"My Lovely Boxer" Lee Sang Yeob, Proving His Acting Spectrum with Heartfelt Performance!

In the 7th and 8th episodes of the KBS 2TV Monday-Tuesday drama My Lovely Boxer, which aired on September 11th and 12th, the narrative of Kim Tae Young (played by Lee Sang Yeob) unfolded as he mourned the sudden death of Kim Hee Won (played by Choi Jae Woong).

In these episodes, Tae Young diligently cared for Hee Won's family to fill the void left by his unexpected death. He prepared to meet Hee Won, who was about to have his first match but froze in his tracks upon receiving the sudden news of Hee Won's death.

Tae Young was overwhelmed by guilt for being unable to protect Hee Won and the sorrow of losing a presence akin to his purity.

Facing a ringing phone that only signaled Hee Won's death, Tae Young cried as if he had returned to his high school days, shouting, "Hyung, please answer the phone."

Upon hearing the news that Hee Won's remains had arrived in Korea, Tae Young immediately headed to the funeral home. There, he learned from Soo Yeon (played by Ha Seung Ri) that Hee Won had been struggling with match-fixing until his death.

With a hopeless expression, Tae Young turned away.

Unable to bid farewell to Hee Won, Tae Young was trapped in deep sorrow, living daily as if he were a recluse. His soul seemed to have left him, vacantly staring into space. At times, he would embrace Soo Yeon, shedding tears, while other times, he would reminisce about his memories with Hee Won, venting his grief.

Determined to uncover all the truths about Hee Won's death, Tae Young embarked on a path to seek justice. Starting with requests for a correction in reporting, he recorded Director Yang's statements regarding Hee Won's innocence and the whereabouts of match-fixing mastermind Oh Bok. His actions infused the story with intense suspense.

He even declared his intention to quit being Kwon Sook's agent, heightening curiosity about his future endeavors.

Meanwhile, My Lovely Boxer airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:45 PM KST.
