The Netflix film Jeon, Ran (directed by Kim Sang Man, produced and written by Park Chan Wook) tells the story of Jong Ryeo (played by Park Jung Min), the son of the highest-ranking warrior family in Joseon, and his body servant Cheon Yeong (played by Kang Dong Won) who grew up together during the chaotic times of the Japanese invasion and are reunited as enemies as the closest confidants and soldiers of 'Seonjo of Joseon' (Cha Seung Won).

In Jeon, Ran, Kang Dong Won takes on the role of Cheon Yeong, with a low social status but exceptional swordsmanship skills. Anticipation is high for Kang Dong Won to portray a character who fights fiercely to escape from unjust slavery with his unique charm and outstanding action performance.

Park Jung Min portrays Jong Ryeo, the son of the highest-ranking warrior family in Joseon, who becomes 'Seonjo of Joseon's bodyguard after passing the civil service examination. Park Jung Min will depict a character who goes beyond social boundaries and forms a friendship with a slave, experiencing frustration, with his nuanced acting and distinct presence. The audience is excited to see the synergy between Kang Dong Won and Park Jung Min in their first collaboration.

Cha Seung Won brings to life the role of Seonjo of Joseon, the king who abandons his people and flees during the Imjin War but focuses solely on rebuilding his authority after the war. Curiosity is heightened about portraying the monarch's image amid a turbulent era by Cha Seung Won, who seamlessly transitions between various roles.

Kim Shin Rok, who left a strong impression in the Netflix series Hellbound, adds strength to the drama as Beom Dong, a resolute figure who cannot be swayed by enemies or social hierarchy.

Furthermore, Jin Seon Kyu is set to showcase a wise and humane character as Kim Ja Ryeong, a noble-born leader of the rebels who guides the people amidst the chaos.

Jung Sung Il, who added tension to the story in the Netflix series The Glory, was cast as the brutal Japanese frontline officer Kenshin, who recognizes Cheon Yeong's exceptional swordsmanship. The solid casting lineup is now complete.
