A feel good, comforting drama that felt unexpectedly relatable.
Considering that the novel this drama was based on was very short, 32 chapters might feel like too much for some viewers. There's little conflict in this story, it's just the journey of Jing Jing and Yu Tu, two very different people who have been walking very different paths, meeting again through a game and going from acquaintances to friends to lovers. From episode 23 onwards we just have the epilogue stories, so maybe the drama would have benefited with fewer episodes, but I personally enjoyed the eye candy and the heart-warming scenes. Some have compared this drama to Love Scenery, but besides the initial premise of science guy and celebrity, there is little in common. The main characters in You Are My Glory are both very mature, and while our lady Jing Jing doesn't go through much change (she seems to have her life figured out from the start of the drama), Yu Tu feels so real and it's easy to sympathize with him, especially if you are or have been through that moment in life where you have to choose between following your passion or giving up to the expectations society have for you in terms of money and status. I love Yang Yang, but comparing his performance in previous works and this drama, he's improved a lot here!
The chemistry between the two leads was also the stuff of dreams! Every time they look at each other you can see the sparks! Their interactions are so natural to the point I, as a viewer, felt like I was trespassing into a very private moment of a couple, and this is something that rarely happens even in this genre.
If you are looking for something that will leave a permanent smile on your face long after you've stopped looking at the screen, this might be it for you!

A rare story in dramaland
Despite what the first episodes of this drama might look like: rich, successful boss and the new girl at work falling in love, the fast pace of that first stage of romance leading up to the marriage is all we need to know that is only the beginning. This drama is really about the struggles of a young marriage, where both the woman and the man are career-oriented people, who clearly love each other but must deal with problems at work, starting a family, and having two overbearing mothers they try to please. I really liked both leads, their flaws felt so real, and so was their love for each other. I especially could relate to the female lead, as a young woman who also has to juggle between family and work, but beware! This character might not be everyone's cup of tea, because she doesn't fit the mold of the female leads in romantic dramas or movies in general. Overall, I was satisfied with the resolution of the drama, although I would have liked more sweet scenes towards the end of it, the dramatic episodes take a big part of this story so if you are looking for a short escape, this 40 episode drama might be too long for you!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I watched this drama last year after enjoying Gu Man's other adaptations "Boss and Me" and "A Smile is very Alluring". However, I ended up dropping it at episode 10 because I could not stand the story and the main characters. Even being used to possesive male leads in kdramas and chinese dramas, Yi Chen was just too much for me. It also frustrated me how Mo Sheng got blamed about their problems by literally everyone else. Their terrible communication skills left me wondering how their relationship could survive later on.
So why did I finish this drama now?
People kept talking about how good this story was, even better than the other two Gu Man novel's I've read. Was I missing something? So I wasted another 22 hours of my life.
I think the actors did a decent job. It's not Tiffany's acting but her character that is bland. I haven't watched Wallace Chung in other dramas but his expressions were always on point. The music was probably the best about this drama, but that would never make go through 32 chapters of frustration and agony again.

So this was such a big, wonderful surprise!
First, the main actors are really in their teens, which is already a plus if you're tired of watching twenty something (or thirty something) people playing teenagers. This should also be a warning, if you're looking for steamy kisses, this is not a place for you. However, if what you want are sweet, romantic moments to make you squee in your seat, you're in for a full ride!
I loved that, though the appearance of Xiao Miao Mioa was not the best at the beginning of the story, there were not people, even in the school, making remarks on that, as we often see in other dramas. Liang You Nian is also everything that is right in a male lead: not only good-looking, but nice and considerate of others.
The relationship between Miao Mio and her mother and sister, and also the one she has with her best friends are part of my favorite things in this show, and you can easily relate to some of those situations the face together.
The romance is slow-paced, the main characters take a while to get together, but every moment leading to it is enjoyable, and the side stories of secondary characters are also interesting and moving.
It's definitely a feel-good drama I would not mind watching again and again.

Love Heals nothing here.
The premise of the story and the beautiful cast pulled me into this story, and yet this was a case of a misguiding title and synopsis. I love second chance stories and I really wanted to like this series, but after so many episodes I started questioning the leads relationship more and more. They learn nothing, there are never apologies for awful behavior from the ML, and it is frustrating to see how the FL forgives him and gives in so easily. It is also questionable how the ML uses his child to guilt trip his ex wife and force her to stay in his life. The show wanted it to be cute, and yes, the child actor was cute, but what was happening was still despicable considering the circumstances of their relationship and divorce years ago.For all the great chemistry between the actors, which is undeniable, I could not like them together and by the time they broke up (again) I just wanted this series to be over. I couldn't sit through the final episodes, but I doubt they could redeem either of the characters by that point.

If you have the patience, however, the story only gets better with time. The boys in K&K will catch your heart, Yang Zi and Li Xian are adorable in together, and the family relationships (Solo and his daughter, Tong Nian's family, ShangYan, Wu Bai and grandpa) will keep you with a smile in the face.

The story is meant to give us more questions (what would you do in Azuza's situation? How would it feel being forgotten?) than answers. Even if the plot of the "person being forgotten" has been used many times, I found it different here because the movie goes around the character's feelings rather than anything else. This is also what might keep you watching the movie more than once and thinking about it for days after it ends.

One thing I have to criticize the writer is - again - the way she writes her female characters. This is something that ruined W for me, and in Memories of Alhambra made the romance feel forced and unnecessary. I couldn't help but sigh at the waste of Park Shin Hye's time for this show.
I still enjoyed it, however. I'd reccomend it for those who enjoys a drama packed with suspense and action, and that will leave you with questions after every episode, this might be for you.
