There was definitely Love in the Air

I really feel that this drama is one of the best ones ever created since they had so much emotion and a whole bunch of happiness and love throughout both of the couples. I also will say I personally loved P’Payu and Rain’s as a couple more than Prapai and Sky because I felt they were less sad and their steamy scenes were off the charts. I will warn you that there might be spoilers ahead so be aware.
The plot was one that I haven’t seen in a BL yet because they were bikers while also having a mix of school boys. I will say that both Payu and Prapai killed it as bikers because they really looked tough and actually looked so good in the biker fits. The whole story starts with Rain and Sky breaking into an illegal bike race and when Rain got caught he met Payu and when Sky got caught he met Prapai. Rain and Payu’s storyline was really adorable and so addicting because Rain and Payu would always coincidentally meet with each other since Rain’s car would always shut down overtime Payu ends up making Rain so upset that he was going to make Payu fall in love with him no matter what and he did in fact make Payu fall in love with him and my favorite scene from them was when Payu won the bike race against Stop and while stop was complaining non stop Payu was having a steamy scene with his wifey so he could careless about Stop. I feel the reason why I didn’t like Prapai and Sky’s story was because of how much they put Sky’s trauma into the storyline like yes I understand that his ex made an impact on him, but it was proven multiple times that Prapai is a green flag and would not hurt him. When they really got to act like a couple they were adorable, but when they had to add his ex back into the storyline at the last episode it was so painful for me to watch Sky cry again, but it showed again that Prapai will protect Sky no matter what. Even though I can rant about the show all day I don’t want to spoil everything. Anyways I really recommend this drama because it’s a show you definitely can’t miss.

I look up to the Sky

This is just a review and rating of the story of Sky and Prapai, i.e. the second part of the series (from the last 10 minutes of episode 7 to the end). I normally don't review or rate things I didn't like, so if I had rated the series as a whole, the rating would be lower. Payu and Rain didn't do it for me and I was done with them after episode 4. I have to say that I enjoyed Noeul's acting very much and I liked Rain, but mostly when he was not with Payu.

Sky was my absolute favourite from the moment I saw the trailer and that didn't change until the end, in fact I watched mainly for him and he and Peat are the reason for the high rating. Sky was the most nuanced and interesting character considering his backstory and the way he dealt with it. At the beginning, he's seen only as Rain's sassy best friend and he seems confident and direct, but also very loyal and always ready to help. When the series progress and we get the chance to know him better, he becomes more vulnerable and insecure, but at the same time, he is and remains the strongest character of the four mains, considering the trauma he's been living with for so long without telling anyone and without feeling like he can trust anyone with it. I was very impressed with Peat's performance, because the role of Sky was the hardest to play and he delivered.

I was very also impressed with Prapai's development from a selfish, careless rich asshole (I'm borrowing the term Sky used to describe him the night they met) to the most faithful, loving, caring partner you can imagine. Fort did great, especially in the last two episodes. For me, the highlight of the season was episode 11, and not only because of the most romantic NC scene I'd seen in a while. I don't remember the last time I thought a couple looked so good together on screen. :) They are both very attractive and just match well and I bought that they are deeply in love just from them looking at each other.

Sadly, I feel that the last episode was rushed and they should've given the Sky and Prapai story at least one episode more to concentrate on Sky's trauma and healing properly. To me, they delevoped the love story exactly as they should have, the pacing was right, and we could see Sky gradually fall in love and trust Pai (Prapai himself was a goner pretty much when they met, he just didn't know it ;), but they didn't give enough time to show Sky recovering from his past with Pai's help. Having found a devoted and adoring boyfriend is a start, but not enough, and I wish they hadn't rushed the ending like that. The special episode was a gem anyway despite not mentioning how Sky was doing in that aspect, because sassy Sky was back and I'll just say it, the NC scene was so hot.

The sound was atrocious for the entire series, and there were several weird cuts in many of the epsides. To sum it up, the editing sucked, but the cinematography was good.

I've rewatched the Sky/Pai part of the season an embarrassing number of times and although I hated having to wait for them for almost 8 episodes, now I have to say I'm glad that the series was split like that, because I don't have to skip though any scenes in the episodes 8 - 13 to enjoy their story. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. Together with Akk and Aye and Mark and Vee, Sky and Prapai are in my top 3 favourite BL couples for this year.

How a simple story can be enhanced by execution and acting

•Love in the Air is a fairly simple story for me, as I have read countless books and novels that have a similar concept. But through its production value, script choices, acting and top-notch chemistry, the show was able to create a long-lasting impression on me.

•The 13 episodes are basically divided into two parts, which is pretty interesting for me. I like this approach since it gives both couples equal amount of screentime and we as viewers can explore their relationship in depth. Given that both the pairs of couples had some prominent developments in their storyline, this choice seems fair and reasonable. If their stories were to go simultaneously, then there would've been a lot of filler scenes and cramping in 45 minutes. The first six and half of seventh episode focus on PhayuRain's story and then the remaing episodes focus on PrapaiSky's development.

•PhayuRain are by far my favourite. Their story might appear convention since the dynamic between the two is a typical dominant top x submissive bottom one, with a lot of sweet and fluffy elements. But that's where it's charm lies. I really enjoyed seeing how the clever and cunning Phayu managed to get the naive and confused Rain to fall for him without the latter even realising it. There were minor scenes which gave second hand embarassment (iykyk) , but overlooking that, I was still able to enjoy it. Phayu may across as arrogant and narcissistic, but he is actually caring and loves Rain unconditionally. He is also protective and will sacrifice his respect if it means saving Rain's life. Meanwhile, Rain is also pretty lovesick. Of course, he is dumb, innocent and easily trusting, but he is also protective and feisty when it comes to his man. Their dynamic was very sweet and BossNoeul's chemistry made their romance even more believable. The NC scene was on fire.

•PrapaiSky are one of the most legendary side couples I have seen in Bl dramas. They're so good that I would've definitely had second couple syndrome hadn't I had noticed PhayuRain first. Their story is more preferred because it had substance in the form of the angst that came from Sky's past. Though it wasn't nothing new to me, but the execution was compelling enought for me to continue with the story. Their dynamic is basically that of the black cat (Sky) and golden retriever (Prapai). Now, many people have issues with Prapai's character having a stalkerish personality, as he used to constantly text message Sky despite of the latter's constant resistance and blockings. Well, that's bad, but I must say that if Prapai gave in, Sky would've probably never taken an intiative and would be still stuck with the trauma and insecurities his ex caused him. On the brighter side, Prapai had a complete 360° change and completely devoted himself to Sky. He turned from a play boy to a green flag, and I appreciate the change. Sky also learnt to appreciate himself and understood the unbiased love Prapai has for him. FortPeat also have a major role in bringing their characters emotions and tensions to life. Their NC scene was also nothing short of sexual tension and hotness.

•Overall, this drama has completely captivated me with its stellar performance and concise story. There two categories of viewers for this- those who enjoy it and those who find it boring/offensive. I definitely one who like it, and kind off eyeballs the flaws, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Sono così triste che sia finito, il giovedì è uno dei giorni peggiori nella mia settimana, me lo ha letteralmente salvato, ogni giovedì subisco bastonate dalla scuola ma in fondo sono felice solo per il fatto che esce l’episodio, non so come farò d’ora in poi.

All’inizio non sapevo di questa divisione degli episodi particolare quindi mi lamentavo che non cercassero di sviluppare anche l’altra coppia ma poi sono venuta a conoscenza della situazione e ho capito tutto e su questo ho pensieri contrastanti: da un lato penso sia meglio unire l’evoluzione di entrambe le coppie insieme, come in ogni serie, ma d'altra parte è anche qualcosa di nuovo ai miei occhi e proprio per la storia raccontata è meglio dividerla, soprattutto la storia di Sky e Pai, se fosse stata raccontata in contemporanea di quella di Rain e Payu, non mi avrebbe permesso di provare le giuste emozioni.

Parlando nello specifico delle coppie:
-riguardo Rain e Payu, loro stupendi ma purtroppo devo dire che c’è anche del negativo nella loro storia. Sappiamo che sin dall’inizio Payu era innamorato di Rain, mentre quest'ultimo era solo infastidito da Payu perché la ragazza che gli piaceva lo amava.
Vabbè questa era la situazione iniziale ma andiamo a quando si era rotta la macchina di Rain (perchè payu l’aveva manomessa apposta) quindi Payu l’ha fatto dormire a casa sua, da lì la cosa è stata un pò tossica perchè c’è da dire che Payu mi è sembrato un pò un maniaco, letteralmente ha toccato Rain servendosi del fatto che lui stesse lì zitto e che comunque fosse un pò scemo, so che comunque a Rain era piacuito ma allo stesso tempo Payu avrebbe dovuto tenere le mani a posto e stesso Rain non sembrava sapere che questa cosa era sbagliata.
In generale dopo che Rain gli ha detto che lo avrebbe conquistato entro un mese la situazione è decisamente migliorata e da lì ho amato tutto alla follia.
In primis ho amato come Payu abbia detto a Rain di responsabilizzarsi e sapersi organizzare se voleva vederlo perchè anche se un pò severo da parte sua, è stato fatto e detto solo per il bene di Rain , perchè Payu era preoccupato che Rain avrebbe pensato solo a quella scommessa e non a portare avanti i suoi studi in maniera organizzata.
In questa situazione ho amato la purezza di Rain che non aveva capito i suoi sentimenti ma sì è impegnato ugualmente solo perchè non voleva deludere Payu e voleva incontrarlo, è stato così carinooo. Poi mi ha fatto morire come quello che doveva provarci con l’altro era Rain ma sembrava fosse Payu a farlo ahahah vabbè che Payu era stato conquistato già solo dal primo sguardo. Infatti quando Payu ha detto a Rain che il mese era passato e bastava così, lo stavo per uccidere, lì ho amato proprio la recitazione dello sguardo impaurito e scioccato di Rain che si è letteralmente visto perdere una delle persone a cui tiene di più in un secondo, menomale che Payu stava scherzando.
Alla fine devo dire di aver trovato parecchio inutile la cosa del rapimento, avrei preferito non ci fosse proprio perchè non ho provato nulla a riguardo, solo skippata poi seriamente parlando mi hanno traumatizzata con la faccia di Rain in quella foto, è un meme vi prego.
In generale ho amato molto il loro amore, gli sguardi mi facevano impazzire, impeccabili.
-riguardo Sky e Pai, amatissimi anche loro.
All’inizio era disappointed della situazione loro e l’avventura della nottata, ero così triste per Sky e mi fa piacere che Pai col tempo abbia capito quanto amasse Sky e che quindi non era più una questione di sesso ma una questione di vero e propio amore.
Ho amato come Pai sia stato sempre molto chiaro riguardo i suoi sentimenti e come sia stato sempre paziente con i mille pensieri di Sky.
Sky è quel tipo di personaggio che è molto difficile, tutti quei traumi dati dalla stessa persona lo hanno completamente distrutto, era accecato d’amore e per questo non capiva e si dava la colpa per ogni cosa proprio perchè non vedeva l’ex come una persona a cui dare colpe perché lo amava e pure tanto. Tutto ciò che ha passato lo hanno portato a un tormento tale da stare male anche dopo essersi “ripreso” da quella storia. Sì, era riuscito a tornare sù ma il danno è permanente e non si toglie con tanta facilità, molto probabilmente è impossibile toglierlo, anche se diminuisce continuerà a persistere.
Quindi con questo tipo di situazione e Sky che giustamete non diceva quello che passava, a Pai la situazione è stata un pò difficle perchè veramente non capiva cosa avesse portato Sky a essere così diffidente e così testrado sull’idea che tutti lo utilizzino solo per sesso, ma nonostante ciò Pai ha saputo perfettamente trattarlo come doveva e meritava.
Nella loro storia c’è molto contatto fisico, parole di supporto e di amore, c’è anche bisogno che questo amore venga continuamente accertato e verificato proprio perché viene raccontata una storia molto delicata, infatti ho amato tutte le accortezze, in generale tutto.
Quando poi, dopo il loro fidanzamento, è successo che Sky ha visto Pai abbracciarsi con un tizio, lì devo dire di aver odiato un pò anche Pai perchè capisco che gli stavi parlando freddamente ma leva quel cazzo di sorriso e quel cazzo di braccio che sta attorno al corpo del tizio e poi ne riparliamo. Sky ha fatto benissimo a non contattarlo più e devo dire che mi è piaciuto quando Pai è andato nella stanza di Sky per cercare spiegazioni, al telefono Sky era stato duro a dire quelle parole e ho amato che nonostante ciò Pai ha avuto speranza sapendo che Sky non è quel tipo di persona e che sicuramente non la pensasse così.
Quando poi si sono ritrovati faccia a faccia nella stanza di Sky il tutto può essere riassunto con la parola “tensione”, Pai è stato un pò duro continuando a leggere le cose che Sky aveva scritto su quel quaderno anche se quest’ultimo gli stesse pregando di smetterla, da una parte andava fatto perché solo così si poteva mettere la testa apposto. Mi è piaciuto particolarmente quell’abbraccio perchè anche se era stato duro, Pai voleva solo farlo ragionare e consolarlo di tutto.
Andando alla situazione del piano merdoso di Gun, ho odiato come Gun abbia incastrato loro per fare del male a Sky , ma poi dico io c’era veramente il bisogno di fare ciò? NO.
È stato particolarmente difficile da vedere, lì nè Pai nè Sky avevano fiducia totale, da una parte hanno confuso Sky dicendogli che Pai lo avesse gettato via e dall’altra parte a Pai era stato detto che Sky avesse sedotto e portato in stanza Gun. In tutto ciò ho amato la pazienza già esaurita di Pai che ha cercato di sentire la cosa stesso da Sky che invece era solo terrorizzato con lo sguardo perso nel vuoto e senza neanche la forza di piangere.
È stato doloroso vederli così ma fortunatamente hanno capito l’inganno e si sono consolati a vicenda.
MA POI HO LETTERALMENTE AMATO QUANDO PAI HA TIRATO VIA IL PIERCING DI GUN, VI PREGO MITO…MITO, TI AMO PAI.

In generale questa serie è stata particolarmente bella da guardare per me, tralasciando la cosa tossica di payu e le battute poco seducenti (erano imbarazzanti vi prego) di Pai, il resto è una bomba. Tutto è trattato in dettaglio e raccontano a dovere, la chimica è alle stelle in tutti i sensi, non credo di aver mai visto una serie in cui tutte e due le coppie avessero questa chimica bomba. Sig è un mood di vita. Guardate sta serie.

LOVE IN THE AIR é também sobre o retorno da MAME aos BL como uma nova mulher.

Antes de falar de Love In The Air, precisamos falar dos bastidores dessa série, mais precisamente, da problemática produtora e roteirista. A persona non grata do mundinho BL, MAME.

O passado da MAME a condena de muitas formas, ela tem duas outras séries que são horríveis, TharnType e DontSayNo, a atuação é péssima, a direção é medíocre e o roteiro tem momentos que são um desserviço a comunidade LGBTQIAP+.

As expectativas para Love In The Air (LITA) eram baixíssimas, mas eu dei o benefício da dúvida para a MAME e torci para ela ter melhorado desde suas outras tentativas. LITA foi a prova de que sim, mesmo depois de um desastre colossal as pessoas podem melhorar.

Love In The Air tem uma produção muito acima da média dos BL Tailandeses, tem uma história caótica e que muitas vezes abusa da nossa suspensão da descrença. O que nos cativa aqui é o elenco e a simplicidade que o roteiro tem em nos apresentar uma narrativa que não ofende a nossa capacidade crítica. Os casais principais são uma graça, as dinâmicas e diálogos são bem simples, mas funcionam. E a química é um acontecimento.

Tem erros, mas que não vão impactar de forma profunda a sua experiência final.

Love In The Air é o retorno da MAME ao mundo BL assumindo seus erros e tentando ser uma nova roteirista. Ela conseguiu ouvir alguns gritos de espectadores silenciados por uma indústria que acha que relacionamento LGBTQIAP+ são apenas entretenimento, uma estrutura que explica com perfeição o absurdo do termo "pink money" e trouxe crítica social e fugiu de alguns esteriótipos.

Não se enganem, nem tudo nessa série é um mar de rosas. Estou ansioso para as próximas produções da MAME e ficarei cada vez mais atento em suas obras. Será que essa melhora é genuína?

It's an original story by MAME, so I was really worried about the content of this series, but actually, it was fun.

About the plot: the series is divided into 2 arcs, the couples basically are developed by the narrative separated, 1-7 is about Payu and Rain and 7-13 it's Prapai and Sky. So, I will divide my review into these 2 arcs:

- PayuRain:
Honestly, when I was watching and their arc ended in the 7 episode, I was really disappointed bcs they did a really bad time management. Their story feels so rushed and corny. Also, the kidnapping was so unasked... like?? But at all, it was fun BCS it was a little camp, but the problem is: They didn't have the intention of being camp... That's the problem. About their acting: Both Noeul (Rain) and Boss (Payu) did a very OK job, nothing special but not BAD either.

- PrapaiSky:
It's incredible how their story is SO BETTER managed than PayuRain story. The start of their relationship feels weird and I didn't know how to interpret the way that everything happened, but, the way that their relationship develops it's beautiful. I was enamored with Prapai slowly melting Sky. About the acting, both of them, Fort (Prapai) and Peat (Sky) did a very good job, especially with both being rookies. PS.: SKY WAS SO CUTE.

The management of the series, as I said, looks more like 2 short series than 1 series. About the race plot: he almost doesn't exist, it's kinda funny how the series is promoted with these themes since in some parts I forgot that they race. And yes the sex scenes are well done.

The Story is interesting and not boring to watch

CAST

For me the casting of the drama from day one was amazing they really did a great job with it.
Payu and Rain aka Boss and Noeul's acting can be scored as a 8 overall, they have enough and more ability to grow and did a fine job with LITA as their first drama.
As for Prapai and Sky aka Fort and Peat their acting varied during the drama. At times I was disappointed with the performance and at times I was immensely impressed by it. Like Boss and Noeul, Fort and Peat too have so much of potential for improvement, if given the proper guidance they would turn out to be shining diamonds.

STORY

I Love LOVE IN THE AIR. The author "Mame Orawan Vichayawannakul" did such an amazing job with the novel.... I love the two parts "Love Storm" and "Love Sky", the flow of the story is such a beautiful thing the read and watch that without much thought they will end up being one of your favorites to read and watch that was what happen to me. If you still haven't watched love in the air please start. it would not disappoint you.

MUSIC

There are 3 main tracks of LITA. "My Strongest Love" - Boss & Noeul, "Never Say" - Fort & Peat, "Love In The Air" - Boss, Noeul, Fort & Peat. 3 different soundtracks that are cute and sweet. one that consists of a MV while the other 2 show the chemistry between the 2 couples.

Overall I Loved Love in the air and for sure will end up watching it until i actually get fed up of it. whether you want to watch them on YT or IQIYI its upto you, But please take your time to watch it and fall in love with the characters PhayuRain, PrapaiSky, Saifa, Sig and all the others i couldn't mention.
