Top 5 Bromance Couples

Please tell me, is there anyone out there who can resist the temptation of a bromance? I bet no one... :P
When some fangirls (like me) can’t stand to see our lovely actor coupled with an actress we don’t like or if their relationship feels bland, like being too friendly or boring, I want to see him coupled with another guy (don’t worry, NOT that kind of couple). We even crave it. Sometimes their story is more interesting, and the development is more touching. We laugh and cry with them throughout the story.

Shortest story of all but it’s a great one. Byung Hee is a unique, weird, and charismatic band leader and drift away by his personality is Kwon Ji Hyuk. Maybe because they have similar family problems they understand each other and are so close. I don’t have much to say about this couple because their time together is so short and I want more. All I can say is that it’s nice to see them together and caring for each other even if it’s just for a really short time.

They are the hamburger couple. If Ji Hyuk is the bread then Byung Hee is the meat. You can’t tear them apart right? And the rest of the members are veggie, sauce, fried potatoes and cola. There you have it, a hamburger package. :P



Oops, maybe in this case, it is that kind of couple. At least for one of them. In this drama I really feel impressed and pity for Kang Joon Hee. Having unrequited love is already painful; but being by Yoon Jae’s side, cheering him up, giving him advice, and even being a bridge for Yoon Jae and Shi Won’s love is definitely not an easy job to do. While Yoon Jae never realizes Joon Hee’s feelings all those years, Joon Hee was there being the best friend he could be and never wanting anything in return because he knows that his love will never come true. And yet Yoon Jae tried to be Joon Hee’s best friend too by letting him go when he wanted to go after he realize Joon Hee’s feelings. I guess this is the best ending for them. At least they won’t lose each other’s best friend.

Why do I call them willow tree and the wanderer? Let’s say Yoon Jae is a wanderer of love; he tried so many ways to win Shi Won’s heart, but not all of them succeeded. There are times Yoon Jae feels desperate and can’t go on. That is where our willow tree will do his job; give him his body to lean on, give him his shady shadows to make him feel safe, and he will always be there being by Yoon Jae’s side through hard and happy times.


The funniest couple of all. What more can I say? They even won the best couple award at KBS Drama Awards. At first, I didn't know if I would like or hate Goo Yong Ha’s role when he’s always by Ha In Soo’s side. But as the story goes on we can see which side he’s on. Let me tell you that his hobby is teasing Jae Shin and even though Jae shin doesn’t really like it, he never pushes Yong Ha away. Why? Because Yong Ha is a really good friend. He helped Jae Shin when he needed help the most and Yong Ha understood him more than anyone in the world.

Goo Yong Ha is a cat that loves to play with its yarn. The more he plays with it, the more he gets entangled and can’t free himself of it.


Our most pitiful bromance couple, tragic even. Two of them were very different from the very first place, but despite those differences their friendship grew stronger and bolder. At first, Lee Kang To is someone you want to kick off. He was very emotional, greedy, and he had the urge to prove himself. He will get rid of anything that stands in his way. While Sunji is someone so adorable that wouldn't hurt even an ant. But blood is thicker than water. Their family issues made them enemies. And the love of their life, just like pouring oil onto the fire.

It’s really frustrating to see them hurt each other when they had history. In some episodes they were laughing, crying, and protecting each other. And the next ep they deceive, suspect, and even try to kill each other. Their bond becomes thinner and thinner and almost disappears. Yet, they can’t hate each other to the fullest. It's proven by Kang To who thanks Shunji by capturing him so it’s not necessary for him to kill his ex-best friend. Their relationship ended great for me as they cannot go back to how they were after all those fights so it’s best to see it end the way it is. But still, too sad... T.T

They are the magnet-pole couple. Sometimes Kang To is south-pole who can pull the north-pole Shunji in and sometimes both of them just being in the same side so they repel each other.


My most favorite bromance couple is Go Nam Soon and Park Heung Soo. Their story was sad, but they could resolve all their problems and end up well. Go Nam Soon is a second year at high school; he is a lonely kid, hates troubles, is loyal, and is straight with his feelings. He cannot hide them; it will show in his face and his actions clearly. He had a best friend named Park Heung Soo that he’d hurt, and because of his overflowing guilt, he couldn't face him and drop school. But they meet again when Heung Soo must transfer to his school. This is where the story began. Nam Soon tried to be good to Heung Soo, but anything he does leads to a lot of misunderstandings, driving Heung Soo to the corner and almost getting expelled so their relationship worsens. But with the teacher’s help and the big heart of caring Heung Soo they could reconcile and be best friends again.

When I see them I can’t help but think about a mother chicken and its baby. The lonely and sometimes childish Nam Soon always needs protection of caring Heung Soo. He has nobody and he’s being dependent on him. So when Nam Soon made a mistake, he couldn't even say sorry. He was too scared to face Heung Soo and the only choice he had was to run away. While the mature Heung Soo, even if he felt betrayed, always cared and worried about his little baby Nam Soon. Sweet Couple.
