The story of Tang Palace Mystery begins on what should have been a joyous Lantern Festival night. In the bustling city of Chang'an, as people celebrated, a shocking incident shattered the joy of the evening — Princess Ning Yuan was found mysteriously dead. The Tang Palace was instantly engulfed in darkness, leaving the dignitaries in shock and the court in a state of panic. The task of unraveling this mystery falls to Li Pei Yi (Bai Lu), the chief guard of the Inner Court Bureau. Braving numerous dangers, she embarks on this perilous journey unhesitatingly, along with her partner in this investigation Xiao Huai Jin from the Astronomy Bureau.
After intense preparations, Tang Palace Mystery has officially begun filming recently. The behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot show Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue, in their fourth collaboration, dressed in traditional Tang Dynasty-style attire.
Bai Lu is seen wearing a black uniform similar to that of a guard, paired with a black fur cape. She wears a different hairstyle from that of the typical Tang court style, featuring a sleek high ponytail that adds a bold, fierce and dynamic touch.
Wang Xing Yue appears in a blue robe paired with a matching cape, complemented by traditional hair accessories. His look exudes confidence and charm, befitting the role of an official working at the Imperial Astronomy Bureau.
Tang Palace Mystery is reportedly a large-scale production and promises to immerse viewers with its intricate plot, filled with suspense and twists. And with Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue as leads, viewers can rest assured when it comes to character portrayals.
