Ok, let's go now: Healer is the best drama I have watched in my two years of watching dramas. I am absolutely speechless, actually I have so much to say and I don't know where should I begin. I'm not biased or something like that because I started this drama out of pure curiosity, I didn't even know JCW and YJT existed(shame on me, stupid girl) and I wasn't fond of PMY's acting. However, the three of them did such a good job portraying their characters and overwhelmed me completely. JCW became my first favorite actor because his acting is simply brilliant, I've never seen a Korean actor before him who's able to portray emotions so perfectly, switching constantly (He played Healer and geek Park Bong Soo). His eyes are expressing every single one of his feelings, I just focus on his eyes and I can read his mind, just perfect. PMY also surprised me (like I said she didn't make impact on me with her acting before) but she was so amazing here, her character Chae Yong Shin suited her so well that it is unbelievable, her chemistry with JCW is something you can't see every day, they are the best couple I've seen in dramas, maybe even in shows generally. That love in Healer was portrayed so beautifully, so intense, so perfect!! Every their interaction made my heart skip a beat, they don't even have to touch, their looking at each other tells you everything! And when they touch I feel like going insane, I've never felt that way before watching some couple in a drama. but this couple is something else. Also, other actors like Do Ji Won who played CYS's mum Myung Hee, Park Sang Won as Kim Moon Shik etc did an awesome job too! Every single character in this drama was portrayed so good, even the ''bad ones'' like Kim Moon Shik and his secretary were interesting to watch because they are not the usual drama-like bad characters who ruin everything, they had their own characteristics which they are known for like every human being, so they were also intriguing. Everything in this drama was done so perfectly I can't even explain it here properly, even If I used so many words.. Plot done by a perfect writer Song Ji Na, acting, OST.. If you haven't seen this drama believe me and start right now, you won't regret it, you'll actually be thankful to God and me, and other people who recommend it. :)

Even though the last few episodes didn't come up to my expectations, i still have a need to write a review for this drama because its core still amazing to me and i think it's one of those dramas you need to watch. This drama's plot is pretty unique and new. Its start captivated me immediately and i couldn't wait for each week to watch the next episode. As the synopsis says, it's about a girl named Dan-Oh trying to find her own path/fate in life while struggling with the fact that she is a mere extra character in a comic controlled by its author. In the first few episodes we get to know the other characters important for the story and their roles in the comic. The drama portrayed each character really well and you can easily get immersed in their stories. There is also lots of parody in the drama when it comes to the story and characters made by the author because their roles are all cliche and remind us of older dramas. The comedy/parody is amazing here. The cast did a great job in portraying the characters and their lines so it was even easier to fall in love with all of them. The fact that there are stage and shadow in the story (which is explained in the beginning when Dan-Oh realizes she can't control her own actions and becomes aware of her being a comic character) is unique itself. We see those who are becoming aware of the existence of their stage and shadow personas. The stage refers to the time when they are their intended comic persona which is controlled by the author and the shadow represents the time when they are their real persona. The difference between both happens since the moment they become aware of themselves. They are struggling to deal with the lines author made for them in the stage while staying true to themselves in the shadow. It's unique because through the whole drama we have a switch from stage to shadow, we see two different personalities on most of them and we all start feeling sorry for the characters who are aware of themselves yet are trapped in the story-line made by the author. Although drama has lots of comedy, especially in the first episodes, when you realize the depth of it it's actually a sad story. The male lead, Haru is also an extra in that comic and even worse he has no lines because his existence for the comic isn't really important, he's just there to fulfill the number of students in the class. He didn't even have a name until Dan-Oh named him Haru. Just the fact that she found him and decided to change her fate together with him is already beautiful in their romance story. They kinda changed both of their fates since Haru learned that he can talk and he also became aware of himself and Dan-Oh's heart condition changed. We watch them struggling to change the stage and have a control of their lives and it was really exciting to watch. We later learn about the existence of another comic which had the same lines and it becomes even more exciting because we don't know why the author used the same characters and same lines for both comics and why is he torturing them again and again. I think this is where the drama writers got lost. Instead of focusing on that fantasy part and making it more clear, they kinda switched all of their focus on romance (and i wouldn't mind that if it was done properly) but they included love triangle in every single scene and started to get annoying. Baek Kyung as the 2nd male lead was interesting in the beginning but later they made him a character who's always angry, throwing tantrums and using 90% of the screen with his non-excusable behavior. It kinda ruined the mood with him always coming and emotionally abusing Dan-Oh or attacking Haru. It was unnecessary imo and i still don't know why they chose that direction in the last part of the drama. The redemption we got of Baek Kyung in the last ep was good but it could have been done much earlier. We could have seen his character growth and maybe see him joining Dan-Oh and Haru in changing their fates. We never got to know who is the author, why did he do all that to his characters and what was the point of them becoming aware and changing their fates when in the end they get switched to another comic and the cycle never stops. Even the ending of the drama seemed happy but it's actually sad if you think about it. After the drama ended i had so many questions and i wish they spent more time focusing on answering those questions then on a love triangle. But overall i really got emotionally connected to this drama on another level, i adore all of the characters, got to know the cast and even add them to my stan list. I followed the behind the scenes videos as much as i followed the drama itself. It's been years since i got this much immersed in a drama and its characters. I listened to the OST all the time and i still do, it's 1000/10 both instrumentals and songs. Danharu became one of my favorite couples ever, their chemistry was on another level, their behind the scenes were equally adorable. I can't stop watching the videos of those two and their scenes make me laugh and cry. I rarely cry this much as i cried on this drama. Honestly it will take time to get over this drama and even though i wished for some things to be different, overall it's a 9 from me and i still highly recommend it. Esta resenha foi útil para você?

In my review i will talk about the whole drama including the first season. But since this one was the latest i'm writing it under its title. To say it simply, Arthdal Chronicles is all about surviving and power with adds of fantasy and romance. No wonder they call it the Korean Game Of Thrones (although as a huge GOT fan i have to say it does have that vibe but it's definitely not plagiarism, it has its own unique story and charm.) It has been amazing since the very beginning. The story, the acting, the cinematography, music, everything is just on another level. The focus of the drama is not just one topic, it's so many things at once with so many well written characters. Characters are not evil or pure, they were all written very thoroughly, their actions are not limited to those characteristic to a villain or to those characteristic to a hero which we often see in dramas. They're all fighting their own battles, fighting for what they believe in but in a way characteristic to them and their personalities. In the beginning of the drama we get introduced to people called ''Saram'' and to those called ''Neanthals''. The difference between the two is that Neanthals are like superhumans, much stronger and prettier and have blue blood meanwhile Saram are just regular humans. Saram eventually killed off Neanthals in a brutal way, and for me that was such a good example of how people think of themselves as better than any other beings and how they usually treat everyone who's ''different'' and seems like a threat to them. This drama is pretty good in delivering messages and making you think. Anyway, that was a reason enough for me to hate Saram and choose the Neanthals' side. I hated on Saram's war hero Tagon for being such a cruel warrior and for being a person who is responsible for destroying Neanthals. However, as the show continued, Tagon and those Sarams i hated started growing on me. Of course, there are characters i still despise but some of those i really do love now. I started to understand Tagon's actions and his mindset. I started to understand he is just an ambitious person trying to survive in circumstances given to him. Same goes for Taealha, also one of the main characters who happens to be Tagon's girlfriend. In the beginning i disliked her as well, but then she also grew on me and eventually became one of my favorite characters. She has grown to be strong and powerful and that's what keeps you alive in Arthdal. The point of these examples was to show you what this drama does to you, you literally start to empathize with those who aren't really your ideal heroes and you actually enjoy them and eagerly wait for their next moves.
The 2nd season kept that same energy, Tagon's warriors brutally destroyed the Wahan Tribe who were living a quiet and peaceful life outside Arthdal and didn't cause anyone harm. They enslaved them and some ended up dead too. I hated Arthdal people once again for treating others ''different'' from them as trash and as tools useful for their ruling. But thanks to that brutal event we got some of the best and smartest characters coming to Arthdal and actually fullfilling their potentials, Tanya – the yet to become Wahan clan's Mother and Eunseom – an Igutu born of mother who came from Arthdal. It also led to getting to know Saya, Eunseom's twin, the Igutu kid Tagon saved while hunting down Neanthals. To explain, Igutu is a name for people who are a mix between Saram and Neanthal. Igutus are strongly despised in Arthdal, same as Neanthals were. For this reason Saya has been locked up and hidden all his life. This season focused a lot on Saya since we haven't seen him at all in the first season which was focused on Eunseom. Saya is personally my favorite character, not just because of his beauty lol but because his personality reflects the way he was growing up and that makes him so interesting to watch. It was also fun to watch how Tanya, the one who was so devastated and hopeless when her tribe got destroyed, is slowly craving for power too, although with pure ideals, it's still the result of her being put into that chaos. This drama is not only focusing on those games and making you feel excited all the time, but it's also portraying humans from a psychological perspective and how much their behaviour can be affected by the society they live in. I strongly recommend it, it's honestly one of the best dramas i've seen, it's a new and fresh type of show in the world of kdramas. 10/10 from me. The new season is coming in September so be sure to catch up till then!!!
