Action Love Story
This series has everything you need. A good story, full of action with a little suspense. At some times it’s even funny. But the best thing about it is the chemistry between Mile and Apo . You can feel the tension between them. It can switch from being lovely and cute to being hot and temperamental in an instant…
It’s like riding a rollercoaster. You never know what’s around the next corner. This series keeps you at the edge of your seat and that is exactly what I’m looking for in a series!

quick review
i'll just write a quick review because i dont have time at the moment to go through the whole show. i only have two episodes left to watch. so far i liked the plot as a whole, i quite liked the acting too and i think that this show exceeded my usual expectations for dramas, which are quite low actually (though that doesnt mean i *like* low quality dramas). i just wanted to get some things out there, which are the things that i disliked most about the show and that made me lower my rating.first of all i didnt like the amount of sex scenes, though that's actually my personal preference. however i think that maybe people who expect more of the action genre may be a bit let down.
one of the two things i hated the most were the non-con scenes between vegas and porsche. im not saying that sexual assualt or, as in this case, sexual harassment shouldnt be included because they are things that (very unfortunately) happen, and very often too. im just mad about the fact that vegas harassed porsche twice and both times he was either drugged or drunk. the first time no one knew it was him so, eh fine. but the second time i hated the fact that NO ONE addressed it, and porsche still trusted vegas after that. i ALSO hated the fact that after these things happened and porsche was rescued, he had sex with kinn BOTH TIMES. i dont care if he gave consent, YOU DONT HAVE SEX WITH DRUGGED OR DRUNK PEOPLE. and NO ONE addressed that either.
the second thing that made me question this show was the relatonship (the interactions) between vegas and pete. i havent watched the whole show because it isnt out yet so i dont know how they'll further develop the plot on this matter, and i dont know if my judgement/opinion on this bit is valid or not. back to the point, i dont like how they're portraying (or at least how they've portrayed it so far) pete's abuse and very possible stockholm syndrome. as i was saying with non-con scenes with porsche, my point isnt that these things dont happen, but that they dont portray them well, as if rape and abuse werent "that bad". i feel like they're romanticising the relationship between vegas and pete, but a) i might be wrong given that i havent finished the show yet and b) maybe they had good intentions but didnt carry them out well.
i think they also wanted to make vegas' character deeper, which is obviously fine and actually very good (and interesting) to me. most people arent 100% good or 100% bad, and either way building a character's backstory makes them more interesting and deep, and complete as a person/character. however, (though i dont know if the intentions were good in this case too) maybe they made vegas' own abuse and trauma look like a justification for his actions, which they're not, they can be the reason why but not a justification. he is still a bad person who did things such as rape and torture (among the usual crimes people do in mafia shows). im not very sure about this point because i often dont perceive things as other people do, so maybe they didnt portray this situation badly at all.
(and honestly the fact that they "forgot" pete DURING A MISSION, and an important and dangerous one too, just bugs me. they could have come up with a more reasonable plot point)
okay edit n. 1 since i finally have access to my pc again: thinking back on the thing about vegas' backstory, i realised that maybe it was just to make pete sympathise with him and create that kind of bond through past trauma and abuse and not as an excuse for his behaviour (vegas' trauma is still valid even though he's an abuser too).

Disappointment (in Netherlands wrote)
I don’t want to translate so I write it in my own language.

Mostly lives up to the hype
Whether you want an engaging story, good cinematography, a good looking cast or plenty of skinship, you get it in KinnPorsche. It is a series that has something that will appeal to BL fans, and it can even be one of those series that will appeal to an audience that isn't all that into BL but doesn't mind it.The first trailer for KinnPorsche was really slick, and the production problems that occurred after that had people worrying about whether the series would even be made. But I guess the biggest challenge for the series is that the expectations have gone over the roof because of the original trailer and all the buzz it generated, and it is very easy to fall short even if the series is actually much better than the average Thai BL in 2022.
In most ways, the series doesn't disappoint. Featuring Thai mafia in a BL series may not be as original as when the first trailer came out (we've since had wannabe mafia-themed series like Golden Blood). Nevertheless, the story is engaging. The suspense regarding the forces who are trying to assassinate Porsche is nicely maintained. And subsequently, the suspense behind the death of Porsche's parents when he was a child makes the story more intriguing.
Perhaps the people behind the production sensed that things can get a little too tense for some, and there are clear attempts to insert lighter scenes and comic relief into the series. But this may also be where the series doesn't fare so well. Some of the scenes featuring Tankhun (Kinn's elder brother) are hilarious, but they don't always fit that well in the story. They are skillfully added though, and that helps a lot.
One of the bodyguards in Kinn's household, Pete, is nicely distinguished from the other bodyguards from the start. However, there could have been a bit more attention on him. His relationship with Vegas comes in fairly late in the story, but the sexual tension between him and Vegas could have gotten more attention than Vegas' clearly feigned interest in Porsche. The conflicting feelings of Pete (like his attraction to Vegas vs his loyalty to his boss) could also have been portrayed earlier in the series. (After all, someone working for Kinn seems to be working for Vegas, and this could have been exploited more.)
The story, while very strong overall, also seems to lose focus for a while after Vegas' plot against Kinn is exposed. It's the calm before the storm, but it is also where the story becomes becomes borderline smut. I'm not complaining about the sex scenes (including a brief hint of a blowjob taking place on a plane) even if they may be somewhat gratuitous. I would even commend the series for daring to court controversy by portraying Vegas and Pete's relationship with a touch of sadomasochism. (The scenes are nicely shot and the mediocre series, Unforgotten Night, which I have been watching can learn a few lessons here.) Yet, for a while, the story does not seem to be going anywhere. But of course, things do pick up again, so this is not a major problem.
The third couple, probably the most conventional Thai BL couple in the series, is Porchay and Kim. They are likable, and Barcode does a pretty good job portraying Porchay's innocent shyness. However, I don't quite understand Kim's coldness towards Porchay after the latter finds out that he is the younger brother of Kinn.
Despite the flaws that one might find with KinnPorsche, it is hard to dislike the series. They story is pretty good, the main characters are well developed, and anyone who wants even more skinship will probably have to visit p*rnhub.
There is also a good chance for a Season 2. I'm glad that KinnPorsche does not end with one of those annoying cliffhangers, but it drops more than enough hints to suggest that the full truth about the past is yet to be revealed: Korn (Kinn's father) shoots his brother just as he seems to be about to reveal something and later he says to himself that history is written by the victors, Porsche doesn't seem to have regained all the crucial memories of his childhood, while the mental state of Porsche's mother may also improve to the point she is able to reveal something about the past, and Kim seems to have been suspecting his father of something all along. The actor playing Kinn's father has really done a fine job, subtly looking dangerous while maintaining a calm and benevolent facade.

bom

Ludicrous
KinnPorsche holds a certain mythic status within Thai BL productions. In some ways, it deserves this status, due to a confluence of factors. To a certain extent, it was able to push the boundaries of the genre. On the other hand, perhaps due to being mired with production issues, it seems to fall flat on many of its promises.
Many of the characters are simply caricatures, never to be developed. Though sometimes intense in its portrayal of emotions, it oftentimes lacks a more in-depth understanding of the motivations of characters.
With a strong opening, it seems that the series just lost its track on the way, abandoning all intents of continuing the story, instead choosing to rely on its scenery. By the end, it was simply a glorified soap opera, with no apparent intent at resolving the many strands of its story.
It is clear that it is a project of love and intent:Miles and Apo need to be recognized as a driving force that, through their insistence, tried to do the best of a dwindling script.
Midway, it became ludicrous, and its absurdity became installed.
It demands to be seen once as, for better or worse, it holds a place in the history of these kinds of productions.

questionable
i watched some of this series back in 2022, but never came around to finishing it. after revising in 2024, it's still just as messy as when i left it.some of the saving graces for this series is the actors. looks, yes. chemistry, yes. erotic (though unecessary) sex scenes, yes.
but. acting can't save a messy plot. honestly, towards the end, i was just asking myself, "what..?" i sat down and finished it in one sitting, because every new episode was crazier than the last. the entertainment value is there, but it's kind of sick.
kim and porchay. didn't like it, definitely didn't love it. but, i didn't hate it. it felt forced, rushed, untouched, and messy. they meet up, we see them on screen together maybe five times, and porchay asks kim if he loves him? kim's whole reasoning for being there gets revealed by other members of the family regardless, so it was all pretty meaningless. no tension, no chemistry. and this could be due to acting issues, but there was no room for them in this messy plot. i don't know whether their relationship was supposed to go a specific way, but they were robbed of any kind of happy ending. felt like angst just to be angst, no actual meaning behind it. the only time i felt convinced was when kim was kicking some ass for porchay without him being aware of it.
vegas and pete. jesus christ. what the fuck was that? others who are into that kinky idea, be my guest. felt like some sick form of stockholm syndrome, where love doesn't even look like it would fit. but somehow, that's where we ended? vegas is shot and he still gets to live? it felt really sick, i tended to fast forward their scenes.. but they still had more than kimporchay had to me, and yet they probably got less screen time. if pete truly feels he belongs as vegas' pet then hey, i guess i'll let them have their moment.
kinnporsch... well. it was the main couple, they started out great, and i was definitely into the idea of them. porsche is a loveable guy, handsome, and seeing him interact with a rich mafia boss? yeah, i was down. but it just got worse and worse, especially considering all the horrible things kinn did to porsch, and yet.. "let's start over", "i forgave you a long time ago." it wasn't awful, and their scenes together outside were actually some of my favorite. we saw kinn smile, they seemed happy, with no real expectation of eachother. but i still felt underlying sickness, and their relationship truly never got to a solid, reputable point.
this story is definitely erotic, but it got to the point of being too much. the ending was pretty terrible, but it left room for more. if there was another season at some point, i think i would watch out of curiosity. it's rare to see a series get the "mafia boss" persona right, but they built kinn up really well, and he embodied a lot of what other series try to be.
for everything this series did right, there were so many left turns and wrongs. it's not the worst one i've seen, but the storyline gets pretty gross at some points and simply brushes over some really important themes. i don't know whether id recommend it per say, but keep these things in mind when watching it.

The Best!!!
This series' impact is beyond unexpected, the actors are well connected or suited to their roles or characters in the series. The Impact and chemistries between the couples and team chemistry are vital; this series is a masterpiece. The storyline and build-up of the scenes were all flowing like a river, it's not that type of typical series that has the same plot, and ending. The production really works hard in every detail of this series, I was totally amazed by the mindblowing action stunts and many more, every episode they create an incredible scene that will always be remembered by the audience.
Back from the series, I really like how they build the characters in each episode. I like when the love story of kinn and porche was shown not in a rushed or slow, they didn't forget in connecting it to the genre, not typical romantic scenes like in other series, the romantic scenes ranged from romantic to wild. Pete and Vegas story is not idealistic but they portrayed it very well, we can learn from them the toxic relationship. I love them by the way, Pete and Vegas roles were really meant for build and bible. hoping for them to have their own bl series.
When it comes to the overall rating in the series ill leave it with 9.5 because the story, especially the mystery in the past i just think that it could have been better, there's a little bit of confusion but overall still good.
Everything in the series is all good, ill recommend this to all of you, I love the characters, the actors, and the story.

Questionable plot, carried by the acting
Generally enjoyable, questionable plot that gets lost around the middle, side ship is better than the main, and the entire show is carried by the acting.PLOT
Starts off pretty strong with some minor plot holes that most people would be okay with brushing off. Around probably episode 6-7 is where the plot holes start getting glaringly obvious and hard to ignore.
Loses most tracks to the original plot (poor bartender becomes a bodyguard to pay for his brother's college and their house) pretty damn quick, too. By the end, it's turned into all but a murder mystery.
Everything seems to have very, very convenient ties back to Porsche, who was originally, again, just a poor bartender.
CHARACTERS
the good: Porche, Pete, VEGAS, Tankhun
Vegas is the biggest saving grace for this whole series.
the bad: KINN, most of the other bodyguards, Korn
ACTING
Bible, Build, and Apo carried this whole fucking series. Bible ate up all of the screen time and I found myself wondering when the next Vegas scene was coming, his acting was so good. and Build and Bible's chemistry was so good that they somehow made that ship work (below). Apo carried the entire KinnPorsche ship on his back, someone get this man a back massage.
SHIPS
KinnPorsche - To recap, we've got a noncon first sexual encounter as Porsche was drugged, a major power dynamic at play, and that power dynamic is consistently used as leverage? Plus a host of trust issues and miscomm. Gotcha.
Jokes aside, I was rooting for this pair. They were generally likeable, had fairly good chemistry, good sex scenes, and a good sprinkling of true compatible and cute moments. However, as I already said, Apo carried this whole fucking ship.
KimChay - This one is weird, they don't have chemistry, Kim treats Chay like shit and then is upset when Chay cuts him out. More screentime dedicated to this pair would have done them well as I feel like we missed some character and ship building.
VegasPete - By FAR the most chemistry of the three main. Their entire situation does give very big Stockholm-y vibes, which I don't love. HOWEVER, their first time did have explicit consent, and they have the best communication between any of the couples here. I wish we got more VegasPete. Also, Build and Bible did such a good job, especially in those really rough scenes. My one hope is that we get a season 2 or a spinoff dedicated to mainly VegasPete and a healthy relationship progression.
FIN
The end of the series was generally unsatisfying because of how it ties up the "loose ends" and the murder mystery it turned itself into. I wish it had taken that time it spent on Porsche's parent's murder into VegasPete, but beggars can't be choosers. I enjoyed watching it for mindless entertainment, but it's not top-tier cinema. The action scenes are nice, though.

The Torture Kills The Rewatch Value - unless you're into that
The Good: The acting is good. The sensuality is good for the main pair. The side couple of Chay and Kim is bittersweet but ultimately very nice. The main couple will stay together forever until the Earth explodes - I have no doubt about this, so the show has that going for it. Some shows struggle with chemistry, but Mile and Apo are all-but-married in real life, so it makes sense that their chemistry is on point. The music is beautiful. Jeff wrote some of it, so obviously those are good. But whomever took the opening song and turned it into beautiful instrumental pieces also needs a raise because it was gorgeous. The Bad: The drama of being in the mafia is hit or miss or how realistic it is. This mob spends, conservatively, 200% of its budget on their bodyguard training facility, and almost every bodyguard we meet is objectively a nice guy and not actually cut out for being in the mafia. Kinn is too soft to run an effective mafia. Of the brothers, Kim seems the most cut out for the role of leader and he would rather die. This mafia managed to spit out three heirs, they're all on the lgbtq spectrum, and none are as ruthless as you need to be to run a mafia. This family is gonna end the business with this new generation. Also the plot twist in the last ep or two is actually pretty fucked up and was soooo unnecessary. This show really has it out for the whole "kidnapped and held hostage" trope.
THE WORST: Speaking of! The main reason I rated it so low for rewatch and overall is Vegas and Pete. The side couple of Vegas and Pete is a huge point of debate in the fandom. Some people love it. I personally hate it and had to start skipping their scenes. There's bdsm and then there's torture and then there's Stockholm syndrome, which is what we have here. Pete does not love Vegas. He's mentally broken and beaten and abused on screen, and then convinced that Vegas cares about him, and he buys it. He can't function in normal society after his capture. And I wouldn't trust Vegas to pet my dog much less to own one. I trust nothing that comes out of his viper mouth. We've seen him lie and play the sad vulnerable part and then turn around and betray everyone in his life. He warped the mind of multiple people in the show, tries to then kill them, and even had whole speeches about how much he hated people or was going to murder them or whatever. And yet the show wants us to believe he's just misunderstood. He may be a victim of abuse but that doesn't change the fact that he is also an extreme abuser.

Kinnporche e as Cinco Fases do Luto
