Good Drama, if you go with right expectation (i.e. lower them)
Prepare yourself mentally before starting this drama - that this would be cliched in every sense: characters, situations, romance & mystery. It is one of those dramas that does not need a lot of brain power, and should be taken lightly.Acting: This is my first drama seeing both the FL and ML for the first time in drama (I have seen the FL in some minor role and ofc as part of her girl group). They both do not act that will make you sit up and applaud but are not terrible either. The rest of the cast are also easy on the eyes & brain as the drama progresses, but nothing memorable.
Plot-wise: Too cliche to the core - but then sometimes one is in mood of such plots when you do not want to use much of your brain cells. In that respect this drama delivers, but if you go with high expectation you will be highly disappointed.
Overall - recommended only if you have nothing else to watch. Nothing is memorable about it, but when you watch it somehow it passes time really well.

A grand failure
Before I start my review please tell me who is actually rating this drama anything above an average bad drama rating. The plot is all over the place with way too many elements that keep on being added without previous plot points being resolved. The drama is a good remake of the movie so I won't critique it for straying. The acting was decent and the music was good but the storyline is what spoilt this drama , too many unresolved plot points all being rushed to be completed in the last 2 episodes. The ending given to certain plot points are just not satisfactory or go unresolved as well ,so it's a failure by my standards.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

WowThis drama although it's story was normal
It was written in a very well and beautiful way
I loved it so much
The romance was placed correctly
The story was connected well and smooth
The plot was strong
The end was really satifying and they explained every detail except the ML's mother's situation
Mainly it was talking about entertainment industry just as (Sh**ting star) drama
And the problems and the scandals stars can face
It was obvious that Korean are soooo scary
They judge any one and go with rumors and prefer to kept grudge instead of forgiveness till the limit they can destroy the star or kill him
which is extremely annoying and scary
What I disliked the most at the drama
was that Tae Joon saved his CEO and paid his debts
After all what he did to him
He literally destroyed Tae Joon in a very mean way and it was fair enough to lose his company 🤬🤬🤬
And Tae Joon's mother
I didn't get why she refused all the drama to reply his recorded messages and at the end she just called him when he reached the truth and began to cry
That's it
Which was really annoying
I couldn't forgive this two annoying characters
As usual min gue was so cute although his role was so small T_T
What I loved a lot that there were no stupid separations
No annoying childhood love
No illogical long time jump
And no misunderstandings between main leads
Definitely I loved it

Secondary leads tanked the show for me
This show is simple.- When it's focusing on the leads, it's pretty good.
- When the secondary leads are on screen, which is way too often, it is absolutely miserable.
They are insufferable and their relationship is toxic. I think the secondary male lead played by Hwang Chan Sung (who isn't actually a bad actor from what I could see here, he was simply dealt poor material) is one of my least favorite characters of all-time simply due to how abusive he was and how much screen time was devoted to him. Horrible. So much angst! And we are somehow meant to root for him which makes it worse. Truly a crash course on "How Not To Write A Character".
And then, near the end, the show commits the worst sin of them all: gaslighting not just the characters, but the viewers, into thinking that something wrong was something right via emotional manipulation and bullshit retconning. Garbage writing.
Literally the only positive thing about this show is that the main romance worked well, for the most part.
Lastly, I think it's funny how Choi Soo-young is superstar-level pretty (she's actually in kpop group Girls Generation) and yet we're supposed to believe everybody's like "eh, she's kind of average"?
Ah but you see, nobody notices… except for the male lead, of course! Lmao

A cliche kdrama but it's exactly what you need ;)
I'm a fan of the "enemies to lovers" trope no matter how cliche it is so keep in mind the underlying bias my review has. Honestly, after having watched so many intense, thrilling ,and gripping kdramas that gave me anxiety and high blood pressure every episode, this is exactly what I needed and so much more. So absolutely give it a try if you've been just like me and need a rest from the unpredictable twists & turns and tragical plotlines that kdramas have been offering lately. This kdrama reminded me that all of us need some cliches once in a while so that life isn't always a crazy rollercoaster. Sometimes, you just need to sit back and relax, knowing it's all going to end well and that itself might be the greatest comfort at times in life. This aspect the drama delivered exceptionally as it employs the "enemies to lovers" trope.
Also, can we talk about how amazing the chemistry between Choi Tae Joon (Who Joon) and Choi Sooyoung (Lee Geunyoung) is!! They make us feel so single pringle while reminding us of how amazing and strengthening love is and I'm not complaining. I also adore the comedic elements & tactics employed in this drama, most of which is basically the director indirectly telling you through his direction, "Yes, I know it's cringy as well so let's all laugh and cringe together."
Anything more and I will be subtly moving into spoiling this series so before I do that, I want to tell those who have second doubts about watching this kdrama to throw those hesitations aside and get straight to watching the episodes. I promise it'll be an enjoyable yet unforgettable ride with the cast & crew who've worked relentlessly on this series. Soon you'll find yourself clinging onto it and not wanting to say goodbye when it all ends because at the end of the day, we humans will never decline a predictable time in life.

In the earlier episode 1, I didn't like the FL as she seems like a person who likes to jump to her own conclusions without getting the facts right like what WJ said.
But subsequent episodes has given me the impression that she is infact a nice person, not cunning at all, to the extend of being bullied by her ex boss.
Another great character is WJ's manager. He is such a gentleman and the way he smiled when looking at the behaviors of WJ and GY.
It is a very light and entertaining drama to watch.
Wishing all the episodes are being released all together :)

A good drama to watch
I've loved this drama from the beggining to ending! Is really good and much more likeable than the chinese movie.
The main leaders have a good chemestry, but more important they are really good actors.
It was my first time seeing Choi Tae Joon acting and I become his fan!
One of the things that made me love this show is because the relashionship between the main characters is much more realistic than other in other dramas, they take time to develop the relationship and the reason they fall in love is because they get to know each other while they live together.
Sorry i don't want to offend nobody but this drama on the other hand shows how korean idols fans behavior is so unbelievable with their idols because they don't love them as singers or actors, or both, but only are worried about their private lifes and look. And for me as an european is strange. Here we like an actor or singer just because their skills, nothing more. We don't care if they have a girlfriend, or if they lie about their age or something like that.
This drama also show us how a star can fall because their fans.... It's pretty a good drama like Road to Rebirth, a chinese one of the same genre!
Certanly I will rewatch this again!

Nothing special
This was a nice enough drama. If you need to spend 16 hours with no intellectual challenge, no original story lines, no violence or horror, and a fairly bland cast of characters. this will suit you just fine. This sounds like harsh condemnation, but it isn't - sometimes an innocuous rom-com is just what you need to spend some time with. But don't have great expectations of this. At the end I didn't love any of the characters and was happy to let them pass out of my life with no regret. There are better things to watch, but not much as bland.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
It turned out to be weak and boring.
What can I say.... I expected a bang 💥 but it was just a puf! The drama turned out to be bland and below my expectations. I was convinced that it will be something funny with some twists and arguments between antagonist leads. But nothing like that happened. Clearly the producers had something better in mind than what came out. So I married an anti-fan had a good background and good start, but I think they went wrong with the selection of actors. In my opinion, another duo would pull this drama up.I admit that in the begininning I liked the drama as it's a cute little romantic comedy pleasant to watch 😇 But when I went further into the drama, the less interest I had in it. The anty-fan figure - Lee Geun Young - was too weak, Sooyoung was too gentle. This was a rebelious character who shouldn't have shown feelings towards male lead so early in the story. Eun Ha-Won from "Cinderella and The Four Knights" would be a better fit here or Oh Yeon Seo from "Korean Odyssey" 😅😬
I really liked Choi Tae Joo in Suspicious Partner but unfortunately, the actor did not manage to play the leading role well. 🙊 Hoo Joon was quite interesting and could have been something bigger but for me the spart was missing. The idea of superstar and fame also weren't convinving at all 😐
The only character I actually liked was Choi Jae Joon a.k.a. JJ. He is a strong character who knows what he wants. Although JJ is bossy and headstrong, it suits him. The character fully convinces me that this is who he is .... AND I LOVE IT. Not always good characters are the best charactrs in the drama 😊

Simple, but a bit disappointing
I was waiting for this drama to come out and was very excited, because I loved the movie "So I married an Anti-fan" with Park Chanyeol. That movie was light, simple but very lovely and while there were a lot of comedic scenes the whole movie until the ending was beautifully filmed and I loved the whole plot of it.When it comes to the 2021 drama of So I married an anti-fan... It's a bit disappointing. I have to admit, the first half of the series were pretty good, made me excited to wait for the next episodes... and then it went downhill. Many important parts were over-rushed and some just disappeared and lost it's meaning. Main lead girl - at first I could relate to her - she was annoyed at everyone and sassy and did what she wanted, but in the last episodes - it was kind of pathetic. She becomes a very one-dimensional character and there is not so much u can add to that. The guy - he does things that he doesn't have to do as well and I'm just disappointed that they chose to do the last episodes like that. It's as if the last few episodes were written by a completely different writer or producer... The plot doesn't make sense, main guy does whatever non-sensical illogical things that he doesn't even have to do, BUT IT'S THE CLIMAX OF THE WHOLE DRAMA, SOMETHING HAAAAS TO GO "WRONG"... and while some cliche dramas make it seem cute or make it make sense... this one doesn't. It's as if they had to do it because it was the climax of the story, but not because it was logical or added something to it.
Don't want to spoil it, but if you're looking for a drama with a good and original ending - that's not it, sis. It gets very cliche at the end(and not in a cute and beautiful cliche way) - I honestly couldn't watch last episode not cringing. They made the ending so awful that the whole drama that I kind of liked before the last episode got ruined for me. All the romance got washed away because it was put in front of u so bluntly and without any shame.
Now, for the positive things, because although I really hate the ending... I fell in love with Choi Soo Young. She's such a great actress - beautiful as hell and of course - I loved her acting(last episodes were not hers as an actress fault) and she made it seem so simple and beautiful. Really memorable actress that I now will remember and watch all of her other upcoming dramas. Choi Tae Joon - it was my first drama that I watched with him as a main lead guy. Yep, he's charming and I really felt the chemistry between the main lead actors. They were really cute together, so if you're a sucker for cute romantic scenes between the main leads then it's a must to watch! They did a really great job.
SO, SHOULD YOU WATCH IT?
- Yes. Give it a chance. Ending might disappoint you, but you will enjoy this light and simple drama for sure. It's great for ppl who want something simple but cute and adorable with not too much drama or cliffhangers,
WOULD I REWATCH IT?
- probably no. At least, not for a while. The ending made me mad a bit, so as I'm writing it I'm still feeling pretty pissed at the way they decided to end it. But if later I decide to rewatch it - it will be because of the cute romantic scenes between the main couple.

mediocre and cringey at best
Overly cringey and the plot is so poorly written. I've watched a ton of romcoms and have all the tropes memorised by heart, but this one is really not it. There is not much character development and the issues and obstacles they face as a couple are so backwards like a drama filmed in 2005.The second leads' characters were horrible and annoying, I did not sympathise with them at all, not to mention the ridiculous amount of similar flashbacks. Think they didn't choose the cast very well, there's not much sense of chemistry and the characters just turned out underwhelmingly stale. I hardly ever not recommend a stereotypical romcom bcos I love the genre sm but this was just so boring.

This Could Have Been So Much Better
This drama was filmed back in 2018/19 and kept on the shelf until mid 2021. I don't know why it was kept in cold storage for so long, but I suspect that the producers thought they had made a bit of a lemon and hoped it might improve with age. It didn't.Choi Tae-joon stars as musician Hoo Joon is actually quite good in the role considering what he had to work with - an idol with not much personality and the usual icy demeanour. Choi Soo Young stars as Lee Geun-young. Geun-young should have been such a strong character, a reporter who was unfairly fired from her job and victimised by Hoo Joon's fans, instead she was just limp, excepting abuse and constant poor treatment.
The second lead characters were just awful, Huang Chan Sung as JJ, an abusive partner to In-Hyung (Han Ji An), a idol hopeful and full time sad sack.
There are so many ways that this drama could have written, a straight up comedy, or address the issues of domestic violence, or the craziness of the whole idol system - equal parts worship and then just as quickly condemning and ostracising. So much potential wasted.
