Everytime I start watching a Drama with a hope that it will be a perfect 10 and that it wouldn't drag on, but at this point I feel like it's some kind of virus that Dramas just have. D-Day was my first Drama which heavily focused on the Medical genre and oh boy it delivered some excellent moments. Story: The setting is interesting and original. The fact that Seul suffered an earthquake and is now isolated is thrilling in itself. The story is amazing most of the time, but from 15 episode or so even thought it wasn't terrible it felt like it was going in circles with some exceptions. D-Day isn't a Drama that will leave you shaking but it has just enough amount of thrill. There was one thing that kind of bothered me a little bit but most of you...ok lets be honest I was the only one who noticed this. The line between good and evil was very clear in this drama. Well there were some exceptions but most of the time it was. When disaster happens and everyone is fighting for themselves the line between good and bad should become blurry. It's not something that lessens the quality of D-Day but I would have liked it to be more thought provoking. Characters: Lee Hae Seong was of course an interesting main character and an eye candy to follow. Seeing him overcome these horrible times and grow was an excellent experience. To sum it up everyones characters developed nicely, especially Han Woo Jin. Now Jung Ddol Mi was just bland. Watching the Drama I didn't notice how much of a nothing she was, but now when I look back her character was built in the first two episodes and that was it. She wasn't annoying or anything, her personality was quite interesting but she was just left behind. To be honest I would only consider Lee Hae Seong as the main character. Sure there were other characters who got just as much screen time as him but the main focus was always on him and it is such a waste while at the same time a good thing. Now the romantic sub plot...There were a lot of cute moments between Lee Hae Seong and Jung Ddol Mi but it felt like the writers didn't know if they wanted the characters to have a romantic relationship. They gave us hope that they like each other very quickly and then just left us hanging for the major part of the drama. So sadly in the end the chemistry just faded and the romance felt forced. Other couples were fine. Music: Fit well but nothing special. Overall: D-Day wasn't perfect but it was still very entertaining. I would recommend it to people who like stories about disasters and the Medical genre, because you'll see a lot of surgeries. Btw Kim Young Kwang is just perfect ;)
