Both are female-centered, Japanese school/youth dramas that explore questions related to relationships, sex, and sexuality in a serious and realistic way.

Both are coming-of-age stories and deal with first love and the journey of discovering yourself and your own desires. If you like shows which focus on friendship, this might be a good one. In Araburu Kisetsu no Otomedomo yo the characters are of course younger but I think it actually touches some really interesting topics in an unexpected way.

Both have literary club at the center of the story. Similar background but different theme, one with sexual exploration other a mystery suspense.
