My road to dramas.
At the age of 10 I fell in love with anime and as I got older my horizons broadened because of it. I realized around 13 that I preferred watching anime in japanese with the english subtitles. Watching shows that way led me to immerse myself in japanese pop. The music industry of asian artists led me to start appreciating artists from Korea as well, even one from China.
A friend of mine that I made through our mutual love for Sailor Moon lol had started watching Japanese dramas and told me I had to watch them. He discovered Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and from there Cutie Honey and then he told me how other dramas were just as good even though not based on superheroes lol.
Sadly my laptop had reached it's life cycle and died on me so I was very cut off from all the great shows I wanted to watch and couldn't with my friend because I moved out of town.
Lots of years later I finally got a computer and discovered dramafever and viki. Though there were not much in terms of Japanese dramas, there were Korean ones and considering I have a huge appreciation for Korean pop I decided to give them a go... and now here I am. Lol
I definitely haven't watched much and therefore have A LOT to catch up on with the shows but they are so amazing. People think I'm crazy for watching them and that I should stick with American tv shows but I can't help it. It's been a rare american tv show that has literally brought me to tears and had me become so attached to the characters involved in such a way that these shows do.
*Personal Life
I am 29 years old, in a 6 year relationship with the love of my life, and have 2 children with my boyfriend. Tristan Noah is my 4 year old son, and my 3 month old daughter Kylie Rayne. I am currently a stay at home mom and my son is starting Kindergarten this September. When my kids sleep is when I get the opportunity to watch my dramas or take part in my other hobbies such as reading or gaming!!! Though that's not necessarily true as I read my books to my daughter and I sometimes play video games with my son. Lol
