It stars Lee Je Hoon as Lee Soo Yeon who's straight laced and by the book character is matched with Chae Soo Bin as the stubbornly impetuous Han Yeo Reum. All of the complaints I read about the drama were about Han Yeo Reum, and how much people hated her, but I didn't have a problem with her character at all. I think her character is frustratingly ambitious on purpose in order to disturb Soo Yeon's futile attempt at having a quiet and routine worklife. Of course their conflicts lead to some great chemistry and I loved the way the story between them developed. I was a fan Lee Je Hoon in "Signal", but this is my first time seeing him as a romantic lead. I also loved Chae Soo Bin in "I Am Not a Robot", so it was great to see her in another romance, and she did not disappoint me. Together they had cute and comedic moments as well as heartbreaking dramatic moments, and even when parts of the story were weak, their character development was strong.
As for the supporting cast there were characters that were favorites, some who were underutilized, and some who were boring as hell. My favorites in the supporting cast were definitely Kim Kyung Nam as Oh Dae Ki and Lee Soo Kyung as Na Yeong Joo of the security team, who's chemistry was entertaining enough to deserve their own spinoff show. I thought Lee Dong Gun was great, although almost typecast in his role, but because his storyline was compartitively weak I felt like his talent was a little bit wasted. I also wanted to know much more about Mr. Jang who I feel like never got enough screentime for being such a huge part of the story. Then there was Kim Jee Soo as Yang Seo Koon, who seemed like a character I would like in the beginning, but she turned out to be so boring that I'm still not quite sure about anything involving her character. Also, because so much of this drama revolves around work, there's a pretty good ensemble cast feel among the airport staff, which helps make the random airport stories seem less disjointed.
For me, the weakest parts of the drama was the internal airport drama between management, which was too vague to care about, and took up too much time. There are also parts of Soo Yeon's backstory that I wish were better explained, but I still think the parts they did focus on were well done as far as drivng the story and his motivation. With the short episode format there was always enough in each episode to keep me curious and make me want to keep watching. By the end, the story felt like it was definitely rushed, but all the parts of the story that I cared about were resolved (although I'm still not sure if the very end was an artistic choice or an emergency decision).
Would I rewatch this? Yes. I think the chemistry between the main couple is what carries this show, more than the general story, so I would probably still enjoy it with a second viewing.
Overall, "Where Stars Land " isn't going to make it to my favorites list, but it's much better than some of the mediocre dramas I forced myself to finish this year. I recommend giving it a chance, especially if you are a romance fan. You may find out that under it's unassuming appearance is a drama with a spark of something extroadinary.

First of all, I will be honest that almost dropped this show watching the first two episodes, because I thought it would be one of the trending "relationship-between-human-and-robot" stories. However, I returned to this show after I was unexpectedly spoiled by YouTube and realized my guesses were wrong. This show focused on human relationships rather than real-life problems that happen in airports. Typical plots in airport dramas such as airplane accidents and troublesome passengers were covered, but briefly. Other than the relationship between the top two, the security couple, the manager couple, the lonely friend, some stressful bosses were covered.
The con reasons I gave 7/10 overall for this drama are the following:
- There was nothing deep or surprising. Basically, some ruined relationships in the past were fixed with some gangsters involved. They could have been fixed easily by simply communicating.
- Too many unique characters, and some were irrelevant to the story. Scenes like witnessing a husband cheating, workplace rumors, and relationship with some dark forces... these incoherent incidents messed up the main plot.
- Ending sucked. All those emotional struggles surrounding his disability became unnecessary in the end, because no one cared about it including him in the end right?
Like it said during the show, everyone is unique and have different views and opinions, despite working at a place where they serve customers who only care about themselves, because it's an airport. You can think of each other as "someone passing by in your life", and you will eventually forget about the encounter. I really liked this message.
It was really heartwarming to watch, with the help of some great OSTs. They really matched the theme of this show. However, it all ends up to this feeling, as if I rid on a ferris wheel instead of a roller coaster. Everyone carried stresses in the middle, but they all got along in the end.

Sweeeeeeeeetest Drama
Where Stars LandFinished on 11 July 2020
I watched a bollywood mv of this drama on youtube and it looked so sweet that I decided to watch the drama.
And now I love this drama! (And it's every main character.)
First of all, this is the most sweeeeeeeeeeeetest drama I have ever watched. It is sweet and sad, like sugar with salt of tears. Just wonderful!
The plot summary above makes it seem like the story of hero and heroine is secondary and the stories of people on the airport are the main concept. Nope. The hero heroine are the main characters of this story, the rest is there to support them. While the story of our hero Lee So Yeon and heroine Han Yoo Ruem goes on constantly, each episode has a new problem at the airport for the employees to work on.
And it doesn't get boring in any way. If only, it makes the drama better.
I have never been to an airport, because I or anyone close to me had never been on a plane. But if I were to start travelling in planes someday, I would understand the people there a little. The lives of people working in airports, I kinda understand them now.
The heroine, Han Yoo Ruem: She is one of the best kdrama heroine I have ever seen! She did everything I wanted her to do, and nothing I expected of her due to my having watched 50+ kdrama heroines.
Yes, she is a bit annoying in the first one or two episodes, but she learns quickly. You would understand her reasons later. Give her time. (Though I wish they had shown more of her past.)
She isn't the typical kdrama heroine. She doesn't go around asking annoying questions to hero. She is brilliantly understanding. And I admire and respect her for doing what is right despite all the opposition she gets from people around her. She gives me courage and inspiration. I wish I was more like her. Braver about speaking my mind and doing what is right no matter what.
Hero, Lee Seo Yeon: He is a quiet and mature man, exactly the kind of heroes I like to see, and I usually don't see in kdramas. He rarely raises his voice, but can get scary for others pretty quickly with his demeanour.
Anddddd he really really loves Han Yoo Ruem (Another reason that makes him likable). You can see it in the way he looks at her. The actor, Lee Je Hoon, did a great job of portraying Lee Seo Yeon's emotions. I don't think any other actor could have done justice to this character. A big thank you to whoever selected Lee Je Hoon for this role. (I wonder why we don't see more of such a great actor?)
He is also not a typical kdrama hero. He is kinda aloof sometimes, but he isn't arrogant. He doesn't have a big ego. If something is in his heart, he doesn't hide it out of embarrassment or something. His smiles are rare, but precious. He almost looks like an anime character. He behaves like one too (the way he moves and talks).
Sometime before watching this drama, I happened to read a book which had a similar character as Lee Seo Yeon, so that made me sympathise more with him. (Can't mention the book, as it can give away spoilers). I cried a little for him from time to time, and for them both.
I am gonna give some spoilers here, so please scroll down till you can see 'spoiler ends here' written in capital.

My favourite scenes were:
When heroine asks him if he likes her, and he says yes. I was also expecting him to say no, as most kdrama heroes do.
When he is going through the hallways of office quickly while covering his arm with his jacket, dodging people. Although this drama had many heartbreaking scenes, this scene was the most heartbreaking one for me. And in the background they were playing, "Someday in your life, walking in different ways. Can someone come and take me to my way." He was trying to go home, and when he couldn't, he tried to hide, to find a place to disappear from people's eyes.
When he tells her he is breaking.
Everytime he saves her.
When he beats up that guy for her. He was feeling guilty and he cried later. But he loved her a lot and I think he was feeling more guilty about not being able to protect her and being by her side.
When heroine tells him that she would be his arm and leg. My heart melted there. Hero's expressions at that time, mirrored my own.
When her compass gets stuck to his arm.
That robot scene was so cuuute, when he almost collides into her while running away from the robot.
My favourite episode was the one where that philipine foreigner refuses to go because he needs to see his baby.
So the spoilers end here.

Other characters were given a good writing too.
I particularly liked Oh Dae Gi and Na Yeong Jo's character. They were funny at times. These are two security members who work in a team. Na Yeong Jo is curt and often cold and scary. I wished they showed her past story too. So that we can understand. Oh Dae Gi is a softie totally. This one actor doesnt often show up on our screens too despite the talent.
Seo In Woo, actor Lee Dong Gun was annoying sometimes. But I understood him by the end. I am glad they showed his side of the story.
Yang Seo Geon, their team manager, was a good character to see on screen. I wish we say more characters like her.
The drama dealt with everyone's story. They showed what everyone was like outside the office but they did it inside.
Their Director Kwon, he was an interesting character too. An ambitious man, who exchanged his name for a title. His character told me to never run after titles. Because then you loss your own identity. Now you are somewhere someone or something's director.
And it's ost! This drama's ost Mystic World is one of the best things about this drama! It suited well for whatever scene they played it for. Mystic World is now in my playlist.
Admittedly, this drama was not completely realistic, and had some flaws. Like some things were left unexplained. But it still left me with good feelings. There are heart warming stories in it, and there are heartbreaking stories too. I would definitely rewatch it after some time. I loved it.
Here are some of my favourite quotes:
"Why is that important? It could take a person three weeks, three years, or three seconds to suddenly start liking someone."
Lee Seo Yeon
"We are not much different from these passengers. Just like how they pass through here to get to somewhere, we are here temporarily before we move on. There is no need to attach a meaning to it."
Said by a worker at airpot on his last day before retirement. This quote made me think a lot. Maybe he was talking about life.

A very heart-warming drama.
This is a Hidden Gem...Why nobody talks about this drama in social media? I've never seen a single review of this drama in Bangladesh Community.
I love this drama very much. Every single character is awesome. The chemistry between two main leads is heart touching. But rather than the chemistry I loved the style of the story telling very much.
I loved it. This drama is so underrated. This is so disappointing. This drama deserves much more hype.
I'm suggesting this drama to all those drama-lovers, who loves slow but heart warming drama like Chocolate, Run On, A Piece of Your Mind etc.
Guys, this drama is worth watching.

Lacked detail and depth
It felt rushed, especially the relationship between Soo Yeon and Yeo Reum. It didn't seem like there was any emotion connection or struggle then bam, they're in a relationship. Im honestly left wondering the entire time, what does Yeo Reum see in this guy? Their whole dynamic is very awkward. The resolutions of day the day storylines within the airport are also fairly disappointing and a bit boring. Apart from the episode with the foreign actor, a lot of the airport cases were very textbook kdrama and didn't make use of the airport setting well.
I wouldn't really bother with this one.

The story teach me that no matter what happen or what my partner is. I should accept it. Because that what you called LOVE. And also, the main character and also those supporting actors was literally FANTASTIC. I was amazed on how they deliver their lines and how they act. GOSH!!! But the last episode. I'm just curious about the leading man which is Lee Soo-yeon, I want to see his face after 1 yr. And also, what happen in his brother and Mr. Jo. Hope that this drama serial have a SEASON 2!!!and I'm willing to wait!

The plot is OK, and the actors did a good job. i didn't particularly care for the lead couple, but that's a matter of personal taste (I'm really tired of emotionally constricted men and "I can't do anything right" women). I did love the airport security couple, they were played to perfection. I hope there is more of Kim Kyung-Nam and Lee Soo-Kyung in the future. Ro Woon also created an delightful "guy who won't get the girl" character. (If you think that's a spoiler, you haven't watched enough K-drama!) So no complaints about the cast. The writing was engaging, and the plot was promising and almost certainly planned to have a better ending.
I didn't notice the music especially, which means it was at least not annoying. But overall, I think the best character was the airport cleaning robot, at least he got some decent closure at the end - even if it was pretty tacky.
My apologies to the cast, the writer and the director, who got really screwed by whomever decided to chop this off.

Slow, and did they get a standin for the ML in the last episode!?!!
The concept was good, the acting was good, but it was just too slow for me. The main actor was awesome, kind of expressionless, but the first time you see him crack a small smile, you are hooked. She was a complete mess at the very beginning, and I was concerned about that, but she finally got a clue. But the ending?!?!?! Did they change the ending and had the actor moved on to another project, so they had to use a stand in? I can't believe how much that bothered me. And WHY do they separate totally? If a man just basically fell off the face of the earth, I'd probably have to think about moving on.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
At first when you watch it, the first couple episodes are really. Really. Annoying. Some characters introduced are overbearing/really unrealistic - but the most overbearing thing about this drama was the female lead. It’s 2018, and she was relatively stupid, weak and honestly unrealistic. I guess the writers wanted to make her seem cute/ relatable - but most of her actions was either cringe or infuriating. I was really disappointed since I LOVED the actress who played her chatacter. However - her character DOES get explained and there is a reason why she is written like that. But it isn’t immediately explained or shown.
The story is also written quite badly. But I guess their motif of “nothing is a coincidence” and their themes surrounding fate could be a reason for the story being written like the way it was.
Overall - the show had great potential. The actors/actresses picked for this drama was great, but the story, the writing and direction of this drama... it could’ve been better.

The female may seem a bit annoying at first but that's part of her unsecure character and she gets better in time.
The male is sweet but kinda dumb at times, I wanted to scream at him through the screen.
The disability plot was a good idea but it wasn't represented well in my opinion.
The romance was heartwarming and sweet and the side couple was really cute too.
The Osts are really good too and made the romance scenes even better.
The only complain I have is the ending, not that it was bad but because it was incredibly rushed, it will would have been better if certain things had been explained. Even so I liked this drama and didn't feel like I wasted my time, I rec it but only to watch one time, I don't really plan on rewatching it.

Sooo annoying
This is first Kdrama I felt all characters are so much annoying and also I thought the direction team is completely brainless, especially the ML and FL. Most annoying thing is everyone in the airport they act opposite to the rules daily for one and another reason and without any action or punishment they are easily forgiven. I felt airport is like a fish market, anyone can come with weapon and can hurt someone and can easily escape. Out of so many such incidents I still don’t remember the airport security caught some one in the action. FL is the most annoying, she always commits mistakes and she doesn’t even know what’s her mistake was and doesn’t even wants to change her attitude. ML is the most dumb one, he wants to keep his disability secret but he always used to do something which will expose his secret, even though he has level 1 disability he wants FL as his girlfriend(while proposing her he didn’t thought his disability may become burden to her but at the ending episodes that thing suddenly came to his mind) and at the ending he knows he is going to die but yet he wants FL to love him for time being, he had no idea about what may happens to her after he dies.My final say is each and every scene is senseless and meaningless, you may get confused that is the direction team brainless or you for watching this drama.
