Such a great concept for a Korean dating show

I have watched Single's Inferno all 3 seasons, one season of Change Days, Love After Divorce and Nineteen To Twenty and this was the best Korean reality show that I have seen. I loved the way the hosts were so expressive and felt free to say and do anything as they watched. Kim Hee Chul was my favorite! He was so involved with the show that he was standing up, screaming and even hiding in some scenes. I felt like the hosts were experiencing exactly what I was, when I was stressed or happy for my favorites. Other than that I loved how the show focused on certain prejudices that people have and allowed the contestants to explore them and recognize them as they interacted with one another.

Only thing was that coming from a country more influenced by the west I felt like some of their secrets were not really serious enough to be on the show, but I also got to understand that in Korea people may view them more negatively than they would here. Also I felt like the show approached topics that were not exactly PG 13 but shied away from showing us the contestants in their more intimate moments. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't want to see any R- Rated scenes but some scenes between certain couples were just skipped as if nothing ever happened. And you're left wondering what they were doing during the rest of their dates. One 2 contestants on the show had a whole date that was not filmed! Its like the editors cherry picked out scenes from certain couples that they thought would be interesting and that is all they included. And yet I personally believe that the whole point of a dating reality show is to show even the dates where the couples obviously won't end up together.

Other than all that a great show! Can't wait for season 2! The whole concept of the show is a great one and you only really realize the change it brings to the contestants at the very end.

I was invested

I have watched my fair share of xianxia and this is the best one I've seen. Usually, when a show has about 40 episodes or more it takes a few episodes for the story to fully hook me. But Lost You Forever had the perfect first episode which both evoked emotion and made you want to watch more. The way they introduced Xiaoyao and Cang Xuan was heartbreaking but it made me want to know more about them. Also, the fact that there were 3 main potential interests made things so much more interesting. It was not the situation where I liked one but hated the other, but rather you get to appreciate the different characteristics they all possess (But I was definitely team Tushan Jing the whole time). Sometimes in xianxia the FLs tend to be kind of ditzy and naive but Xiaoyao was the complete opposite and I loved it! She was a bit hard headed at times but she carried this show!

I didn't realize how much I loved this show until I finished it. The music just kept coming to mind so muchh so that i searched it on youtube. The specific scenes were also so brilliant and had to be watched again! Like when Dongfang Qing Cang takes the spikes so that his people will let him marry orchid. I initially did not think that I was going to finish the series because I thought the some of the acting was not great. But since I started the show because of Dylan Wang I hung on and I am glad I did because I ended up enjoying it.

When I think of this show I just smile

I loved this show! The way they wrote and brought the characters to life was inspired. I mean Dao Ming Sì's character was a work of art (hats off to Dylan Wang for the performance). He worked perfectly pit against the character of Huaze Lei who was the complete opposite of him. The other two members of the friendship group could have had more distinct personalities as well but they all worked together. The chemistry between all the actors was palpable. The show is definitely way longer than it ought to be so there are a few filler stories in it. They try to give background and side stories to most of the central cast. There is also a lot of making up and breaking up so be prepared. I felt every emotion when watching this show. I won't lie the ending was weird but it didn't change how I felt about the show as a whole! Definitely worth the watch!
