Worth the watch
Even though I'm late in reviewing it doesn't matter one of the few shows that made me want to review it whether good or bad. Luckily it falls in the great category.I just saw that this was based on a webtoon series and most of the character's stories were not included in the main story, but this doesn't take away the fact that this show got me waiting for the episodes every week. Just shows how good it was(for me).
Cast
Where do I even begin hyo seop as Kang Tae moo was just amazing. I've enjoyed watching him in dr.romantic 2, abyss even though the show wasn't all that and also lovers in the red sky he steps up everytime. But, my best one is this, he was funny, entertaining and just had the right timing to exact different emotions. Especially the parts where he was afraid of the rain was really nice not too much and not less of what was needed for the scenes. His chemistry with shin ha RI was unexpected but that's the beauty of it. I've never seen any show of her's but this one just made me want to watch her previous works and upcoming ones hoping she delivers every time.
Shin Ha ri was funny without even trying from the first episode to the last she executed that role flawlessly. I know I'm overpraising but it's been awhile since I enjoyed watching a character the last one was SEO ye ji in its okay not to be okay and shin hye sun in Mr. Queen there are others but they are the ones I remember off the bat at the moment.
Speaking of Mr. Queen seol in ah who played hwa Jin in it executed her role as young SEO in this beautifully, her relationship with her weird family. Falling in love with sung hoon being there for shin ha RI. It was great to watch.
Sung hoon. Was a surprise for me as his previous works have never left me with an impression but in this one he was able to match up with the rest of the characters well.
The other characters were from shin hari's team at work, I won't lie but without them even with the main characters being at their best this show wouldn't have been that great loved loved their acting. They didn't have as many parts but the parts they has worth remembering and that's no easy feat for supporting characters.
Now my favourite of the characters topping even the mains was the sleeper character, Kang doo, Kang Tae moo's grandfather. Throughout the show I couldn't wait for his scenes no matter how small that's how amazing he was. He could bring you into his world without even trying which speaks a lot as a seasoned veteran himself. Loved loved him as a character.
Shin ha ri's family was okay the little time they got to be seen and that was great.
The OST well it's melomance, every song they release is memorable. But I preferred a butterfly flew away in you are my spring. But overall the ost wasn't so bad.
The pacing was great, storyline great characters great ost wow!
I tried looking for things I don't enjoy but I couldn't the only thing is maybe they could have added just a few episodes maybe two at least cause I didnt want it to end so soon. But, maybe that's the beauty not adding unnecessary scenes if it's not going to develop the story in the show.
The other one was sung hoon I don't know but I didn't enjoy his character as much. But I hope his upcoming projects will make him a memorable character.
Bingeability yes! Rewatch value! Yes everything yes!
I'm biased in that I loved this show too much..

A Perfect blend of Romance and Comedy
Even though there was nothing new in the story and screenplay still it make you feel good till the end. nay be the reason for this was purely the performance of the cast and an engaging screenplay without any dragging. I think it's been long time since i watched a drama with zero complications. If you love rom com's then welcome to the world Business Proposal. The casting is brilliant, Our four main leads and their super cute performance was the best thing of this drama. Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Se Jeong, Kim Min Gue and Seol In Ah i want to just mention these four people, every single time when the two couples on the screen they brings magic with their super cute acting. Especially Kim Se Jeong, She was just amazing with her expressions.
Definitely a perfect rom com because both comedy and romance was perfectly balanced within the 12 Episodes. There were so many situations which make you laugh. This drama is full of happiness so just start watching without thinking twice because a drama like this was really missing these days.

Chemistry was disappointing! Wasn't a good pay off
Besides the wonky pacing of the 2nd lead couple (from socially distancing from each other and behaving like enemies, to full on kissing, and more) these two were the only real couples in the entire show. The chemistry between the 2 main leads just wasn't that good, and I'm not gonna sit here and try to tell myself otherwise. It wasn't BAD, and I want to stress that, their chemistry isn't unwatchable. But from the standard the original webtoon set, it had better be damn good. And it was just.....ok.
For a show like the business proposal, good chemistry and tension is what's gonna CARRY it, because the storyline alone is mediocre and just REGULAR, if not annoying the truther along it went. Especially with the way, despite only being 12 episodes, they dragged it out FOR AS LONG as they could, and the leads only get together 2 episodes before the end of the series.
For such a delayed pay off, when we finally get there it better be damn good, right?
Considering the down right sizzling scenes that happened in the original webtoon, even with censorship, the leads better have our hearts beating like crazy just looking at each other, right?
Well no, the pay off was just one-note, really.
The chemistry leading up to this already wasn't enough to sustain or even warrant such a long build up. Ha Ri looks deeply uncomfortable half the time, and when she does crack and give in to her attraction to Tae Mu, it still felt lacking and not as passionate or sincere as you would have expected it to be. And as a result the pay off landed flat on its face.
I feel like maybe i'll go back and watch the last 2 episodes—maybe they'll cram all the pay off we were supposed to get into the last 2 hrs of the show, but if the chemistry was already lacking, any romantic scenes that follow suit will just make me uncomfortable.
I'll stress this—when the chemistry is real, and the acting is off the charts—I WONT EVEN REALIZE THEY'RE ACTING. I'm not supposed to see the wires moving around in their heads, or pause or have that faint inkling like the actress looks really uncomfortable here, or the leads look kinda stiff, or this camera shot is lingering for a little bit too long now....I'm supposed to feel like I'm eavesdropping on a very private moment between 2 characters that are genuinely in love, and have sizzling chemistry, and want to turn off the show to give them some privacy 👀
like i did with the 2nd lead couple.
anyways, tl;dr.:
The Office Blind Date is a webtoon that had pretty good chemistry between the two main leads, but the live action made it barely passable, clunky, and a little uncomfortable at times.
The leads definitely tried their best—but I'm not keen on continuing with a show where I feel uncomfortable watching two supposed lovers.....behave like lovers.
Overall, this show had a good story, and everything else was just....ok.

A RIDE LIKE NO OTHER
Expressing my love for this rare Masterpiece.I've never written a review before. bla bla bla ... ..... , You already know this is a serious business proposal.
kdrama proposal:
1. Some serious business is about to start
2. Perfect casting
3. No dragging
4. No dragging
5. Refined clichés (a lot of)
6. Intensity
7. remarkable comedy
8. Serious plot holes when necessary
9. No supporting osts to make it better.
10. Original kdrama
11. Nostalgic
12. No more
Kdrama proposal? More like A business proposal to me.
It touches every possible k-clichés, And it does it with a touch of really good comedy, an unbeatable pace and a less awkward presentation. As It took me back to 2015 through 2018, It reminded me of the "real" kdramas which made me an addict I am today. We need this kind of refreshers every year to cope with the modern trend of deviation ,aka internationalization, ffs.
How it handled multiple complicated situations which would take episodes in other dramas. How it dealt with the trauma without dragging it with hints and making a big deal out of it to the extent of making the audience uncomfortable.
It's the only drama which I just had to repeat too many scenes over and over before and after finishing many of the episodes. It took me more than 2 hours to finish some episodes all due to repetition and interaction with it's remarkably active fanbase to project my happiness. It was an experience to remember.
I keep asking myself how do you come up with such perfect casts? Every single cast was just so good that you can't picture someone else in that role. I loved all likeable characters. I never liked, nor understood the two unlikeable characters.

I don't understand the hype
As all of us know it's a cliché poor FL x rich ML story. But I've read that it's well done and fun to watch (I mean currently the MDL rating is 8.8), so I did have a certain expectation, even if it wasn't much. And yes, I was disappointed. To be exact, it's the main characters that disappointed me the most.Characters
I don't know what's likable about the ML except his appearance (he's hella cute with his hair down!). I usually don't like flawless characters, since perfection makes them often inhuman & less charming, which is also the case here imo. He was cliché jealous, was throwing his money every way possible to show his love, has the cliché trauma, that almost nobody knows about, doesn't try to really understand the FL and bulldozes his way through to get the FL, etc. I really don't see his charming points...
As for the FL, she is fun to watch, but felt very flat. She is just your typical romcom kdrama FL. I would have liked to see more of her passion for food, that would have added more to her character instead her job was used merely as a connection to ML. Wasted potential...
I first liked the 2nd FL, but as time passed, she got annoying, especially after they started dating. I think her behaviour as a girlfriend was supposed to be funny, but for me that wasn't the case at all...
2nd ML was neither good nor bad. His appearance was fine of course 😏
Romance
2nd couple's encounter was well done and how they got closer was good imo.
What felt meh, was the main couple's story: The rich ML falls in love with the unique FL. It wasn't well executed imo. It had funny parts, but I think it could have been better. And as I have understood, FL doesn't really like the ML, but rather what he does for her in the name of love, which is mainly throwing around money.
When I watched this, I was reminded of What's wrong with secretary Kim, since both of series have similar ML (character & appearance) & both fall in love with their employees. I didn't like WWWSK much, since I didn't really understand how she fell in love with him, but I have to say it was better than Business proposal...
If you like this trope and don't need a deep character or story, you might like it a lot, otherwise it's not worth it imo.

The Perfect RomCom
I’m usually someone that finds romcoms uninteresting because they typically follow the same storyline. Coincidence after coincidence and the couple falls in love. This drama has all the coincidences but it’s how it portrays them that makes this work. There are instances where the adaptation really stand out. This drama is self aware of its fiction and does it perfectly with stylized scenes and camera work. You’d have to watch to see what I mean, I’m just in awe of how a simple storyline that seems so cliche and is, can keep my attention. All the characters are likeable and aren’t too complex, rather they are relatable and the credit has to go to the actors portraying them.
The leads and even the side couple are people I want to end up together and characters I like. Even if the president of the company is arrogant and full of himself, the drama is aware and the acting plays it up so well Ahn Hyp Seop is beyond handsome and perfect for the role. Kim Min-Kyu is also handsome and perfect and they play off eachother as business partners so well. I love all the dynamics with the pairings in this show. From Yeong So to Ha Ri and then Tae Mu and Seong Hun, they feel like real best friends even into their adult lives. Not to mention the grandfather being one of the funniest parts of the show.
To sum it up Business Proposal is a Romantic Comedy with a classic hidden identity plot line. But it doesn’t have a liar reveal (which I hate) instead it has awareness and fun gags and bits. The actors play off eachother so well and it’s worth the watch if you want a feel good drama with romance scenarios

Full of Kdrama clichés but well played and enjoyable. Worth watching because of the cast!
Nothing new, nothing fancy and kinda weak plot. Predictable and not so original.I’m not saying it’s bad as I really enjoyed watching it. The leads are so charming and I love the series because of them. It’s something refreshing since there were only few rom-com dramas that recently aired that are really comical and absorbing.
The good thing about this series is not the plot but the Characters and how they gave justice to their roles. They are really great actors; very amusing that’s why it kept the audience watching. There are no boring episodes and the Chemistry between 2 couples is impressive.
I really like Se jeong and Hyo seop that's why I put this drama on my list even before it aired. Although there is nothing remarkable about the plot I love how it is entertaining that’s why the drama is commendable. Thumbs up to Cast and Crew!

I also love his grandfather by the way, ahh that man made me crack up a lot of times with the way he was so invested in the romantic soap operas he was watching. Shin Ha Ri is a lovely fun heroine that lighted up the screen, i have seen this actress in "School 2017" and i just love her screen presence so much. She had great chemistry with her male lead.
Again, i am glad i picked this up. Made my days much funnier and bright.

FLUFF BREAK I NEEDED!
To be honest, I am currently watching Thirty-nine, but I needed an emotional break lol. I probably have a few episodes left but it's just a heavy and emotionally draining drama. I needed something frivolous to watch and that's exactly what I got with A Business Proposal. It was funny, cute and no really annoying love triangle. Even the secondary couple was super cute with their story. I liked how people made up their mind and stuck by their decisions instead of all this angsty wavering. If you are looking for something reliably cheery and non-threatening, or if you need a fluff break from an intense drama, give it a go. With 12 episodes you can breeze by in 2 days and still manage a reasonable amount of sleep! :)Esta resenha foi útil para você?

It did it's job.
Listen, it was very cute and lighthearted mostly. The story was a little boring at times but honestly, I'd be lying if I said it was trash. I was rooting for all the couples like I was cheering for a team at a basketball game or something lol My biggest issue was the ending. I HATED it. What is it with these k-dramas and making the leads separate for a few years and then meet again? It's annoying. I mean, I know this was based on a Webtoon but still. Who reads these stories and is like "Oh perfect! a predictable ending. We need more of those!"Lol I enjoyed it though. I mean, I wouldn't watch it again anytime soon but maybe in a few years when I completely forget the story.

A Rom-Com Rollercoster
"A Business Proposal" is a cliche in my opinion, from pretending to be a fake couple they fall in love and become a real couple. But the way they have interpreted the story and plot is just brilliant!!!!We have seen many such storylines but " A Business Proposal" has its own unique flavor to offer to us fans.
First of all, I started this drama only because I was interested in the actors, as I had not seen any of their other works; yet i was hooked on the first 3 episodes purely because of the storyline and was at the edge of my seat to see what happens next!!!!
The initial story revolves around how Shin Ha Ri who strugglesto keep her secret from her boss with whom she is pretending to date by being someone else. The drama is filled with moments of humor and excitment never leaving an opening for boredom. Later as the story progresses the story developes and takes a more romantic turn along with justifing each character's past, fears and how they overcome it with their significant other, giving the story more and more depth and meaning, of course the humor and suspense was not compramised. Not to mention the introduction of the CRUSH and love rival which makes this story ever more so thrilling !!!!
Both the couples that is "Shin Ha RixKang Tae Moo" and "Jin Young SeoxCha Sung Hoon" showed an amazing chemistry throughout the series. And not to forget the hint of bromance which enhanced both the humor and found myself shipping them hard!!!!(for that moment )
I just love the way this drama carries out the transsision and growth of all the people involved.....it is just marvellous!!!!
Overall i gave it a 9/10, and highly recommend it to other people who are interested in a simple yet meaningful rom-com show with dramatic scenes and also to the people who love a good webtoon adaptation. I also fell in love with this particular cast and crew!!!!!
