What the actual fuck did I watch
I watched this whole drama in one sitting and hated every single episode. I mean the first couple was lowkey cute but what do you mean he cured his depression cause he fell in love... They took mental health very lightly and made him love driven which was weird cause he was depressed from losing his lover. Also I think the female character was used as a pity character that out male lead fell for because of her 'hardship' aka forced to be a gold digger. I feel like the writer inflicted every trauma to this female lead which just made her boring. And this whole loop thing was pretty cool, him being able to back in time is pretty cool as well. And honestly their romance felt forced so yeah... didn't like this. + the daughter and the male lead needs therapy!!! Please ????Esta resenha foi útil para você?

The Most Endearing Watch in 2024
I was so caught up in this drama, that I didn’t realise it was the last episode yesterday, that’s how much I enjoyed it!Fundamentally, this show piques the question of how lifestyle diseases could adversely affect a family with superpowers. We are led to believe that their decline began with Bok I-Na’s birth, it is a curse or vice versa. While the poor kid spends 10 episodes or so, battling her insecurities; the elders are at another level of bewilderment. Joining them on this charade of epic proportions is a family of scammers, who turn out to be less of cheating scums and more of potential bodyguards. The show is all about familial love or the loss of it; therefore it hits harder. Each of them are so lost in their own world, that they have forgotten how to be a family unit. That’s where the scammers come in and teach them the true meaning of being a family. Sounds cliche or unbelievable, right? Wrong, because this is the most important part of this storyline. The budding romance between Bok Gwi-Ju & Do Da- Hee is questionable on all accounts; I’m still wondering how the depressed and aloof Gwi Ju suddenly fell for Da- Hee after she decides to dump him. But that’s where the magic lies; knowingly or unknowingly, Da Hee brings this entire family of misfits together and gives a new meaning to their regretful lives.

Short but sweet
This drama needs to have longer episodes because it has a great story to tell. The Bok family is known to be a wealthy family but living in a low profile life, without knowing that they are living in secrets. Their family has superpowers that slowly are losing because of some incident happening and changes.Their lovestory is unique., it started with a role-playing and pretentious. The FL's family tries to scam thr ML's family because they know they are wealthy enough. Without realizing that she slowly develops feelings to the ML until the FL is avoiding the ML to stop what she started because she is falling fo him, but the ML keeps on chasing her because he wonders why he sees her differently and able to talk and touched her ih his past. The ML has the power to travel in the past specially the happy ones and the unforeseeable and special ones. They slowly develop feelings for each other in the sense that they needed each other. In the past he is the one to save her through the fire, he needs to save her because its their fate. They try to change their future but they can't maybe its their destiny to live in pain and sadness. But they never know what their future holds .
I have to commend on Jang Ki Yong's performance in this drama because you will see his different emotions in this drama. It his first drama after he was released in the military service.

The atypical family
Funny thing I thought that it was out in 2023.It was funny, warm at times, I fell in love with the cast, their chemistry was on point, characters sometimes were annoying but it made them more human. I love the romance part. Also love the ending eventhought many people say that it was rushed and more an open ending (spoiler or not) - still there is some right, the last episode could be even 5 minutes longer and it would work perfectly.

It had so much potential, but I can't accept the female lead at all.
The way she was at the beginning and throughout was disappointing. I'm on episode 4, and after reading the comments and confirming what I predicted was going to happen, I decided to skip everything and just watch the moments with the daughter. When I saw edits on TikTok, I thought the show focused mainly on her. Anyway, I don't care about the other characters. I started watching for the girl, and it seems I'll continue only for her. Also, I'm frustrated—why did they treat the female lead like that in the family? In episode 4, the male lead tells her everything so easily! Do they (the family) not know how to be cautious of strangers? How do they know she won't steal from them? They know nothing about her.
So I "completed" it, though I won’t hide the fact that I skipped most of it after episode 4. I'm bitter about the female lead and their relationship. This show had a lot of potential, but I don't think it deserves the high rating it has. Most of the time, dramas on MyDramaList are rated accurately, but this one is one of those traps—you see a high rating and have high expectations. I've fallen victim to this many times, which is why I usually read some comments beforehand.
I wish the drama had focused more on the daughter, and that the male lead never fell in love again. There should've been someone to help him realize his mistake. Moreover, they could’ve added mystery. For example, maybe they never knew why his old wife died, and it turned out to be a murder. The family members could’ve been more interesting characters with more intriguing superpowers. I think you get my idea. This could have had action, mystery, and maybe even some romance between the daughter and the boy, with good interactions as they grow up.
Anyway, this might not sound perfect, but English isn’t my first language, so I can’t express myself properly. The 4.5 stars are only for the daughter:)

love this
I didn't have too many expectations when watching the first part of the movie. Like a family that gets rich thanks to the superpowers of family members, then they prepare to fall into a "financial crisis" when the members lose their superpowers due to "modern diseases". I find this quite funny and.... a bit "childish". However, the screenwriter has developed the plot reasonably and deeply. In fact, many people suffer from the same "modern diseases" as the characters.I love how the characters develop through each episode. Relationships and misunderstandings are gradually resolved properly. The movie is not only about love but also about family, friends, etc. What I especially like the most is the way the movie is shot, which is quite special compared to other Korean movies. The ending left me quite confused but overall it was an okay ending

A Unique and Engaging Take On Relatable Problems
My 4 categories are Acting/Cast, Writing, Direction/SFX/Music, Entertainment Value.I wanted to watch this drama because of Jang Ki Yong (장기용). I loved his acting in My Ahjusshi, but it seems he's only played emotionless, stoic characters since (I hate it...). Except maybe Born Again; that drama was alright. So, I was interested to see how he'd do in this drama, although I didn't have high hopes.
Acting/Cast: I felt like Jang Ki Yong (장기용) actually played a unique character in this drama. I'm so proud. Everyone did great. I wasn't previously too familiar with any of the other actors in this drama, but everyone exceeded my expectations. I would say the acting of Park So Yi (박소이), the male lead's daughter, stood out to me the most. Her character felt very realistic and I personally related to her a lot. Kim Soo Hyun's (김수현) character came across as a bit annoying and over-the-top in the first half of the drama, but even she grew on me as her character grew. I really liked watching viewers cry about the female lead not being a perfect, sweet angel. Con artist male leads are fine but con artist female leads are unthinkable? Thank you for a unique female lead with an actual personality and character growth. However, I kind of wish they leaned more into the bad girl aspect of her character though. Don't be afraid to make an immoral female lead; that way, seeing her character growth will be more rewarding in end. 8.5/10
Writing: The plot is on point. Such an interesting premise -- a depiction of common issues that regular people face, but expressed metaphorically through a family with super powers. I also really like how the writers didn't explain the metaphors to us, therefore preserving this drama's intelligent writing. However, the male lead did talk about having depression a little too much. Saying it once was enough. Also, the food-addicted sister was a bit much with the scenes of her stuffing her face with food. However, I like how the story unfolded; it didn't become predictable. The characters were written well. Each character had notable character growth throughout the drama. The time jump towards the end was jarring. I'm not even quite sure how big of a jump it was. It seemed like it was only a few months, but the weight loss was too severe for it to be that short...so it just confused the hell out of me. Also, the sudden romance at the end should have been hinted at throughout the drama in order to make it more cute and believable. The dance club plot point with the dad seemed like it came out of nowhere, too, as if it was only used to further the main plot. I felt that as the drama was wrapping up, a certain character had too sudden of a change. It was too idealistic for my taste. In reality, a tiger tends to not change its stripes, especially that quickly. In other words, the ending was too happy in contrast to the rest of the drama. However, the ultimate ending between the two leads was beautifully written. 7.5/10
Direction/SFX/Music: This drama is well-produced with a vibe somewhat reminiscent of a Tim Burton film (a bit gloomy, a bit cartoonish, a bit eccentric). The SFX wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. A lot of fire in this drama and some flying - both are effects that seem to be more difficult to get looking right. I can say though that I was highly impressed with the quality of the fat suit and makeup. It looked very real. The OST is just as unique as the rest of the drama. It adds to the drama's quirkiness. 9/10
Entertainment Value: This drama kept me guessing until the very end with its unique plot and cast of characters. I think a huge reason why this drama was so entertaining is because it's so different from anything I've seen in the K-drama world. It's slightly controversial, it's deep, it's relatable, and the leads aren't your typical romcom leads. I watched this as it aired along with Lovely Runner and I was so surprised at how much I was enjoying two airing dramas at once. It has really been a good year for K-dramas so far. 10/10
Overall, I gave this drama a 9/10. All in all, I was very impressed by this drama. In the beginning, I was so shocked that I was enjoying it, that I kept looking through comments and reviews to see if anyone else was feeling the same way (and they were). This drama also pulled on my heartstrings a lot as I personally related to the struggles that multiple characters were going through, especially the daughter. I definitely recommend this drama to anyone who wants to watch a very different take on a romcom, family healing drama.

Great Concept. Great Storyline. But Lame and Convenient Ending.
Great concept. Great storyline. Some reckless details but very few. However, the ending is very lame and feels like cheating.Just before the ending, the ML can suddenly touch anything in the past just to clear the game—this is cheating #1. Then, his son can bring anything from the past at the age of 5, when he doesn't even understand the concept of the past. He doesn't know what a 'year' is, so we can't even talk about how he understands '18 years ago', but the FL can persuade him to bring the ML back from 18 years ago...? And they don't make it realized about his method for bringing things back from the past either, so it feels more like magic than a superpower. They make it too convenient without rationality. So that's cheating #2.
P.S. I usually give music scores an average of 5 because I don't consider myself an expert in that field. If the music isn’t exceptionally good or bad, I might not notice it, so I try to be fair. But this series has put the wrong music in the wrong places and at the wrong times quite often. For example, when the ML goes back to meet the FL in the past for the first time. It happens under a serious atmosphere, but a light, funny music suddenly starts at that point -_- The music sounds out of place and doesn’t match the mood of the scenes. It's noticeably off.

ITS AWESOMEEEEEEE
Bruh, first of all I was a bit annoyed by the fact that the FL is a con artist but the way the ml accepts it and knows that she is gd is just amazing ?I've watched it until epi 8 (it's still ongoing) and bro i love it.
I watched all the episodes in one day-
Trust me, it's good.

This drama is a must watch!
Coming from someone who hasn’t really finished a lot of kdramas, I surprisingly binged through this one. I am absolutely devastated that I finished this. It was probably one of the best stories I’ve ever watched. I am normally not a big fan of family-themed dramas, but this one is hands down amazing!I would recommend this to literally anyone. It’s got an intricate plot that keeps you invested the whole series. The acting was top tier too! Honestly this was just really well done.
I hope they make a season two but it’s probably unlikely. I just love their wholesome family so much! If anything is stopping you from watch this, forget the hesitation and give it a go. It’s probably one of the best dramas I have ever watched tbh!
There was nothing about this that was bad, like I can’t even think of anything. And you know what, I’m giving this a 10/10 since it is so well deserved! I have never rated anything a 10/10 before, so this will be my first. I can’t wait to watch this again in the future

It delivered.
With only 12 episodes, a series needs to well written to deliver the 'punchline' by the end of the show and for certain this show did. If you love series, that are not necessarily slow-paced but takes it's time to deliver, then this series will definitely pique your interest.A common pitfall of many (Korean) series is that, the show starts out interesting, has it's moments in between but by the end of the show you're either completely lost in the mess the writers created or you simply lost interest.
Luckily the writers have not missed the mark during the production of this series, and delivered a series I will look back on years from now, thinking back how much I liked it, unlike some other shows that had me flabbergasted with the ending, for the wrong reasons.
For those thinking of starting out this show, it takes a few episodes for some people to really get into it and personally for me I thought the show was only getting better with each passing episode.
I could've added some more details about the show itself in this review, but going into this series blindly is probably the way to watch this seemingly hidden gem.

How to fall for scammers: Bok Family edition
I started watching this drama because of the superpower aspect of the drama. I was curious about how they lost them and what special thing Da Hae will do so they regain them. Let's just say it almost fell short. Our Atypical family has five members: Grandma (Bok Man Heum) who is the family leader and has precognitive dreams, Grand dad (Eom Soon Gu) who serves as the family pillar and a normal guy, Dad (Bok Gwi Ju) our male lead who can travel to the past and the supposed family gym runner, Aunt (Bok Dong Hee) who is a former model and can fly and the Daughter (Bok Ina) who is shy and introverted and can read minds. They all, well 3.5/5, suffer from "modern-day problems" like insomnia (grandma), bulimia (aunt), depression (dad) and smartphone addiction (daughter-she is the 0.5). I think I-na just needed a little more adult care and some therapy, then she would've been fine. They are all struggling to use their powers because of this alleged problems but spoiler, it's not, it's because they aren't happy. See, this family merely coexists with each other under the same room with grand dad trying his best to keep everything afloat. Enter Do Da Hae. She alongside her "adoptive" family run cons to get money to pay off her late dad's debt and the Boks (quick question: why didn't they take their dad's surname?? I digress) are the latest targets.
At first it seems like it will work seeing as they are practically beyond repair. But because of her fixation on playing wife and healing them, she unintentionally drags them out of the slump, and injects some happiness into them, thus curing them. She also helps them reconcile and finally care for each other thus mending the family. And she also falls in love putting the plan at risk because conflict of interest. Our unexpected second couple comes from Ina and her school crush who notices our invisible girl as much as she tries to stay hidden. He has her back and always makes her feel important.
This drama was a fun but mostly frustrating watch. Ngl, until like ep 6 ish, I was struggling to figure out how I feel about it. I was serving an interesting mid if I could say. There's fun moments and painfully obvious clichés. Not to mention the main couple's romance being outshone by the Kids. I won't talk about how the writer gaslighted (?) us into rooting for the main couple's romance after all the things Da Hae did to manipulate them or even how Ina's supposed friend turned best friend turned BULLY was just not happy about her not talking which is why she humiliated her like that..????.
Not the biggest fan of the ending because it just raised more questions and I wish our young couple deserved more screen time.
