A slice of airport live with a surprising element
8.5/10 is my rating. This is a 2018 South Korean romantic drama series with 32, 35 minute, episodesHan Yeo-reum (Chae Soo-bin) struggled hard together a job at Incheon International airport. However, her clumsiness and tendency to act on her emotions has caused some of her supervisors to look down on her ability as an employee. Yeo-reum has a series of encounters with a man who has amazing strength and agility and saves her from having a fatal accident. When Yeo-reum is transferred to a new team she winds up being supervised by Leo Soo-yeon (Nam Da-reum), the man who saved her. Soo-yeon prefers to keep a low profile but events keep happening that reveal his unusual abilities. He realizes that Yeo-reum is often misunderstood and begins helping her by fixing her mistakes and encouraging her to be confident. In turn, although she has first hand experience with Soo-reun’s unusual strength, she keeps it secret which earns his trust. With a slice of life of a passenger services team, there is rarely a dull day at the airport. Will understanding lead to love for the somewhat unlikely pair? What happened to Soo-yeon that resulted in his exceptional ability?
Spoiler 🚨 Overall I liked this very much. It was well acted and had enough interesting things going on in the airport all the time to keep you engaged. The main story was well paced and believable.. You got to know the whole cast of main characters and enjoy several side relationships. I also thought it was unique and interesting that there was something very special about his abilities. I don’t know South Korean culture well enough to know if this accurately portrays the way some look on disabilities. In the United States I know we like to think we are further along but from first-hand experience I can say that people do still discriminate in the workplace. The toughest disabilities to deal with are the hidden disabilities. Because the male lead used a assistive device his disability was hidden and, with the device, he had super human strength. That became one plot point - him trying to hide his different ability but still act in situations where superior strength was helpful. The backstory on him and his brother was very interesting and they gave you just enough detail as it went along so that you got little bits that kept you guessing and forming predictions. I liked their boss because she was everything I envision in a good supportive boss and I thought the way the female lead flourished under her direction was very accurate in the way a good leader can bring out the best in people. Where I felt it lacked a little was towards the end, and that might be a bit of cultural misunderstanding. To me it seemed like he was a little bit old not to get that if he just gave it a year or so to be back in the wheelchair that he would have the rest of his life to experience all the things he wanted to. It felt really selfish to me that he was willing to die because, at that point, there were so many people around him that would be hurt by that. I was glad when he finally made the decision to do what he needed to do and I usually don’t like when they go away somewhere for a while but in this case it made sense. The one thing about that which was not consistent was he didn’t even contact her during his time away. As much as he hated being away from her for even a day it was hard to buy he would go that length of time with little contact. Then in the scene when they finally reunite it just shows the back of his head and I would’ve liked to of have seen the expression on his face after reuniting with her. I really like the second guy in this one and I found it very admirable that he was willing to have any role in her life even as just her friend. There were several times when second guy could’ve been selfish and made it difficult for the male lead but he cared about her enough to take care of the lead guy even when it would’ve been more advantageous for him to take his chance with her. The ending felt a little rushed after we had gone through so much with him being willing to die. There were also some loose ends with some of the other couples where it felt like there should’ve been a happy ending there as well. Those that prefer a more realistic ending may be OK with these things I mentioned. For me I like well tied up and perfectly happy because I watch these as an escape from adulting and all the difficulties to go with it. Still recommend this just be prepared for some sad moments.

Drama start in a amazing way , everything is just up to the mark emotions ,love story ..Basically I think this drama tells about the lives of employee at the airport what they faced at daily bases in the airport ,what type of situation come across, how to handle the tough situations ,though things are going wrong still sometime with a lowering of head we have to accept because it is duty and boss is always right .The story don't get bored so the writer put two different love story ,one with love triangle ..One side emotional love and the other side is funny as well as cute love. I love the lead actor acting too much then second couple funny love story ...Some dialogues of the drama I like it.
1.I like the manager acting as well as dialogue that what happened to kids nowadays that they did not have any effect about their boss saying ,second atleast give answer about what am I saying.
2. It looks 3 seconds to like someone
Through her father he connected with her.
3. I don't know anything about you ,but all I know tonight and right know...
As drama started I though lead actor shown as iron man or someone come from a star . But they take the story in another way but that is way is also good. They shows that lead actor connected with the lead actress through her father but they didn't show what happened to her father when he told her that how he like her and when she asked about her father so he said slowly slowly he will tell her about him but that part they didn't show.
End part make me so disappointed that why they didn't shows the lead actor face as it look like they wrap up the shooting fast .Look like a incomplete story.

This is such a green flag couple.
Honestly this drama deserves higher rating, at least an 8.It was very interesting and light, the actors did a pretty good job and it was entertaining.
I've seen people say that the drama was boring, but I disagree. But it might be because I enjoy seeing stories beside the main one.
The main couple was such a green flag, they talked with each other so there aren't misunderstandings between them. The scens where they talk about they're feeling where very enjoyable and I liked the most the interaction between the two.
The second couple was very enjoyable and I wished they would had more scenes together.
In the end if you like light romace with lots of sweet scenes you should watch it.
If you don't like different stories beside the main one like: the main characters manage different encounters with other people, and want to see only the story "that matters" then don't watch this kdrama.

Great drama <3
Wth is with that low rating. Is it a perfect drama? No. But it hit all the right beats for me (romantic or otherwise) so I love it. I only became aware of this actor in the Taxi driver drama (although I watched one of his movies without realizing it was him) but he's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. He was a little awkward here, but I attest that more to the character than his acting skills. All actors delivered a great performance, and although there were loose ends and some missing logic (in particular, the disconnect between real-world physics and what he can do with his modified limbs) but I loved it regardless. I love, too, that the show tried to highlight some of the struggles faced by the disabled.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Security Couple is the one you'll be rooting for
I came into this excited for a slice of life romcom, and came away bored out of my mind and annoyed by the story and the acting of the leads. The leads have one expression throughout the show and it's "worried", by episode 8 I couldn't look at them anymore. The FL is truly incompetent at her job and helpless, the ML is dumb and wooden instead of reserved and clever.I watched this to the end for the scenes of how an airport is run, which I found fascinating and a good backdrop. As well as for the secondary characters, who were so much better than the leads, that I watched mainly for their stories, treating the leads as a nuisance and skipping their scenes.
Don't waist your time, it's a flop.

Honestly, this drama had so much potential but sadly it didn’t make it. Where stars land has so many lot holes, to the point where things don’t make sense or add up, plus the portrayal of disabled individuals was a disappointment. The acting was great, especially for the main actor, I loved how he was able to show how one side of his body was limp. However, I hated how they depict disabled people to be hated by society, not being able to find love or even a job because they were disabled. This drama alienated disabled individuals instead of explaining or trying to educate viewers of how they feel to be isolated and taunted. The whole drama was just showing how the main actor only found love and a job after obtaining support devices instead of showing how others in his life accepted him for being in his condition and that really frustrated me. It didn’t show any support to disabled individuals but rather taunted them even more about how they’ll never be accepted.
The relationship of every single character in this drama was not explored well enough, which made the whole story feel empty. Th background stories aka the building blocks for each character we’re not explained especially things about their parents. The fox bride star restaurant was shown in specific scenes, but not once was there an explanation to show how this linked to the characters apart from them just regularly visiting, or what it had to do with the main actresses father.
The only pro about this drama was how informative it was about how an airport runs and the challenges the staff have to face on a daily basis. Apart from that, I am highly disappointed in this drama and cannot understand what was going through the story director’s head when they made this unsupportive drama.

Positives:
Acting was great, and the airport theme gives us a glimpse into the difficulties and challenges that occurs everyday.
Negatives:
Some of the character's actions or behavior will frustrate the hell out of you. Many unnecessary subplots and scenes for things that were not further explored or explained. Overemphasis on MC's secret.
Seems like the drama wanted to tackle many issues, but ended up doing none. It's a decent drama if you have nothing better to watch, but doesn't leave you with a memorable or lasting impression.

This was a show that was fairly good, but could have been so much better if the writers simply hadn’t bitten off more than they could chew (or more accurately: they didn’t need to add so many unnecessary ingredients [subplots] otherwise it would have been fine)Things they could have done better:
- Inn-woo’s ‘redemption’ or even just his whole character could be deleted tbh (he is so freaking annoying ??? literally, what is his beef?????)
- secondary couple was paced too slowly, and needed more development!!
- no gangster subplot pls, why did we spend our last 2 episodes on this??
- so many subplots were never touched on (Yeo-reum’s father, Ms. Han’s [their boss] history with Su-yeon, just general backstory)
- we never saw the full lead-up to the scene where Su-yeon stopped that car from hitting her, like where did that car even come from???? why was he there??? so many questions
- what was Yeo-reum’s big secret that her high school bully was blackmailing her with???
- so much potential was sacrificed for ‘dramatic’ action scenes in my opinion, such a shame
What the show actually needed was more episodes. It would have worked better if it had 18 episodes rather than 16. I hate when dramas attempt to wrap up as many loose ends as they can at the last minute, so dissatisfying.
And man, the second lead syndrome is strong in this one. Go Eun-Seob my boyyyyy
He’s so attractive and kind, like how has she never considered??? Give him to me if you won’t have him lol
I'm glad he’s the main lead in ‘Extraordinary You’ (2019), he deserves all the love
Meanwhile, the ending was sweet but was also such a cop out. As much as I'm a hopeless romantic and love happy endings, this one just seemed a little off to me?? Aside from the obvious (we didn't even see his face!! come on) I wish we got to see him in a wheelchair even temporarily for a long period of time as he learns to love himself and accept his disability with Yeo-reum’s help. I felt this was yet another thing that could have been handled better.
But at least the main relationship itself was nice. There were no stupid forced breakups or big misunderstandings, which is already a big plus for me. All their internal drama stemmed from his disability but they worked to get through it together. And even the angst as he continued to pull away from her, at least we (as an audience) can understand his intentions.
Another thing I liked was the setting. As a lover of travel and airports, I was SO down to see a drama set in an airport. And I believe they covered the ‘airport’ aspect pretty good, with some interesting day to day incidents.
So to summarise:
- loved the characters (except In-woo)
- loved the setting
- main couple was cute
But it was just a waste of potential, with questions left unanswered and plot-lines that never needed to be added. Otherwise my rating would be much higher.
On the whole, a 7.5.

for me this drama show the most realistic daily life in airport and people behind it. As someone who travel a lot and someone once worked in customer service, i saw most of the scene in this series relate back to what happened to me before in real life. and that the reason why i said this series actually not just a simply tv drama but very realistic in its own way.
how they make my emotion become roller coaster, and how people move from their past and become themselves.. i always think that life is not about finding yourself but it is about creating yourself, and this series actually portrayed that a lot. and there is a lot to learn from this series also.
in term of casting, well they all managed to play their character very well that you'll even feel annoyed with main female lead at first but then you realize that is how human are. in this series, they have like 1000 of human character in this world being portrayed here and the cast manage to play that very well.
in term of ost, to be honest i feel like didn't really heard any music.. hahaha
as for conclusion, this is the drama that i will re-watch when i'm in the bad mood or down and trying to lift up my life or looking back to myself or what i want.
but the ending sucks though, like they found a stand in for the main lead !! at least show us his face instead of arm/hand even though the whole story are about his hand,.. hahahah

My Comfort Drama
I'm writing this review after not seeing this drama for a few years, but it still pops up in my head all the time. I'm always looking for something similar but honestly, I find it quite unique and I haven't found one that quite matches it yet. I love the setting, and the secondary characters don't leave me feeling bored like I sometimes feel in other romance dramas. I love the small bit of fantasy that is in this, and the chemistry between the leads in my opinion is just top tier. While I wouldn't put this as my top favorite drama, it is one of my comfort dramas and I do recommend it if you're looking for some lightweight romance and lightweight problems. Lil action here and there, little cheesy-ness (but not too cheesy). It hit just right.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
