A few things about me:

I grew up watching Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong dramas, started around 2002, so it has been more than 20 years. I watched a lot of old dramas and movies produced in 2000s and before that during my childhood days.

I started watching Japanese films a little bit later than with the other films, maybe around 2015, when I watched the live action movie of my favorite anime Anohana. Japanese films are like gems to me. It's less popular in my country, so it's much harder to find the ones with subtitles, or which platforms to watch them.

I have a habit of rewatching my old favorite films a lot of times, instead of finding new ones to watch. I've rewatched a lot of the films from my list, the ones rated from 9 to 10, sometimes 8-8.5. There are dramas I've watched more than 10 times. I put a lot of films into my plan to watch list but often end up rewatching my old favorite ones instead.

I rarely drop any drama or movie, and never skip while watching it. I always watch the whole thing. If I put a drama or movie into my on-hold list, it usually means that I suddenly couldn’t find where to watch it.

I watch all kinds of dramas and movies, from Romance, Comedy, Fantasy, Life to Mystery, Thriller, Action, etc. Recently my favorite genres are slice of life and slow-paced dramas and movies, but it also depends on my mood. I watch whatever I feel like.

I used to enjoy watching dramas when it was airing during my teenage years, but nowadays I prefer binge-watching. I don’t like to wait for the whole week for one or two episodes. I always get too excited!

I mostly rate my childhood dramas and movies 9-10, as they bring me a sense of nostalgia. You can see that a lot of old dramas and movies in my watchlist are rated very high for this reason. Athough I might not like a film as much as I used to do when I rewatch it later, I usually keep my initial rating.

My rating (my childhood films are exceptions as I mostly rate them high): I tend to rate a film mostly based on my mood and I think I'm quite generous. I give a lot of 10, 9.5 and 9.

  • 9-10: If a film gives me a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, I will easily give 10 or 9.5, or 9, even though there might be a few things I don't quite like about it. At this rate, the film is rewatchable.
  • 8-8.5: It's a good film. I enjoy it. I can also rewatch it.
  • 7-7.5: Overall it’s good. There are great moments that I enjoy, but there’s nothing special.
  • 6-6.5: I'm a little bit disappointed, but overall it's okay.
  • 5-5.5: It's watchable, but not very enjoyable.
  • 4-4.5: I don't enjoy it, although there are very few things or moments that I like. Not very worth watching.
  • 0-3.5: Not worth watching at all.

Besides watching films, I love music, books, mangas, and animes, and enjoy doing some arts and crafts. Although I'm a very introverted person and a homebody, I also love the nature, and enjoy outdoor activities in the nature, such as cycling, walking, and trekking. I prefer doing them alone rather than with other people. I love solo traveling.

I’m quite obsessed with cats, and love witchy and fantasy fairy vibes.
