Currently Watching: Love 'til the end of Summer (aka Rush to the Dead Summer)
This drama softly catches the essence and feeling of summer right from the opening credits. While it’s not the opening video to the episode, you can see the beautiful MV for the opening theme here.

With an attractive young cast of characters, we follow Li Xia (played by Zheng Shuang) and the story of her journey to a new school and that of the students in her close proximity, including stoic and cold-at-first Fu Xiao Si played by Chen Cheney.
While the formula might be familiar and may feel like scenarios you’ve seen before, for many, a story like this is light, easy watching, since you can slightly predict the route of the characters. And there is that touch of melodramatics feathered throughout as this cast of characters faces the challenges of school and rising emotions with each other.
These friends, from different levels of status and social class, form bonds and attractions to each other that test them, which brings us to the emotional montage of ending credits. Stir your heart for the heartbreak and romance to come in this drama with the slight visual spoilers set to the music.

Li Xia’s charming and kind personality soon catches the interest of Fu Xiao who at first is abrupt and disinterested. Yet when he notices his best friend Lu Zhi Ang played by Bai Jing Ting expressing interest, he realises that he too likes Li Xia but working up a confession is hard.
Fu Xiao instantly is annoyed to see them hanging out alone together.
Fu Xiao tries to maintain reasons and situations to stay close to her, such as art practice and later asking for her phone home number. When she wonders why, he smoothly says it's to discuss homework and studying.
Instead, he subtly tries with kind and thoughtful gestures and occasionally is confused that she only receives his manners as friendly, and not romantic.
But you can sense Li Xia’s growing interest and the beginning of the attraction she has for him. However, love triangles, rivals and school shenanigans await in this 46-episode drama.
I am still trying to track down the time period for this drama. It appears to be the late 90s, as none of the students have cell phones and passing notes is how they communicate in class.
Further in, when they do go cell phone shopping for the first time the phone models appear to be the 90s or early 2000 models.
Currently, there are 2 episodes released a day, Tuesday to Saturday! So viewers can enjoy the story quickly without having to wait a week to see what happens next!
