Lee Min Ho and Kim Min Ha's Apple TV+ original series Pachinko Season 2 is nearing its release.

Pachinko tells the story of a Korean immigrant family across four generations, spanning from the Japanese colonial period to the 1980s. It follows their struggle to survive. Season 2 portrays the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family who had to leave their homeland in an era of oppression.

Executive Producer Su Hu conveyed, "We had to create everything from scratch and built about 60 sets," adding "We considered everything from rooflines to ceramics placed on tables," highlighting the efforts of the production team to perfectly recreate the landscapes of Korea and Japan in 1945.

Additionally, Ruth Ammon, who was in charge of production design, commented, "We leveled all the rice fields and sowed the seeds," in an effort to vividly recreate rice paddies from the 1940s. She added, "The Pachinko parlor set symbolizes a time of slight optimism and joy after the cruelty of war. We spent five hours taking pictures of every single pachinko machine in a pachinko museum in Japan," sharing the behind-the-scenes story of how the team was able to perfectly recreate the pachinko machines from the 1940s.

Pachinko Season 2 consists of eight episodes and will premiere on August 23, with one episode released each week on Apple TV+ till October 11, exclusively on Apple TV+.
