My Story Is Long (2019)

Both follow the story of a carefree male character.
Both are funny and heartwarming slice-of-life dramas.

- Back and forth banters
- Similar style of dialogue & discussions
- Quirky, refreshing and heartwarming (while this one is centred around a love story, the latter is centred around a family)
- similar concepts of breaking out of the norm to live the way we want

Both drama have a freeter as their mc and focus on family relationships. Everyday problems, trying to find where you fit in, what road to take, dreams,societal expectations about life and work, what do you want from life are all themes that appear in both drama.

Ikuta Toma , family genre, comedy and Ikuta Toma.

Ikuta Toma plays a hard working househusband in Kakenai but plays an easy-lucky neet in Hanashi wa Nagai. ;)

These are similar slice of life dramas since the characters in these seemed to have "failed" in their passion and is planning to do other things since things are not working out. They differ in that in Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai, he has already quit but in Konto ga Hajimaru, they are just about to. I also like the relationships formed and made stronger in both of these dramas.

EDIT: Wow, just discovered that the screenwriter for both is the same person! I think he also improved since my rating for ONHWN is 9 but 10 for KGH.

Both portray a funny, quirky and warm family, with frequent chats/discussions that start from minimalistic, everyday details, to end up touching big philosophical questions and giving precious life lessons.

Both are feel-good family dramas
Both center on carefree men living their lives trying to find a meaning

Both "Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai" and "Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi" (of which there's also a sequel, by the way!) are dramas that shine for the überfunny, philosophical and theatrical family discussions over meals...^__^

Both are slice-of-life dramas that are light-hearted comedies. The main characters give off similar vibes even when one of them is serious about life and the other is happy-go-lucky.

The pacing is similar in that the dialogue is fast and the setting is usually at home. While the main characters have different motives for staying home, they live with what they have already.

Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai is kind of "maknae on top" unlike Momikeshite Fuyu (youngest sibling is at the bottom of the food chain). But nevertheless, the interaction of the family members with each other are pretty much has the same feeling.

Both dramas are about a guy who is trying to get his life back on track. One has left prison and the other has quit his job. The two main characters deal with past traumas and have family members to support them and stand by them.

Quartet is more intriguing and mysterious, but both have many conversational scenes that turn really comical and fun to watch, and have a mature theme about the meaning of adult life
