This list contains spoilers for some dramas such as LOVE O2O, Temperature of Love, Lovers in Bloom,Delicious Destiny and Oh My Venus!

1. When the female doesn't kiss the male back!

Maybe its because I'm from the US where kissing on TV is pretty explicit but it just annoys me when the male is kissing the female and they're just standing there like a statue! One example that had me yelling at the screen of my iPad is from the Chinese Drama LOVE O2O which just so happens to be one of my favourite dramas! Xiao Nai kisses Wei Wei and he's really into it but she's just not responding. (I really was yelling at her to kiss him back because that man is fine!)

2. When the male/female lead leaves the other
for month/s or year/s!

This happens a lot in dramas and while I can look past it, in the long run, it still bothers me. I just don't understand what this is about.  It's usually because they think they're protecting their lover or because they think they aren't worthy enough or because they're sick and don't want to become a burden. This trope just makes me question the character's bravery and stupidity. In Korean drama Oh My Venus! our lead So Ji Sub leaves our heroine because he is injured and doesn't want her to suffer for him! (I thought it was stupid because being in a relationship means going through things like that together!) To be honest this scene was amazingly acted and broke my heart even while hating SJS for doing this!

3. When family members oppose a relationship because
he/she is divorced or has kids!

From the frequency of this trope in Asian dramas, I assume that its something that actually happens in Asian culture. Since I am not Asian I don't know but I do know this trope is one that bothers me the most. I just don't understand what's wrong with women/men who are divorced or have children. I guess because it's something normal in my world it just seems like a ridiculous reason to oppose a relationship! This trope happens quite a lot but in the Korean Drama LOVERS IN BLOOM it just really really bothered me! Like it made me hate a lot of characters!

4. Second leads who just can't accept that
the male/female leads don't love them!

This trope is present in like 98% of Asian dramas but it only really bothers me when they've tried to gain the leads love multiple times and have been explicitly told by the leads they aren't interested. I'm all for fighting for what you want but not when it means inserting yourself into other people's relationship. If the leads are single, then,  you know what, go for it but if they're with someone already that means they don't love you and you need to step back and get over it. A prime example is (**minor spoiler) Korean drama TEMPERATURE OF LOVE!

5. Getting married because of a company merger
or out of responsibility!

I hate it when the leads just HAVE to get married to the second lead because they feel responsible for an injury, emotional distress or because their company needs some money. Emotional blackmail just frustrates me especially when the lead character falls for it. Getting married because you "owe" them is stupid! Chinese drama DELICIOUS DESTINY is a prime example!

6. When everyone forgives and forgets!

I'm all for forgiving those who did you wrong but forgiveness should not mean forgetting! If this person tried to a) kill you or your loved ones; b) actually killed someone; c) tried to hurt you or your loved one; d) emotionally blackmailed or abused you or your loved one or did any other transgression against you or your loved ones. YOU DON"T JUST LET THEM BACK IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE THEY SAID SORRY OR REGRETTED DOING IT! As you can see this is the trope that angers me the most in Asian dramas! I have no issues with forgiveness but forgetting what that person did and letting them back into your life as if nothing had happened is wrong and stupid! I can mention hundreds of dramas that features this trope but DELICIOUS DESTINY previously mentioned is a prime example!  Not every villain gets off but most of them do!

BONUS:

When they put the engagement/wedding ring on the wrong finger!

Okay, so this used to bother me a lot and still kinda does but after learning that in other countries the designated "ring finger" is different I've kinda let this one go.
