Brilliant crime thriller drama, surprisingly revolving around friendship
It has been ages since I've written a review, but this drama deserves it. I don't have as much to say about it as other commenters. Every episode, dare I say every scene left me ready for more. I watched it as it aired so I unfortunately had to wait for new episodes each week. Had I waited until they all came out, this could have been an easy binge.Within the 14 episodes, I felt I knew the characters. The writers did an amazing job at laying out the relationship dynamics. There are also many moving parts within the show, so I was impressed with how everything stayed coherent. The high school flashbacks also made me more interested in what was happening to the characters.
Both the first and last episodes blew me away in terms of building and closing out the overall story. I say this because usually it takes me a little bit to get interested in the plot, and in years past some finales left me wanting more. This drama is exactly what I wanted from the crime/thriller genre. Overall, I'm very happy with this one.
Shout out to AsianWiki for helping me remember all the various side characters.
The bottom line: If you're looking for a fresh, thrilling plot with dynamic characters, give this one a go!

PSA: this review doesn’t contain spoilers, but it would make more sense to someone who has finished this drama.
For starters, this drama is real, almost too real. It is a melodrama in every sense of the word. Throughout the show I was left wanting insight and conclusions that might have been too unrealistic. That’s not a big flaw on the shows part, but more with my expectations. Also, there were some characters I wanted to know more about and other characters I wanted to know less about. For instance, I wanted to know more about how Song Ki Beom (Ji An’s friend who played video games) met Ji An. I wanted to know what happened to that old man who was a father figure to Ji An. I get that I can come to conclusions about those things myself, but I thought it would have been a nice touch to see things like that added in to tie up loose ends. Personally, I wasn’t too interested in Choi Yoo Ra (the actress), she seemed a bit awkward and towards the end I was more interested in what would happen to other characters, like Jung Hee. So my overall problems with this drama are the screen time distribution of certain characters, and loose ends that could have made the end amazing if tied up nicely.
All of that aside, this was a decent drama. The acting was impressive all around. The soundtrack was magnificent. The song Rainbow (Band ver.) by Vincent Blue set the tone every time. For the most part the story was good, aside from me wanting more from it. The cinematography never disappointed me. For me, the characters are what drove this drama. It could have had any plot with these characters and I still would have watched it. Will I rewatch it? Probably not. Although, it was nice to watch once.
If you’re looking for a slow paced, realistic, melodrama, centering around a tight-knit community, then this show is for you.

This movie captures the loyalty of a dog, even when an owner doesn’t want that loyalty. The love that Hearty gave to his owners was immeasurable and touching. My rating can’t be higher, simply because of how saddening this was. There was more animal abuse than I wanted to see, which is what was so heartbreaking. I thought the younger actors and actresses did a great job with their performances. If you love dogs, or animals in general, be prepared to cry watching this. I could hardly look at my own dog the day after I watched this. Maybe I’m making this movie sound too sad, it just hit me at the wrong time. Good luck! Esta resenha foi útil para você?
This drama had some cookie-cutter cliches (Family secrets, love triangle, friends to lovers) and was unrealistic, but I loved it anyway! I really needed a lighthearted rom-com to brighten up my summer and this drama did just that. The general plot was decent, but the show seemed to be driven more by the characters personal stories, which makes it a pleasant watch. I almost felt like a kid watching this, wishing I could have similar experiences as the characters. It really made me feel the excitement I felt when I first started watching dramas in 2013. While this show isn't groundbreaking or my #1, it did remind me why I like rom-coms in the first place. Also, there were no annoying conglomerate schemes to ruin the vibe. Give it a chance! Big thanks to all the actors/actresses, set workers, etc. who brought us this drama!
