Lee Jung Jae and Im Ji Yeon will reportedly star in one K-drama.
On November 20, media outlets reported that Lee Jung Jae will return to romantic comedy K-dramas alongside Im Ji Yeon. The two received the offer to star in Mean Love.
The upcoming K-drama will be the joint work of director Kim Ga Ram (Good Partner, Nevertheless, and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and writer Jung Yeo Rang (Doctor Cha). The K-drama will be the next series to be produced by Studio & New.
Artist Company, the agency that is handling Lee Jung Jae and Im Ji Yeon responded to the casting reports. According to them, their artists are currently reviewing the K-drama after receiving the offer. Nothing has been decided yet.
Mean Love will tell the romance between an actor who usually portrays detective roles but is eager to star in a romance genre, and a former reporter for politics and now working as an entertainment journalist.
There is no official confirmation yet on the premiere date of the upcoming rom-com K-drama.
If Lee Jung Jae decides to join Mean Love, this will be his grand comeback to the romantic comedy genre.
