Itsuka no kimi e (2007)

Knowing all the tags like I do, I really expected this to be quite heavy and depressing. But actually I found it very cute. ALMOST fluffy-like. It only got heavy for about 10 minutes towards the end - but then resolved itself. It was a cute introvert/extrovert romance that really brought home a message of living for yourself. The smiles and laughter of the leads was truly contagious and the romance felt like it went at a natural pace for the characters in question.

However, there was a particularly annoying character that I'm still wondering what her role is. Because we see her a few times, and then she's never really brought up or addressed again. Perhaps I'm supposed to see it as someone who got the hint? But it really didnt feel like it had that finality to it. She didn't even really have much bearing on the plot. So why did I sit through her scenes to begin with?

I also think that one of the overarching topics could have been slightly more explicit during the reveal. It's the only element that made me feel like the drama might be rushing. There were also scenes related to this plot line that could have been more cleverly done, reducing it's watch value for me. But to those who may have less familiarity with it, the rewatch value may be notably higher.

This movie was amazing!! Every expectation I had was fulfilled. This movie is exactly what the description in-piles and it does not disappoint. For me, I have very high expectations when it comes to BL movies, but this movie unlike most I've seen isn't cringy and over exaggerated.

PLOT: I thought the plot was a creative idea and very well planned out and put together. This film has a bit of a twist that I wasn't expecting but I enjoyed it. I won't give anything away though. I'm just thankful that it didn't follow the cringy plot line where the a girl will do anything to split them up.

ACTING: The acting was done brilliantly, they did a good job showing emotions with just one look. The main actors were also really cute/hot.

MUSIC: I didn't even pay any attention to it, too engrossed with the story line.

REWATCH: I will definitely rewatch this soon.

OVERALL: Overall, I love this movie so much and it was worth staying up till 1-2 am to watch it. I highly recommend it.

Loving You

I watched this in very poor quality video on youtube so if you know of any other service providing a better quality please do tell! I'd love to watch it again because the story is fascinating.

It is a story of two photography students. Noboru is an immensely talented but introverted and barely talking to others. The other one, Hayase is impressed by Noboru's talent and intrigued by his personality and even though he tries to be friendly, he is met with an unbreakable wall every time he tries. One day Noboru saves Hayase from drowning. A few days later Hayase bumps into Noboru's twin brother Ryu, who is the complete opposite.

They do not make them like this anymore: the authors managed to tell a complete, complicated story of Noboru and his twin brother in a 1h movie. On the other hand, we know absolutely nothing about Hayas: I guess he is just an ordinary student coming from an ordinary family. But surrounded by a bunch of annoying friends starting with the noisy and nosy girl hitting hard on Hayase of which he is completely unaware.

The best scene and the most original was a photography shoot duel in a studio. Amazing idea! Fun and it tells a lot about the characters' relationship with each other and tou can actually see Noburu's walls cracking....

The movie is 15 years old and it shows in costumes and flip mobile phones (aaahhhh, good old times!?) but what is important
here is the story well told with an interesting twist at the end! I wish it were longer in order to elaborate more on the issues involved and how to deal with them. This is the problem here, just like in a lot of bls where they mention mental health issues quickly solved by falling in love.

Good movie

This was a good movie. I figured out what “was going on” fairly quickly, but that didn’t ruin the movie for me or anything. It was an interesting storyline, and unique. I love Japanese drama’s, and this one did not disappoint. It had very sweet moments, and moments of hoping what you thought was about to happen, wouldn’t actually happen. I enjoyed that it didn’t have any of the typical BL cliches, either. I still enjoy the cliche moments in other movies/series, but sometimes it hard not to roll your eyes when you see the same 5 or 6 cliches over and over again! The acting was fantastic, the actors did a great job. I would definitely recommend this movie!

A surprisingly good point that gave the story an unexpected new direction, funny, slightly sad and beautiful and played very convincingly. I could feel the emotions there, they even gradually accumulated. The film was not staged or replayed, and the girl Anikim does not try to upset the two in the second half. Satisfaction and overall above average. I would also like to give additional thanks to churli, who translated the film into Czech years ago exclusively for GT.


Překvapivě dobrá pointa, která dodala příběhu nečekaný nový směr, vtipný, mírně smutný i krásný a který byl zahrán velmi přesvědčivě. Emoce jsem tam cítil, dokonce se postupně hromadily. Snímek nebyl ucajdaný ani přehrávaný a dívka Anikim se nesnaží v druhé půli ty dva rozeštvat. Spokojenost a celkově vyšší nadprůměr. Chtěl bych také dodatečně poděkovat churli-mu, který film před lety přeložil exkluzivně pro GT do češtiny.

This is what all BL fans want. There is not over-sexual, raunchy scenes. The movie is more like a build up of emotions. The plot is definitely interesting but a little unrealistic (no worse than any other series or movie), and there may be some parts that the viewer is left curious about at the end, but it's overall super satisfying.
Noboru Fukami is pretty handsome, and the chemistry is without a doubt there (like every other Japanese BL), so it's awesome.
I never remember music, but I felt the emotion, so they must've used some good music, and I could watch it again and will as long as I remember this movie's existence.
Just WATCH IT!!!
