily manipulated and always trusts the wrong people.
I didn't hate a charecter more than I hated the FL's sister. That is why I couldn't be invested in her "romance" even though I LOVED the SML. She was hypocritical, self-righteous and outright useless especially when it came to her own family matters. I get that she's suppose to be young, but how is she so immature. I found out she was under 18 in episode 10 and couldn't believe it, how does she have the job she has at her age. It also made her pursuit of the SML both annoying and disturbing.
The FL isn't that great either. She should have walked away from the ML a long time ago, and never looked back. Who willingy marries a person that hates them and will openly cheat on them, without hesitation. I just wish she loved and ended up with the SML. I did not want a happy ending for any of the couples on this drama. The only good thing about this drama was the comedy.

Natural and Realistic Romance
This is a very slow burn romance that is natural in the sense that it grows at a really nice and realistic pace. It's not love at first sight, hate-to-love or obsession, it's just pure and quite boring romance. It is also realistic in the sense that the drama focuses on the work life and romantic life of all the characters and it has a good balance of this. If you want a slow but real romance, then I'd recommend this.I loved the leads in this drama. This is the first drama I've seen where both leads are level headed, reasonable and actually stay together throughout the drama. Any issues they have in their relationship is resolved within an episode. There is no dragged out drama that break them up and get them together again. Despite all the drama in this show and how many people are trying to get in the way of their relationship, nothing stops the leads from doing what they want and being with whomever they want. They also had really good chemistry together, it seemed so natural and not at all forced. The FL and the SML have a very different relationship, the way they portray their characters, their relationship is meant to be forced and it's seen through their chemistry.
I actually really liked the FL (Mo Fei) in this drama. She was talented, independent, level headed and always pursued her dream. She didn't need a man to help her, if anything they got in the way. People liked her for her talent and personality and despite the fact that she was not of the same economic status as the ML, you can tell that she had a very bright future ahead of her as a designer and that she will make it big in the industry. She never got into any drama, and if anyone made it difficult for her or tried to jeopardise her, she would put them in their place through words alone. It doesn't matter who they are, she will put them in their place. And I love that despite how trusting and friendly she is, she will never let anyone walk over her or get away with it.
I loved a lot of the friends that the FL made on her way to rise in her career especially her first roommate in France, Duoduo. Duoduo was probably my second favourite character after the FL. She was such a sweet friend and amazing girlfriend in my opinion, but she used violence unlike the FL, and I felt like her unreasonable was sometimes more reasonable than the FL's reasonableness. Duoduo didn't let things slide and only forgave a person if they put in effort. But the FL was so easily willing to forgive an old friend for backstabbing her even though the friend didn't ask for nor want forgiveness. If that was Duoduo in that situation, she'd slap the girl, call her for her shit in front of a crowd and then walk off never looking back.
Another one of my favourite characters was the SML's sister. She was really sweet, nice and reasonable despite her dire situation.
The FL's brother was also one of my favourites. The FL and her brother had such good chemistry, they just exuded sibling energy throughout.
The most unreasonable character in this drama was definitely the SFL. She is a character that went against everything the FL represented despite being in the same field of work. She is an independent woman but became what she is in order to get a man who clearly said he has no interest in her and she was completely fine with the idea of marrying a man that can't love her. She doesn't suck up to the man either, she sucks up to the mother which is even worse because she believes that she can force him into marriage by simply getting the approval of his mother. I hate people like her in dramas who sacrifice everything for a man they're not in a romantic relationship with, and then blame the man for not loving them. The FL, despite being with the ML never sacrifices her dream to be with the ML. They did long distance and it worked. If anything, this drama teaches you to put your dream before any person.
One more thing I have to mention are the outfits. The outfits alone will make you believe that this is a fashion romance. I mean the outfits of all the characters in every episode were just gorgeous not to mention the wedding outfits. I loved the wedding outfits so much, it suited the characters so well.

I HATED the main lead couple
The drama was okay, didn't ship the leads, AT ALL. I definitely wouldn't have even started this drama if it were any longer than 10 episodes, but I still wasted 10+ hours watching this, I did skip a lot of this drama in the latter half though. The main leads had really good chemistry and were really good looking, but that was all they had going for them in their relationship.
I didn't hate the FL or the ML and for the majority of the drama, I just didn't care that they were together despite how toxic they were, that was until we met the SML "Potato boy". The SML's character made it very blatantly obvious how toxic the main lead couples relationship was, like many of the other charecters relationships were in this drama. He also made the FL see how how stupid her decision was to be with a person like the ML, a person who NEVER cared for her, which is when her character finally starts to develop.
Thought the FL would finally come to her senses and break it off with the ML, which she did for less then 2 episodes. If it weren't for the last 7 minutes of the last episode, I would have been fine with the ending. But, ALL her character development went down the drain in those minutes and she goes back to exactly where she started. I wanted her to either be with the 2nd lead or be single, preferably the latter. The best thing the FL could have done for herself was focus on herself and her art, and take the opportunity to go to Paris without being held back by any romantic relationships.
Instead, we got an open ending about whether or not the FL would follow her dream since episode 1, to go to Paris. And, a closed ending of her and the ML ending up together and likely repeating another toxic and heartbreaking relationship, heartbreaking for her, maybe not so much for him.
I know that in the webtoon (or whatever this was based on), the FL ends up with the SML and the ML never actually cared for her. Considering that's how that ended, you'd think it'd at least be similar in the drama, but it's not and I HATE how the drama had to end with the FL ending with the ML simply because he is the ML.

Unique plot for a historical drama about getting the throne
Acting:I LOVED this drama, Park Ji Hoon's acting was amazing, I thought I wouldn't like Hong Ye Ji's acting because I've only heard bad stuff about it, but her acting was good. Her character is an assassin, it makes sense why she wouldn't really be very expressive. The ML is either possessed or has another personality (I am not sure, but I think historically they'd say a person is possessed if they had another personality), he went through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the drama and expressed them amazingly well, I especially loved his portrayal of Ak Hee.
Plot:
The plot was really unique for a historical drama focusing on 2 'brothers' trying to get the throne. A lot of historical dramas about Kings/Prince's have this type of plot, but this one was unique mostly because it had a very soft ML.
Sajo Hyun did not like violence at all and hated how horrible of a King his father was, and I don't think he ever changed, he just stopped being meek. He also did not want the throne, neither of his personalities did, one wanted to make clothes and the other just hated politics (though he was very good at it). Honestly, there wouldn't have even been a fight for the throne had the Grand Prince (the brother) just been a decent person.
I loved Ak Hee, I had SLS for Ak Hee, but Sajo Hyun grew on me later on in the drama when he started to develop a lot of the attributes I like about Ak Hee. Ak Hee was such a hilarious (and adorable) character. I loved his sarcasm and his attitude, he was a mood. He truly did not care about anyone but Kyera/ Yeon Wol, I hated that she never saw his feelings as sincere. Ak Hee is treated as though he is the human embodiment of greed, and nothing else despite the fact that he is able to feel love and pain. He was only treated like a human at the begining of the drama, but later on he is treated as though he is just an evil spirit, and not part of Sajo Hyun.
There were a lot of plot twists in this drama, you don't really know whether Ak Hee is good or bad , if anything he was just greedy, which made him anxious, which made him do stupid things.
I also did not hate the Princess Consort, I didn't like her at all at the start, but then you get to see that even though she is selfish, she is not a bad person and she is also not really the MLs love interest. She had a lot of character development despite not having much on screen time.
I think the only thing I did not like about this drama was how Sajo Hyun and Ak Hee did not even try to understand Yeon Wol's hate of Sajo Hyun's father. Her hate and revenge were completely justified, though the vengeance itself was not very satisfying.
SPOILER - Ending:
I loved the ending of this drama. I never expected a satisfying happy ending for this type of drama, but this one had one.
Though Ak Hee is sort of killed of (I interpreted it as Sajo Hyun becoming mentally strong enough to no longer need Ak Hee), by the end of the drama Sajo Hyun becomes a lot like Ak Hee, and the pathological lying and greed aside, Ak Hee also becomes somewhat like Sajo Hyun.

A Heartbreakingly BEAUTIFUL Tragedy
I LOVED this movie. It was so much better than I expected it to be, I don't know why I put off watching this for so long. Everything was PERFECT: the casting, the plot and its execution, the characters and music.I LOVED all the twists in this movie, I watched the trailer before watching this, so some of the twists were expected. But, the story is so much sadder then it seems. Despite Feng Ren being the supposed villain in this movie, he had the most tragic and heartbreaking story and I got where he was coming from. His backstory as to how he became the villain he was at the present day reminds me of Anakin's story. All he wanted was the Song of Yin Meng, the song he wrote with the love of his life who died ten days after they met.
It was so heartbreaking to see Feng Ren lose the love of his life TWICE, he knew her for such a short time but he loved her so much. I cried both times. And the twists just kept on coming. Not only was the FL the love of his life, but he made up the existence of Yin Meng, his "wife", so that everyone else in the world believes that he was married when in fact he had never married anyone and instead spent most of his life mourning the woman who possessed Hong Luan's body for a short time, the FL.
The plot of this movie was so detailed. The execution was PERFECT, non of the events take place in chronological order: first, because it's timetravel and second, because the plot is first told from the FL's POV and then the ML's POV. I LOVED that we got to see the story from both sides and we got to see ALL the important events. Though it may not have been in chronilogical order, the entire plot made sense. Once you put all the pieces together, it just gets even more heartbreaking.
I loved how the plot also made sense through its timeline of events. All the events in this movie were caused by a timeloop, showing how "destined"/inevitable the tragic love story was.

Intense and Hot
I really liked the intensity of the romance in this drama but I didn't really like the whole love at first sight aspect. I can kind of understand the ML and his love at first sight for the FL since his charecter is suppose to be obsessive and possessive. So it might have started of as obsession going on to love, but the drama didn't really show this development since the show is from the FL's perspective. But I don't understand how the FL immediately fell in love with him. She is shown to be a shy, introverted person who is constantly hit on by men and is always uncomfortable by it. How the hell did she immediately fall for the overbearing ML. It makes no sense to me.I really liked the ML, especially compared to the FL, he is also the exact opposite of the FL. The FL is the epitome of a damsel in distress and it was so annoying. I only saw the tag "weak female lead" after starting the drama, and the tag really bothered me. At first you don't really see how weak and pathetic her character is until the last few episode. Which I also couldn't understand. How could a person who just recently moved from a countryside to a big city, going to (from what I gathered) a good university and (also from what I gathered) living on her own, be so weak and pathetic. The fact thay she was able to do all that, all by herself after living with her family on essentially a farm and somehow becomes completely dependent on another guy, is what baffles me. Also, how does she not already have some sort of job. I hate that they made the FL who could have at least have some backbone, into such a pathetic damsel who is always pitiful of herself. How on earth did she live independently without the ML.
Litterally the only good thing about this drama and the only reason I was able to finish it was because it was steamy. When I say this drama was hot, I mean REALLY steamy. Not to mention the good looking cast. Both the ML and FL are handsome/gorgeous, they had good chemistry, but the FL's characteristics got in the way, a lot. The ML was so damn hot, kinda sadistic, has such a nice voice and says some of the hottest things. And that's about it. I'm a bit confused and intrigued by the ML's relationship with his (male) secretary though.
There's really not much to the plot. When you have a love at first sight drama where it is reciprocated immediately, there's nothing much you can add to it. Good thing is that it is really short, so worth the watch if you want an intense and hot romance with very little else to it.

Crazy AF character that grow on you
I hated almost all the characters at the start of the drama. It took a few episodes for them to grow on me, but I took an almost immediate liking to Ho In though he is not any more sane then any of the other characters. Jin Sung was probably the only clear headed and sane character. At first I thought it was a bit over the top, how insane all the characters were, but its set in a high school and honestly, high school student can be terrifying when it comes to bullying, especially in a fairly sane Kdrama, which this is not.I shipped Ae Jin and Ho In together almost throughout this entire drama because they were so alike. But I didn't mind that they didn't end up together, I thought I would be disappointed but I wasn't. This drama has very little romance. There are couples, two different couples throughout this drama, either they had very little screen time or they weren't 'real'.
As much as I hated Ho In and Ha Neul together, they grew on me after watching their POV. Every episode would start off with the POV of a character and once I saw the POV of one of the main characters they start growing on me, because I get to see the story from their side and get to know their history. It really helped with the character development.
I did not like Jin Sung at first because he seemed really dodgy for essentially being a normal and decent human being since absolutely no one else in this drama was. But I loved him when he came back after being absent for SEVERAL episodes. His POV was one of my favourites because we got to see what a genuine person he was. And his scenes on the last episode were so damn sweet and probably the only real romance in this drama where a ship I didn't even know I was shipping sailed.
This drama had a very satisfying ending where EVERYONE got what they deserved and the FL and SFL finally became best friends again, a friendship that, again, grew on me after the flashbacks and POV of Ae Jin and Ha Neul.
Definitely a worth while drama to watch. Short and straight to the point with no unnecessary drama.

Cute but Cringe
This is my first Japanese drama and I am not disappointed. I loved the cast of this drama, especially the ML, he has such a nice voice and smile.I don't know if it's the just the character or the actress, but the FL's voice really annoyed me sometimes. Her character was meant to be cute, which she is, don't get me wrong. But I don't understand why her voice has to go so high pitch and childish sometimes. She has a lovely smile and her character is also really smart and "crafty". I love that they didn't make her dumb, which they easily could have since many people like her for her cuteness. I love that one of the many reasons the ML loves her because of how smart and strategic she is when it comes to her every day life, including her savings and how she spends her money. It was hilarious to see his reaction when he found out she's better at saving money then he was despite how much she spends on expensive clothes and products.
There wasn't any love triangles or any long misunderstandings in this drama. It was very short and sweet. Despite how unrealistically their relationship began, their marriage life seemed very realistic.
The only thing that would have made it better was if we had more of the story from the ML's prospective and got to know more of his thoughts as we did the FL's. I do love that at the end we got to see their wedding on the first episode from his prospective and see what he thought of her.
The best scene in this drama is when he finally told everyone they were married. It was hilarious how shocked everyone was, including the FL.

I LOVED everything about this drama, all the characters and character development
Watched this whilst it was ongoing, thought I'd write the review now despite it being almost year since I started the drama. It was a very memorable drama.I haven't read the webtoon and I never will (I've read parts of it online). But, from what I heard, the webtoon isn't very good mostly because it lacks character development, something this drama did not have an issue with. Do not come into this drama expecting it to be like the webtoon.
I loved all the characters in this drama and I was actually able to understand them all (excluding Soo Jin). This drama deals with a lot of big issues such as suicide, bullying, depression, loss of a parent (2 actually) and abusive parents. It's also about following your dream. It's not just about romance, the drama doesn't start with romance (though it does have a lot of chemistry), it grows into romance in a not slow (but not fast) pace after delving into the friendship of all the characters. Despite the serious issues this drama deals, it is still a hilarious romcom and doesn't gloss over the trauma all of the characters had to deal with.
I found Ju Gyeong relatable in many ways. She was bullied at her school for the way she looked, despite what a great person she was. She was betrayed by her friends and she hated herself because of how people judged her solely based on her looks. Her parents didn't understand her or even attempt to (until the end), and out of all her siblings, she was the least academically smart (and least good looking) and was often overlooked by her family. She made herself "beautiful" using makeup as her shield to protect herself from people bullying her at her new school. She had a lot of trust issues and didn't think that people will ever like her if they knew how she really looked. I loved that the drama delved into this a lot and had her finally accept herself and be okay with people knowing what she looked like without makeup, it stopped being her lifeline.
I loved Su Ho and Seo Jun. Despite having a little bit of a second lead syndrome, I loved that Ju Gyeong ended up with Su Ho though. Su Ho and Seo Jun both lost there best friend which caused there friendship to break up. They were the best of friends, they were so good together both when they hated each other and when they loved each other (a lot of people ship them). They both lost a parent, but whilst Seo Jun was really close to his mother, Su Ho hated his father and wasn't close to anyone. He was the most lonely character in this drama which is why it was perfect that he and Ju Gyeong ended up together, whilst also maintaining an amazing friendship with Seo Jun,
I LOVED the second lead couple. They were the perfect role reversal couple. I loved their screen time and I loved that they didn't take all the screen time (like the second lead couple in Reply 1988), despite the drama showing their relationship from the very start to their marriage at the very end.
I liked Soo Jin at the start, a lot. But there was always something dodgy about her and you could see it. She later became the character I hated most and I didn't think she would be redeemable at all. I wasn't expecting to ever like her again, but at the end I started to love her and you could really see her character development through her expressions alone. Park Soo Na did an amazing job portraying Soo Jin, you could really see the darkness behind her eyes when she was facing a lot of abuse from her family and when she was no longer "good" and became Ju Gyeong's bully. The one thing I couldn't understand about her is how she could so easily betray such a loyal and sweet friend. Which is why I prefer Soo Ah and Ju Gyeong's relationship, the only friendship where Ju Gyeong wasn't betrayed.
I loved the acting in this drama. Despite Cha Eun Woo being criticised for not showing any emotions in this drama, it was his role to play the "cold' character and he did show a lot of emotions as did all the other main leads. All the main leads had at least one really emotional breakdown and I loved how Moon Ga Young portrayed her character, the most emotionally revealing and yet reserved, main character.

Loved the main and second leads and the main leads reciprocated romance
I didn't watch the original Kdrama this is a remake off, but I really enjoyed this Jdrama. It's hard to find a drama where the main leads and second leads with romantic interest for the main leads, are lovable. By this, I mean that despite the second leads being in love with the main leads, the two love triangles, they actually helped the main leads get together after they were both rejected. Even if they weren't rejected, neither of them would have been with the leads because of their loyalty and friendships with the leads. The SFL was such a good friend to the FL, I wish they had more scenes together showing how they became such good friends. The SML was so adorable and friendly, he had a thing for the FL since episode 1.
I loved the relationship between the main leads. Despite the ML getting the SFL mistaken to be his childhood friend Ai, who was in fact the FL, he didn't fall for the SFL. His entire relationship with the SFL was revolved around his past with the FL. I LOVED that he fell for the FL again in the present without knowing who she really was, and I loved that he didn't think to be with the SFL romantically when he mistook her to be Ai.
The only thing I didn't like about this drama was how the plot mostly focused on the main leads and their relationship with the second leads, without actually focusing on the second leads as individuals. The supporting characters hardly got any screen time if it didn't include the main leads. Everyone and "Most" were friendly colleagues and possibly even friends, but their friendship is mostly implied rather than shown.
I loved how short and straight to the point this drama was, with no unnecessary drama from supporting or second lead characters. Their were no bad guys or annoying characters and all the characters actions were reasonable.
I loved how steady and strong the main leads relationship was and how they were both able to follow their own dreams.
I loved how the leads have always felt the same way about each other. The ML and FL were in love as children, when the FL was pretty and the ML was not. And how they fell for each other again, when the ML was handsome and the FL was no longer pretty. This is the kind of reciprocated relationship I love in romance dramas.

Is this meant to be love?
I really did not like this drama, entirely because of the FL. I don't even blame the ML for not liking the FL for the majority of this drama or even admitting to the FL that he likes her after he realises his feelings for her. I genuinely can't hate the ML for his treatment towards the FL.The drama starts off 2 years into the FL's crush on the ML, on the day she confesses to him. Now, the fact that she had a crush on a guy she has never even been in the presence off, and only developed this crush after watching a speech he made at school in itself is ridiculous. The fact that she had a crush on him in the first episode wasn't what annoyed me. It was the fact that she still "loved" him even after he rejected her upfront, ridiculed her and was never once nice to her. The FL was also very persistent with her persuel of the ML despite knowing that he hated her.
I NEVER once understood why the FL liked the ML. I also couldn't understand why so many people had a crush on the ML. I would understand it if he was even a little nice to her, but he wasn't. Even the times he helped her out, it was for his own gain because she either blackmailed him or he needed an excuse to not do something else. Throughout the entirety of this drama, I can't point out anything that would give a reason for the FL to like the ML as much as she did.
The FL's feelings for him weren't even love, as she consistently says it is. It's obsession. At no point in this drama can I say any sort of love developed. I think the ML only reciprocated an obsession towards the FL, not love. There wasn't enough sweet scenes between the leads to suggest otherwise. There were a few, but even then it just didn't equate to the intensity of the feeling the FL insists she has for the ML.
The FL is also really, really stupid. I hated that she didn't have any feelings for the SML who was so sweet to her throughout this drama. I hated how she used him knowing that he had feelings for her. I would say that I wanted them to end up together, if I didn't hate the FL as much as I did for not being able to develop any romantic feelings for the guy that has been in love with her since high school. Her ONLY flaw was her crush on the ML.
If the plot wasn't so revolved around the FL's obsession with the ML, this could have been a good drama. I felt like one of the reasons the ML didn't like the FL was because she was so obsessed with him. She made her entire life revolve around him.
I really liked the family of both leads, especially the ML's mother. She was by far the best character. What I can't understand is how the ML and even his younger brother were such cold and mean people despite being raised by such lovely parents. The younger brother does grow on me though, and I also never once disliked him. The ML's mother was the biggest shipper of the main leads, which is another reason the ML hated the FL. I felt like this was understandable considering the fact that he felt suffocated by the FL and her obsession with him, the fact that she also brought it into his family must have gotten on his last nerve.
I'm also not saying that I liked the ML. I didn't particularly like the relationship of the main leads, but in general, personality wise, the FL is better than the ML (when it comes to anything but the ML). My favourite relationships were the relationship between the FL and her friends, the relationship between the FL and her dad, and the best relationship was definitely the relationship between the FL and the ML's mother. I loved the ML's mother, she was the best part of this drama.

I would HIGHLY recommend this drama to EVERYONE
I LOVE everything about this drama, it's the first (K/C/T/J) drama I've re-watched and will rewatch many more times without getting sick of it. It still blows my mind when I think about the plot of this drama, especially from Kang Chul's perspective, how this random woman (Yeon Joo) came to his world only to litterally be the "key to his life" in every way. This is my favourite Kdrama and my favourite cross dimension drama. It is also the only cross dimension drama I've seen where there aren't any plot holes and where the main characters travel back and forth between the two dimensions several times. All the episodes are VERY detailed, relevant and much more fast paced than I remember it being. There are a total of 16 episodes in this drama, and it was the PERFECT length for this drama to develop and conclude with a satisfying ending.
The main leads, Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo had amazing chemistry and visuals, they looked so good together. I loved how all the side characters were relevant to the plot. They may not be relevant throughout the drama, but they had their roles to play, and when they came in, they became a major part of the plot, especially the villains. The OST fit really well with the romamce/thriller of the drama. I loved all of the cast, they were perfect for all their roles. Main leads aside, Kim Eui Sung was amazing as Oh Sung Moo who had some of the best plot twists and most unexpected character developments.
This drama has everything and will fit several genres including: romance, mystery, thriller, fantasy, sci-fi, action, psychological, medical and comedy. It's such a well rounded drama that I HIGHLY recommend to everyone.

Started it for Marcus Chang, finished it for the OST and decent plot.
I didn't like the first episode. At all. But started and continued this drama for Marcus Chang and later the OST.I finished Secret (Kdrama) right before this, and Yi Ting gave me serious vibes if the ML, Min Hyeok. But, the execution of this drama is very different in the sense that as the audience, we don't actually know the back story of events and why the ML is doing what he's doing.
Plot:
Typical revenge plot. ML sort of plays the girl, but then actually falls for her. FL is, as expected for these types of plots, sweet, naive and really friendly.
OST:
This is probably my favourite OST. The music suites this drama so well, suspenseful and fast pace with AMAZING lyrics. The lyrics (translation) of the songs suited the scenes so well and were also like a reply to one another. Here are 2/3 OST's.
1st OST (Opening) Chorus:
I will love you [English]
Love is like mockery
Don't accept his nonsense
I will be waiting [English]
How ridiculous is love?
He was the one who turned it into a joke (his love is a joke).
It's not the incapability of loving, it's that he's unworthy (he is unworthy of your love).
2nd OST Chorus:
Walked past so many intersections I was once confused and suspected the map in my hands.
Heading towards your direction , caught in a maze of pursuit , exhausted , exile.
Even if this journey in search of you is toilsome painful and makes me lose my way.
You are that happy destination that will end my lonelyness.
Yi Ting:
Yi Ting started off as a serious bastard in this drama (especially where the SFL, his business partners daughter was concerned), but it also made him hotter, especially his ('evil') smirk. I love Marcus Chang, but I wanted to punch his character in the face at the start, but then you realise that he was NEVER bad. Yi Ting is a character you love to hate (because you don't yet know why he's doing what he's doing, or what he's actually doing), but a character you grow to love. He's really bipolar if anything, gives so many mixed signals and it takes half this drama to figure out where he stands and whether he's sincere. Like the OST lyrics, I wasn't sure whether his love was real or not. Best way to describe him is that he comes off as very SKETCHY and lonely. We don't see his whole story at first, which makes his actions more intriguing, and Marcus Chang just looks really, really HOT in this role as an anti-hero lead, and not just a jerky/narcissist person as his character was at the start of Lost Romance.
Lei Xinyu:
I liked her a lot because I understood her. She didn't annoy me and didn't come off as a damsel in distress. Though she's naive, it's not unreasonably so, and it makes sense for her to be the way she is. Her character made sense and in a way, she was really strong. She lost everything in a day, but bared through through it and came out better. Personality wise I really liked her, but she was a bit too nice, surprisingly not that forgiving though. She was also unexpectedly smart, she has great education, but she was also smart in the way the ML was smart, I didn't think she could pull off hiding secrets, but she could.
Lin Man:
No spoilers or anything. I didn't ever think she was as bad as everyone said she was, simply for the fact that Lei Xinyu was her daughter. And her daughter thought the world of her, the daughter she raised herself and who grew up with her influence. But, I also knew that Yi Ting couldn't be entirely wrong about her because he spent 12 years obsessing over her.
Xiao Yue:
I loved Xiao Yue. She was my favourite characters. A strong/badass female, who's also nice and genuine. Unlike the FL she puts people in their place from the start. She is the kind of friend that I can only wish to have. Zhong Wen was the perfect man for Xiao Yue, I knew from the moment she started taking his emails that they'd have some sort of romantic pairing.
Zhong Wen:
Similar to the FL personality wise. A really good, friendly but naive person when it comes to social interactions. Xiao Yue has street smarts and understands how people really are, whilst Zhong Wen, like Xinyu, was protected from the real world and at first didn't really understand it. But he was also well educated, from a wealthy family and book smart.
Got bored towards the end and started skipping through it. But overall, it was worth the watch.

Did not end how I expected it to
I really liked this drama, and season 2 contained a lot more action then season 1. We got to see a lot more vampire hunters as well as a completely different side to the characters that we've already met.I loved Ya Long. He was my favourite character as well as the most open and honest character in the entire series. I loved all his moments with Ye Yin and I wish there were more, especially in the present time. I wanted them to be together so bad.
I pitied Si Yin in season 1, especially because I felt there was unrequited love on his part, towards Ye Yin. I didn't at any point ship him and Ye Yin, they had more of a family bond, no matter what reincarnated version we saw of him. I also found it a bit incestuous for either of them to have romantic feelings for each other because Si Yin litterally adopted and raised Ye Yin. After finding out more about their past life, it definitely seemed incestuous for them to be together romantically. Si Ling (Ya Long's past self) litterally said that it was not right for them to be together because (SPOILER) Yi Sha (Ye Yin in her first life) was literally made from a rib of Sha Ka (Si Yin's past life), and she was made for Sha Ka's best friends, Si Ling.
If anyone was intruding in the romantic relationship of Ye Yin, it was Si Yin because it always seemed like Ye Yin and Ya Long were meant to be together.
Music/Sound Effects:
Also, I just loved "Stately Suspense" from "The Task: High Pressure Strings & Beats". It was my favourite soundtrack in the entire series and it played whenever Ya Long and Ye Yin met in the present. I mean some of the sound effects this seasons were just weird, a mixture of Star Wars ligtsaber sound effect and old video games sound effects. But "Stately Suspense" really did it for me.
More of a SPOILER review below:
I find it ironic how when a lead character is introduced as 'evil', they usually end up being the good guy and when a lead character is litterally introduced as the 'good guy' he is more of a bad guy then the 'evil' character. This was definitely the case for this drama. A character that was constantly described as evil had more of a moral compass then the good guy.
Both Ya Long and Si Yin were in love with Ye Yen. I felt like Ye Yin genuinely and romantically loved Ya Long but couldn't truly express this love because if all the promises Si Yin made her keep. Ye Yin loved Si Yin as her "master", a family member and either an older brother or father like figure because he adopted and raised her. She kept her promises to Ye Yin because she felt that she owed him and no other reason, not even because of her familial love for him.
Towards the end of this drama I started to hate Si Yin because despite how much he claimed to love Ye Yin, he never truly loved her. He loved her past self, Yi Sha, and even that wasn't love, it was possession for the being he created. He was the villain to the story and I really hated how at the end Ye Yin sacrificed everything in order for Si Yin and Ya Long's past friendship to stay in tact and undo the entire plot of the drama. Just thinking about how tragic Ye Yin's ending was makes me really sad. Ya Long and Ye Yin deserved their happy ending. I HATE dramas that end by essentially undoing the events of the entire drama.
I gave this drama such high ratings because it wasn't bad, just the ending was. It had everything that I love in dramas: action, romance, historical, time-travel, supernaturel and VAMPIRES. Honesty, Ya Long deserves a 10/10. He reminded me of a better version (personality wise) of Gwi from Scholar Who Walks the Night and I was only able to finish that drama off because of Gwi.

I LOVED all the characters and storylines in this drama.
I LOVED both main leads in this drama. Seo In Guk had some of the best LINES. I thought the FL would be one of those goodie goodie FL's, that are annoyingly nice. But, she wasn't, she can be more savage than the ML from time to time.I LOVED how the plot of this drama wasn't dragged. Every single episode had its own story, or was an extension to the previous episode. When one storyline ended, another unexpected storyline would start. All the side characters had their own story, whether it's on or off screen, it didn't just focus on the main leads. The main leads story did get kind of boring, the second leads story is similar to the usual love triangle kdramas I watch, and it was really good on it's own. All the characters were connected somehow and all the main characters and the FL's brother had a bond of sorts.
I originally started this drama for Lee Soo Hyuk after Born Again and more so after the Scholar Who Walks the Night. And, I LOVED his charecter, Cha Joo Ik's atitutude was EVERYTHING, again, with really good lines. There is a love triangle in this drama, for the second lead couple, and I LOVED it, because, for a second lead couple, unlike a main couple, there's a possibility for either love intrest to be endgame. And I was shipping Joo Ik hard with Ji Na. I LOVED how all Joo Ik wanted was to litterally be the main lead to Ji Na's novel because her ex, Hyun Gyu was always the main lead to all her other stories.
SPOILERS:
I loved how this drama had a very closed and wrapped up ending. I usually like open ending so I can make up my own ending, but this ending closed the drama perfectly.
I also loved that it had a happy ending, it would have been just as good with a sad ending. Honestly, I was also expecting a happy ending despite the drama having a sad undertone, simply because it constantly gave hints so a happy ending even though every character thought it would be a sad ending.
