I’m someone with a deep passion for K-dramas. They’ve become my comfort zone, my escape from the everyday grind, and a well-deserved reward after a long day of work. There’s something about getting lost in those stories that feels like a warm embrace after the world has been a little too tough.

While I have a real love for crime and thriller genres—the kind that keep you on the edge of your seat, guessing what's going to happen next—I also have a softer side when it comes to what I watch. There are times when I crave something more romantic, something that speaks to the heart. But I’m not drawn to just any romance. What really captivates me are slice-of-life dramas, those simple, everyday stories that feel authentic and real. The ones that manage to capture the quiet beauty in life’s small moments. And if they have a poetic touch—whether it's in the way they’re filmed, the dialogue, or even the music—it makes them all the more special for me. Those are the dramas that leave a lasting impression, the ones that make you think about life in a different way, long after the episode ends.

It’s this blend of genres and emotions that really resonates with me. K-dramas offer that perfect mix of intensity and tenderness, keeping me engaged and comforting me at the same time. They're more than just entertainment—they’re a space where I can unwind, reflect, and sometimes, even see a bit of myself in the characters.

My rating system:

1 – I didn’t like it at all, but I still watched it because I hate dropping shows. I have a strange philosophy about dropping dramas; sometimes they start off boring, but later they become too interesting to stop.

2, 3, 4 – These are ratings I never give. If I didn’t like a drama, it’s an automatic 1 for me.

5, 6 – Mid, nothing special. It could have been done better, but it’s not the worst.

7 – It’s fine. A drama that probably kept me company while I was doing other things like eating, cleaning, or watching before bed.

8 – I loved it, but not that much. There were some flaws that I couldn’t ignore.

9 – I only give this if the drama was great but didn’t have the ending I was hoping for.

10 – For me, this means it’s a masterpiece.

As you might have guessed, I rarely drop a K-drama—it’s a rare occurrence. For me to drop a drama, it has to be incredibly boring or completely senseless. However, it’s not uncommon that, years later, I’ll come across a reel or a YouTube video and think, "Hmm, maybe I should give it another chance."

The same goes for dramas that I initially rated a 1. Over time, my opinion can change, especially after a rewatch or if I’ve seen something worse since then.
