Both stories are set in the great Joseon dynasty (1392-1897) which focuses heavily on moral virtues of people. Both stories also tell story about matchmaking business – how it began, the lovestories, the struggles of the business and also the comedy relief of it. Both stories also have romantic sideline story which does add to the ‘’matchmaking magic’’.
Even though both movies were produced by different countries, they share the same element - haunted train stations. Both have supernatural element, but Kisaragi deals more with sci-fi rather than horror, which is Ghost Station. Overall, if you enjoy haunted train station stories, than you will enjoy both movies. They are similiar even with the quality of production.
