The characters were nothing out of the ordinary and they made me angry most of the time which of course did not cause any good feelings towards the drama.
Chemistry between the main leads was okay but Kim So Hyun definitely had the most boring character I have ever encountered in my entire drama life. Her acting was fairly good but she had no significant character traits and I still do not understand why the crown prince fell so hard for her. The only reasons that come to my mind are their first encounter and his pity towards her.
Because of her boring character, I fell head over heels for the second female lead which usually never happens to me because they are annoying and tricky women. She was the exact opposite of that, forcing me to finish the drama just for her. She was simply an amazing character that fights for what she and her love want. Simply stunning in my opinion.
Despite her appearance and the pretty good acting and cinematography, I absolutely dislike this drama and would not recommend it to anyone. Thinking about how it actually won a few awards makes me laugh... I do not have an idea how they managed to pull that off when there were like 500 other dramas that deserved these prizes more, in my opinion. Of course, you can check this out for yourself and might end up loving it but from my point of view, you should not waste your time on this drama.
If you are looking for nice dramas, there are plenty others out there.

Really Good Cast, Disappointing Drama
Once in a while, I remember "Unicorn ni Notte" and I get goosebumps all over my body. How did they manage to mess up so badly? They assembled an incredible cast only to produce such a dull and uninspiring outcome!
The story lacks excitement and the characters are incredibly bland. The romance feels lifeless and, to be honest, puts me to sleep. The only redeeming factor is the character of Nishijima Hidetoshi, who showcased great chemistry with Nagano Mei. Their storyline was the highlight of the show, and the exploration of ageism was well-executed.
I am unsure of what they were attempting to achieve with Sugino Yosuke's character. Their romance felt clichéd and completely outdated for 2022. A case of: too stupid to get together. As for the supporting characters, they are hardly worth mentioning, except for Bando Ryota's role, which was... okay.
The company's struggle, which is the main focus, was not particularly engaging, to be honest. I found it difficult to empathize with the ambitions of the main characters. Moreover, their discussions about the company are so basic and simplistic that it's no wonder they are on the brink of bankruptcy, to be honest. (lmao)
Overall, unless you are an avid fan of Nishijima Hidetoshi, who, even when typecast, always delivers, "Unicorn ni Notte" is not worth your time.
PS: nobody come for me pls thx!

The cast is wonderful and the acting really well done. The music always gets back at me and I have to cry everytime I listen to "My Destiny".
The ending is...bitter sweet ;)

Watch Blue Period for Inspiration, but Don’t Expect Perfection
Blue Period tells the story of Yatora, a high school student excelling academically but feeling unfulfilled in life. When he unexpectedly discovers a passion for painting, he embarks on a journey to pursue art despite the challenges ahead.First off: as someone unfamiliar with the original Blue Period manga or anime, the story was entirely new to me, so I may view it differently than fans of the source material.
The Good: The soundtrack is fantastic and fits perfectly with the film's emotional tone. There were some creative choices I found intriguing, especially the use of CGI to visualize the main character's imagination—it added an extra layer of immersion. The storyline includes some inspiring, motivational moments that stick with you and the artwork featured throughout the film is absolutely beautiful.
The Not So Good: At times, the story felt a bit predictable, following a familiar path. It’s also clear that this is an adaptation, and unfortunately, some characters don’t get enough screentime for their motivations to come through clearly. As a result, their actions can feel underdeveloped, which makes it harder for the audience to connect with them. In my opinion, the directing and editing were occasionally uneven, leading to some awkward transitions. Lastly, while some actors stood out with strong performances, others didn’t quite hit the mark.
Overall, Blue Period delivers an inspiring coming-of-age story with stunning visuals and a solid message, though some narrative and pacing issues hold it back from fully reaching its potential.

The story starts with a very big focus on MonstaX and it honestly feels as if you're watching a very long ad for the band which is why I got annoyed in the beginning, waiting for the ACTUAL story to start. It starts at about episode 8, so you have to keep going. Then again it's not that bad because one episode is only about 20-30 minutes long.
The characters weren't fleshed out that well but it's okay because this is basically just a cute drama with some ANNOYING side characters.
Nevertheless, once the story actually started to go somewhere it was a VERY sweet drama that I recommend to people that like the theme of studentxteacher.

This drama had me excited all the time and when there were no new episodes I was so curious as what would happen next.
The story is well written in my opinion. There are three main arcs, I'd say. The past, the island and the present which was very enjoyable. I was already scared they would make the plane crash into a little flashback and build up the story from there but it wasn't like that and that was what made me really like the drama.
The acting and cast was perfect for this story. Baek Jin Hee was simply such a cutie and probably the best in this drama was our dear Choi Tae Joon. He really proved his acting skills in Missing 9, wow.
After the show ended I immediately searched for the instrumental OST because it really blew me away. For every scene they had a fitting piece that build up the emotions even more. Plus, the OST was very well done which is almost the most important thing for me after the story.
Even though so many people don't like this drama that much, I do. That's why you should maybe try to watch this for yourself as everyone has a different taste.
PS.: All my friends who watched this, enjoyed it a lot! So maybe it's a country thing... haha.

Downhill from the Start
What a feat... You've got a decent cast, quite good CGI, and costume design, along with a not-too-shabby (albeit basic) story setup. And then... this? What in the FRESH HELL happened in that writer's room???The trope of a powerful, noble god trapped in an ordinary girl's body might be overused, but if executed well, it can still offer a captivating narrative. I appreciated the demon princess angle; it's refreshing to see a female lead in that role (or at least I haven't watched any dramas with that storyline yet). Moreover, the bond between her and her devoted brother had me intrigued. But the romance??? Oh boy, it felt like someone snipped out every scene that could've built their relationship naturally. I don't even want to continue diving deeper into this mess.
Ju Jingyi often receives criticism for her dramas and costumes. However, I genuinely wonder how much of that is actually her doing or decision. Personally, I believe she's a talented actress. Yet, the scripts she's been handed in recent years leave much to be desired (...to put it nicely). If I were her, maybe I'd just enjoy wearing those cute outfits as a silver lining in these roles. That's my theory at least lol and she DOES look stunning in them. Good for her.

1. Bong Soon continuesly beats people up in the show resulting in hospitalizing them for a very long time. I get that it's supposed to be a show and 'funny' but no. The show tries to ridicule violence and to justify it. Not okay.
2. Her mother has the upper hand in the family and beats up her dad all the time when he doesn't agree. Does that seem like a healthy relationship? No, but sorry. I couldn't even smile at these scenes. It's supposed to be funny because the 'weak' mother -- a woman -- beats up her husband, ohohoho... Not hilarious.
Apart from that it is a good show, I guess but nothing TOO special even if they were somehow trying to make it into something big I feel.

I really enjoyed it but I felt like the story was dragged a little too much in my opinion. Of course the whole plot and story with its twist was awesome but I think that they often put too many unneeded fillers.
The music is what made this drama especially wonderful, it added a lot to the emotions. The cast was also perfect. Go Kyung Pyo was a wise choice for this character.
I would give this drama a try and then decide wheter to watch it or not. If you are a big fan of romance then I have to disappoint you a little bit. There's no denying that this is a story about love but it's not this kind of happy-dabby dramas.
Overall, I give this 7/10 points.

Overall... it's just okay.
Unfortunately, it was a bit on the mediocre side, if not leaning towards bad. The movie had the potential to be an engaging murder mystery but it messed up by revealing everything too soon and by being predictable imho. There were some visually appealing shots (the pool scene!!!) but I don't think that makes up for the rest of this mess.Oryo was great as always and such a dreamboat... However, the chemistry between him and Miyazaki Aoi was seriously lacking. The supporting characters were rather uninteresting, except for the role portrayed by Yoshida Yoh, who stood out as magnificent and fabulous whenever she appeared on screen. Her charisma is simply unmatched.
Overall... it's just okay.
