Watch if you lack stress in life
I did not really want to post a review of this. Since I dropped it mid way around episode 20ish and just watched the final 2 episodes. For me the chemistry is low for this pairing too.Warning this is a very tiring, stressful and frustrating series to watch. Because the plot is so extreme with never ending issues. From the start of their relationship, its just non stop issues, issues and issues. The issues are so forced, ridiculous and extreme every other episode.
So if you want to pull your hair out, feels nauseating, experience cringe and dog blood. This series is for you. Happy ending in the end so if thats the goal, just watch a few early episodes and then skip to last 2 episode will make it a better experience.
But really there are better things to watch out there.

A DRAMA TO DROP EARLY- TOO LONG AND TORTUOUS
Story: This is a story about marriage, mothers-in-law, raising children. The thesis of the writer - the characters must be rude, mindless, selfish, overbearing, dishonest, uncaring, unethical, and basically devoid of normal human responses. The main couple meets at work. The older male is the number 2 man in a huge investment firm and meets an upstart new young employee and falls head over heels with her ending in a quick proposal and one nightstand. She immediately becomes pregnant. Since the company has a no dating rule -- their decisions from this point forward become the source of "FANTASY and what makes this drama insufferable but still lures you to watch. From the point of this ill-begotten decision (which is really early in this 40 episode drama) the viewer must watch this marriage fall into an abyss of hell.
Curiosity will cause you to continue to watch, but after a while, you are watching and screaming at the television
What is family and why is there all of this negative energy in this family? If you ever thought you were in a bad marriage situation - well you will not feel that way after watching this drama.
I am just going to list the WHY I HATE THE FEMALE CHARACTER (not going to dwell on the MALE CHARACTER because I viewed him as STUPID, A WIMP, and IMPOTENT.
1. what would be the natural order of establishing a family with this first quiz? Who leaves the company?
2. when the company does not welcome pregnant employees, and you know it - what should you do as a pregnant woman (especially when given an opportunity?
3. When you are pregnant what do you decide to ingest or who chooses where you are going to give birth?
4.When you have a premature baby and your body has not healed what is the first thing you worry about - your job or the baby?
5. Why do you listen to your divorced, sick, selfish mother when making decisions?
6. Why don't you take the blame for your bad decisions and not shift them over to your husband7
.
7. Why are you so jealous and accusing of "affairs" when you are the coldest most argumentative woman ever portrayed in a drama?
I can go on and on and continue complaining about the writer's portrayer of this character. As you begin to feel something is seriously wrong with the messages of this drama to any viewer, in any country - let alone the country of origin you should tell yourself - HIT the REALITY button and DROP. Even enduring to the end will make you unhappy. Without revealing any more spoilers., I issue a precautionary warning - this is an ABNORMAL relationship and don't believe anything the writers spew at you - especially the ending.

I've never hated a Female Lead more
The writing for this drama was just so horrible. Strange enough, I wanted to finish the drama and I never really got bored, but the story was very frustrating with the ML & FL. I hated the female lead from the beginning to the end. I'm was a working mom and no way did I treat my husband that way. The female lead's mother-in-law did not help either. The reason I gave this drama 5 stars instead of 1 was because of the young secondary couple. They were absolutely adorable. They should have wrote the drama revolving around them instead.
I hope Hawick Lau gets better dramas in the future, he's talented and this storyline was horrific.

First time don't like the female lead character
Too much annoyed female's lead character and sometime her mother . Man sacrifices everything for her instead of understanding him ,she herself creating misunderstanding and when misunderstanding gets cleared instead of living mannerly or I can living nicely ,she pulled the things more and over react .I like the thing that woman should be treat equally just like a man but it doesn't mean that woman becomes selfish ,I mean to prove herself she hurting others .
To run any relationship mutual understanding ,trust and little bit compromise are needed from both sides.
Love story started too early which spoils the mood ,I thought that he would take time to realize his feelings towards her and then some jealous moments which make him sure about his feelings and then he pursue her.
May be drama first showing her negative character then make her realise her mistakes and then they would have happy ending but she never accept her mistake and he always trying to mend their relationship which gave the happy ending to the drama.
One thing I didn't understand how she got pregnant second time .
Though drama had a happy ending but it was a bad ending .

A rare story in dramaland
Despite what the first episodes of this drama might look like: rich, successful boss and the new girl at work falling in love, the fast pace of that first stage of romance leading up to the marriage is all we need to know that is only the beginning. This drama is really about the struggles of a young marriage, where both the woman and the man are career-oriented people, who clearly love each other but must deal with problems at work, starting a family, and having two overbearing mothers they try to please. I really liked both leads, their flaws felt so real, and so was their love for each other. I especially could relate to the female lead, as a young woman who also has to juggle between family and work, but beware! This character might not be everyone's cup of tea, because she doesn't fit the mold of the female leads in romantic dramas or movies in general. Overall, I was satisfied with the resolution of the drama, although I would have liked more sweet scenes towards the end of it, the dramatic episodes take a big part of this story so if you are looking for a short escape, this 40 episode drama might be too long for you!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

It was ok... I just have a hard time with...
Where to begin? This is a bit lengthy so if you don’t want to read it so be it. It has some of my personal experiences/opinions in it.First off, I am a stay at home mom. I don’t get how some mothers see this as losing their identity because they stay home to raise their kids. They see a career as being more rewarding to validate their lives. Being a mom who stays home is one of the greatest gift as a mother. You are there to help mold and shape these sweet, precious little people. To help them become better and strong and independent day by day. So being a stay at home mom and wife is one of the greatest rewards there is. I have always wanted to be home with my kids and homeschool them. And I am really blessed to be able to do that. I do not feel or ever felt I lost my identity or who I was. That being said... I know not every woman is like me, so I do not really hold it against them. I know that a lot of mothers HAVE to work outside the home to make ends meet. I know there are a LOT of single moms out there. I know there are woman who really are not cut out to be a stay at home mom. I hold NOTHING against them. I admire them for all they do and put up with. But for me I love being home with my kids. I am a landlord and will take a more active roll in it once my children are more grown. So I will work later on just not while my kids are of school age. So for the show...
This show had me mad at the husband and mad at the wife. I get both sides I really do. I have a husband who puts his family first above his job. So the husband made me mad when he could not get why the wife wanted to divorce. Everyone around him was trying to get him to see what she was talking about but he did not get it. The other “wives” of his business partners ticked me off! What right did they have to put her down for her beliefs and what she wanted to accomplish. And how the men talked about her after she left... if that was my husband he would have told them off. Boss or no boss don’t put my spouse down in front of me. My dad did it once to my mom and boy he never did it again after that. It comes down to respect! And I do understand that here in the U.S. we are more forward thinkers when it comes to women, work, and family. Seems that other countries the women are still fighting for their chance at choosing how they want to live and work.
If there is any lessons to learn here...
1: Husbands need to help out. Our world is fast paced and it is almost not enough for just the wife to be the only homemaker and Vice a versa... it is almost not enough for the husband to be the only bread winner. Times have changed in this regard and we need to learn to adapt and work together.
2: Wives can still find validation as a mom. It is very rewarding. Just like the FL said, when your baby calls you “mom” it is a wonderful experience! It makes you feel like you are someone important. You realize that there is a little person counting on you! They love and adore you. You become their world! It is a wonderful feeling!
3: Communicate! Listen and help each other out.
4: Men! Stay the heck away from other women! Don’t put yourselves in a situation where there are temptations and where others see it as cheating even if you are not. Avoid the very appearance of evil!
Storyline - Haha ok so I rated the story kind of higher than most because it really shows the struggles of real life married couples who both want a career. I think they did a great job. I had a hard time when the husband hung out to with his assistant. I also had a hard time with the husbands failure to really stop and listen to what his wife was saying. He was a jerk in that sense. He really did not even try to understand her. He told her she was selfish. She was a bit selfish. They both were at fault. I am glad he finally came around and saw it from her point of view. So many times I wanted to be her and just walk away or really tell him off! And the higher ups he worked with I wanted to be in her shoes and really tell them where to go. Haha good thing it was NOT me! Hubby would have been fired. I don’t take crap from anyone! Lol
Acting/Cast - I really think the cast did a great job. The emotion was there. And it was really well played.
Music - was good. I liked it.
Rewatch - probably not. I don’t watch shows like this to often. They make my blood boil. Lol! So rewatch for me is not that high.

Invisible Life = Transparent Life
I was immediately drawn to the title, "Invisible Life" and anticipated the upcoming suspense, tension and bubbling heartwarming scenes. However, I was greatly disappointed to see that the heartwarming scenes were limited to the first few episodes in regards to the main couple. Upon proposing and getting married the drama became a battle zone of issues such as misunderstandings, untrusting spouse, annoying mothers-in-law, frustrating unrequited love, work-related problems and a woman's position in the world. The focus of the drama is a couple hiding their relationship at work because of its strict policy of no dating. While struggling with work and family life the female protagonist (more like an antagonist atp) becomes stronger and overcomes. It was only by the grace of God that I reached episode 32 without gorging my eyes or pulling all my hair out. The focus of the drama is immediately thrown out of the window as the company figures out their relationship relatively faster than I expected. I wished for an opportunity to actually see the extent of how they'd manage to hide their relationship and how they would interact with one another but it was short-lived. Maybe I was expecting too much but I feel like the drama, Invisible Life was too transparent. Their life was pretty open to everyone and nothing much was invisible other than their communication skills. Their communication seems like it isn't meant to solve anything but to argue. Each character already has arrived at their own conclusion therefore discussing the matter is pointless. The female lead is argumentative, selfish and frustrating. Her husband is portrayed as someone who is mature and goes after what he wants yet it seems that it only applies to work. Their relationship and chemistry were much better when he was in the hospital and while they were dating. If you do continue to watch the drama soak up all their cute moments in the beginning because in the later episodes you will barely and rarely see them being intimate or cute. Don't get me wrong they are wonderful actors but the script isn't my favourite. I understand the struggles of the female lead and how difficult it is to live in a society that is male-dominated and sexist but there are many times where she forgets his situation and how he feels. The husband tries to understand his wife but he truly believes that he should solely provide for his family. It's sweet but frustrating. The drama is drawn out and so tiresome. As always the supporting cast relationships save the show. Their relationships are slow and can be frustrating at times but its fine.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Started out interesting
The first bit was interesting but i couldnt take the stupidity of it all. Just to try and prove women can work and have a family they make the ML quit his job when he had the higher job and position not to mention the breach of contract penalty. They made life and there marriage hard for absolutely NO reason. How dumb is that to sacrafice your financial stability for the other who is just newly hired to the company. this was stupid attempt male bash and it turned out to have a FL that let her mother destroy what could have been a solid marriage because she had to remain independent when it didnt make sense for her to keep working when the husband was in a better financial position than her.

Skip
If you want a heartfelt drama where the leads grow into better people, this is not it. The writer seems to misunderstand the roles of a career woman who can balance both work and home lives.EP 1 started our promising with the FL explaining her name and how she has a photographic memory, is smart and never fails. I was hoping for a women empowerment series and this drama failed miserably.
Despite being supposedly a really good financial analyst, she is unable to analyze her personal life and path to marriage and motherhood. I get that financial analyst deals only with numbers and may be unable to communicate, so if this was the case, the writer should have written her narrative like so. She is built up as a career oriented woman who is on her way up. However, her female superior doesn't even like her initially and basically ignored her. I did not understand this arc in the story. She also does not have any friends at all other than one co-worker.
The ML is a key player at their company and supposed shine at his work. He is the more balanced individual of the 2. Also, he has a fun side as he is seen playing video games. He is also more sensitive to her needs than she is to his.
The romance started very early on in the series. Nothing really memorable. Then she gets pregnant which led to hiding the marriage from their employment. He had a master plan to get her a new job and make motherhood less stressful for her, but she insists on staying at the company. Even after finding out that he had to pay $3M if he resigns, she still forced him to resign. Where was the smart financial analyst that she claimed to be? Further, if she is so smart and great, wouldn't she be able to prove herself at another company. She's a rookie and he's like the #2 at their company.
FL also had total disregard for her health and well being of her unborn child. At 7 months pregnant, she climbed several flights of stairs despite feeling unwell. This led to getting a C-section and the child being born pre-maturely. He was on a business trip and was blamed for being unavailable at her time of need. He was working to make ends meet. At this time, he has no money to pay for the admittance fee to transfer his son to a specialized hospital and had to borrow from his mother. Despite knowing that they have financial problems, she insists on getting a hotel instead of staying at home and driving to the hospital. Again, how is she a qualified financial analyst who is supposedly really good at her job? The money to the hotel should be reserve to pay for the son's hospital and medical bills.
Being raised by a single mother and full of hatred for an absentee dad, FL was very quick to force a divorce and keep the child from the husband.
The story is filled with holes and incomplete developments. It did not warrant 40 episodes. The FL did not grow at all during the 39 episodes and then in episode 40 she becomes understanding to let the ML be a part of the 2nd pregnancy when he asked for a trial period to start over. And they ended the series with both being keynote speakers to talk about how they relied on each other to succeed in both home and work life.
I only watched the entire series because I was hoping for redemption and some kind of epiphany from the FL. Woman Empowerment! Failed.
Tons of misunderstanding that led to nowhere. Lots were created by FL's mother, but the ML's mother contributed as well. Of course, a lot by FL for her unreasonable thought process and demands. ML sacrificed a lot, but he still had communication issues.
Nothing really resolved until episode 40. The story takes place within a year and a half (except episode 40). It took the ML years to get to where his career as an upper executive. She was 25 and a rookie who just finished her probation period and got hired on full time... and within months, she got promoted as a Director while she had a period of maternity leave. That's unrealistic.
Kudos to the actors for portraying characters of a terrible written script. Side stories were more interesting and some supporting actors were more likeable.

Best show ever
Invisible life starts off as a cute show of a secret inter-company romance in a company that prohibits romance between co-workers. Chen Du Ling and Hawick Lau play as the main couple who through multiple change and challenges in their lives from a secret marriage to pregnancy to a possible divorce. This show targets multiple real-life struggles that modern-day women go through, including the idea that women have to give up their dreams the instant they become a wife and a mother. Which to me is the most sexist and idiotic statement in the world. As its a double standard that a man can be a father and work but a woman can't be a mother and a businesswoman. It may seem like I'm simply saying the description of this show but the emotion that comes from this show is strong. Especially when it comes to women's modern-day struggles. I started watching this show due to the main couple as I had watched multiple dramas from both actors. Ye Xiao Bai (Chen Du Ling) grows as a person through all the challenges she faces from both her family and her job. Many many think that she is annoying but when you think about what she is actually going through you can start to understand her. I find that the main thing in this show is to prove that communication is one of the most important things in a relationshp.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Nice Try....
When I read the synopsis I was genuinely intrigued and had high hopes for this drama. Unfortunately, I was scrolling through some comments and I accidently read the ending. After I read it I dropped it. The acting was great but the dialogue was repetitive and unrealistic. The music was good, one of the few dramas where I don't skip the opening or ending. If someone were to finish it I highly doubt they'd re-watch it. They tried. They failed and to whoever spoiled it for me I hope your next drama has a terrible ending!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
