Overall [10] - The story is (so far) an epic mix of creepy, comedy, and mystery, with very fitting music backing it up every step of the way. By creepy, I do not mean scary in any way, so no worries if you have an aversion to scary stuff. I think Sakurai Sho is absolutely amazing in this role; his smile and voice fit the idea of a happy yet slightly twisted person so well that this drama really did catch me off guard. Not only is the story different from what I expected, but Sakurai's character is played so well that I somehow get the feeling that this series is going to have me rooting for a killer or something, and I normally don't go for the bad guys! But that's just a guess! If you're thinking about watching this series, do it! You wont be disappointed. It's quite different, but in a good way.
Story [10] - The opening episode to this series was amazing, imo. Based on the description of the show, I expected something more Onizuka-esque (GTO), or even Sakuragi Kenji-esque (DragonZakura) just with a more "at home" setting rather than being based in school. I was extremely surprised by the opening episode though, and pleasantly so. There is a mystery built around Sakurai's character from the very beginning that is built upon throughout the episode. There were some funny moments but the creepy-ness of this story is really what stands out for me. It is so different from any of the other student based J-dramas I've seen, but it's also amazingly done.
Acting/Cast [10] - Sakurai Sho is absolutely amazing in this role, period. When he smiles and says "????" "(iine~)" it is wonderfully creepy. He very much seems like a happy yet twisted maniac, and I can't wait to see how that plays out! The rest of the cast seems well chosen as well. The family dynamic is quite interesting and I look forward to seeing the rest of the cast play their roles out. Uragami Seishu also played his role very well imo, especially considering that this is only his 2nd(?) role. With a lot of the focus on him during the first episode, you can see his talent despite his young age. He portrayed emotions very well in a few particular scenes (which I won't mention for the sake of not spoiling this awesome episode).
Music [10] - Music isn't something I normally take extreme notice of in dramas. Normally I feel that it goes nearly unnoticed; the shows be awkward without it, but it also doesn't catch my attention. This is NOT the case in Kazoku Game. The music felt to me as if it sort of took on the role of an additional character, an awesome and necessary additional character. Without the music, this show would be completely different. The music really sets the tone for the scenes in a very good way, adding comedy to otherwise standard and/or plain scenes and adding the sense of creepy-ness to others. For me, this is something I've only seen happen in movies (rarely even Japanese ones), so I'm glad this drama is able to make such an impact.
Rewatch Value [10] - I can easily see myself watching this series over, multiple times even.

3° Temporada Especial de Drama: Quando Eu Era A Mais Bela

I thought this drama/special (call it how you want) was really good, because it talked about something important in our society. I thought it would be light, but it was actually serous. Yet it was also beautiful and gives hope, and that's what makes it beautiful.
Lee Jong Suk and Jun Ye Seo's acting are also really good and the ost is really beautiful.
I also think it has a good rewatch value, because it can make everybody understand new things :)
The story is not only about illness, nor love. It's about relationships between people, and other deep values of our society.
I advise you to watch it, but be ready for the feels!

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, walking into this drama, other than that it supposedly had an amazing bromance storyline. As a huge lover of all things "bromantic", I was intrigued by the prospect, enough so that I put aside my qualms about there being zero non-bro romance. And let me tell you, I am so glad that I did!
I don't typically watch high school dramas, and have never watched one that was so school-centric. 90% of the storyline involved the school, and while some of you may scoff that that was surprising to me, given that the title of the show is, in fact, School, I do wish that they had delved a little more outside of the school interactions. If only to break up the slightly repetitious storyline.
This drama wasn't meant to be marathoned, I don't think. When watching your 10th episode in a single sitting, it's glaringly obvious how many times they reuse some of the same plot points and how the only characters who are given room to grow are the categorized "misfits". The other characters, who should have been the normal bunch, never are given that chance. They stay catty and arrogant throughout, and while we are given so much motivation for why the criminal element of the show acts the way they do, characters who should have been regular students seemed far more sociopathic in their actions than a character who beat a guy til his leg broke.
If you are going into this strictly for the bromance, much like I did, then be prepared to wait. And wait. And then wait just a little bit more. It took a really long time before it got to the bromance I had anticipated from the beginning. It was an arduous journey to get to that point, and I think even calling it a bromance might be a tad misleading. It runs deeper than that. It's two boys who only ever had each other and how one mistake utterly destroys them, and the story of School is how they tenuously try to pick up the pieces.
The brilliance of this show does lie in the growth, however unfairly they distribute it. If a show can take you from absolutely loathing a character in the beginning to really, really wanting them to succeed in life then you know it's doing something right. And despite it's flaws, School 2013 was brilliant in showcasing the shades of gray and how the way you look at and treat other people doesn't define them as much as it defines what kind of person you are.
All in all, this drama is well worth the time and I defy anyone to watch it and not seriously fall in love with Go Nam Soon. Never has there been a more seemingly-apathetic character who could make you feel so many different things. I promise, give this drama a shot, and you won't be disappointed!

From the beginning, the story has you hooked and curious. It is also constantly moving forward, always presenting you with new situations and twists, as well as providing new ways to see the characters. It also makes you want to know about the characters, and why they are in the situations that they are in. The characters also have plenty of room for development, and do develop well, and are explored fully later.
One great point to note as well is the acting. Now in the western world, sometimes you see artists who can sing and write, but cant act for peanuts. In this its the complete opposite. Each actor from IU to Suzy to Park Jin-young, they all portray their characters well and make each scene memorable.
So overall, i would highly recommend this drama to anyone and would suggest a full marathon session of it, cause this is an amazing watch.

Enjoyed this drama very much. It tells an amazing story- an arduous but worthwhile journey to realize a larger dream. The characters are great. The cast is brilliant. Each one of them- good or bad, even the irredeemable ones, stand out in our minds.
It's hard to say what I feel about the drama without giving spoilers, because there are so many great moments, conversations and scenes that come back to me now. Suffice to say, there's more than one hero in this drama and many memorable characters.
King Sejong is a great king, more human than any Sageuk king I can remember having watched. Chae Yoon is our hero, and he stays strongly in character until the end.
The most charming part of the drama are the many relationships it shows- between King Sejong and Moo Hyul(great rapport, even cute at times), King and Chae Yoon, King and the girls, Pyung and Jung Gi Joon and so on.
One thing you shouldn't expect going into this drama, though, is romance. There isn't much or any really. A hint of it comes from Chae Yoon, but isn't built up or even entertained beyond that.
Our lady, So Yi is smart, emotionally strong and with a very capable head on her shoulders, but her devotion all falls on her King and her cause. There isn't time or space for anything else.
But it doesn't matter really,as viewers, because.. it's all about great story telling and this is a sageuk everyone can watch without getting bored at any point.

Story: The plot had good pacing and twists that made it hard to get bored. The romance was minimal but I kind of expected it due to that being the writers’ style. I think the story lacked more wackiness. I was expecting more laughs, which we didn’t get. I loved the ending!!
Acting/Cast: I don’t know what it is but I haven’t liked any Kang Ji Hwan led dramas. His characters always end up pissing me off in some way. However, he is a solid actor and he pulled off his character well in this. He also had a subtle but cute chemistry with Hwang Jung Eum, who I think needs to change it up because I feel like this character is something shes played before (and the hair!). Her character though wasn’t really incorporated into the plot very well. It felt like she was just there in the background as the token love interest. Because of that, I think it was hard for me to connect with her character. The two characters whom I found most interesting and I sympathized with happened to be the villains. Oh Yoon Ah and Park Sang Min were perfect. As for the supporting characters, there were just too many of them and took away from the mains screen time. The overall chemistry of the cast could have been better in my opinion.
Music: Kind of disappointed cause I loved the Salaryman OST, but in this the music was barely used in a way it would be memorable.
Rewatch: Its rewatchable because of the engaging story but Im not interested in seeing it again just because I didn’t love the characters.
Final thoughts: Didn’t hate it or love it. I dont really think this drama will be memorable in the future for me.

It will be quite long ^^"
[The story]
A very inventive story in my opinion. This kind of story definitely is some fresh air compared to the usual 'impossible romance' story line of historical dramas (it gets better nowadays, I agree).
The first time I read the synopsis, I was a bit reluctant to watch the drama because it seemed really disgusting (what's with eating people's liver ?...) but I decided to give it a try anyway because of the cast and I'm far from regretting it.
Even though there aren't really any suspense, the story is captivating.
All the characters are equally important and you always ask yourself if you really can hate or love any one of them because their character is far from being simple.
The gumiho thingy isn't what's the more important here as the story is more focused on the parents who try to save and protect their beloved child no matter right.
It definitely is a beautiful story in my eyes.
[The cast]
Here comes what has been one of the strong point of this drama. If every characters are important, then every actors was...extraordinary.
Han Eun Jeong (Goo San Daek)and Jang Hyeon Seong (Yun Du Su)were perfect in their roles, and I still can't say which one of them is the good or the evil in this story. They perfectly portrayed their difficult character - especially Jang Hyeon Seong.
As for the child actors, Kim Yoo Jeong (Yeon Yi) and Seo Shin Ae (Cho ok) totally amazed me. They were rather young at this time, and yet they totally stood out next to the adult actors. I'm sure both of them will have a great carrier.
As for Lee Min Ho(Jo Jung Kyu), though he had a supporting role he did very well.
Special mention to Suh Joon Young (Cheon Woo) who won my heart and made me tear even as a mute.
[The Music]
What can I say about the music apart from saying that I'm still playing the OST again and again six months later ? In my eyes, the OST is what made this drama better. I confess I didn't skip some slow parts only because of the music.
[Rewatch Value]
I only gave a 7 for the rewatch value because though it's an absolutely awesome drama, once you've watched it, then there isn't any reason to watch it again except for the amazing cast.
The story in itself doesn't call for a rewatch and I guess that many (which I'm part of) wouldn't have the patience to watch all those chasing/crying/screaming/betraying scenes again when you already know what happens.
I may watch it again later though, if I've forgotten most of what happens.
[What I disliked]
Because even though I loved this drama, I can't deny there are some things I didn't really like.
I don't want to spoil so I won't write them all (there aren't that much anyway)
Some of Goo San Daek's actions are quite...unrealistic. Let's say she could have done things better as a Gumiho and a mother. This didn't bother me that much while watching though, I just realised after. ANd let's say that if she had done what was needed right away, the drama would be groundless.
Oh, and make sure you're volume isn't too high too, because Cho Ok is a character who screams a lot...
I hope this will help :)

I've got to say that I didn't enjoy this as much as the other people did. But that's maybe because I'm a guy and these ''cute'' storys aren't really my cup of tea, I don't know.
First of all, this happened EVERY single time, I always felt like there was somehing missing at the end of an episode. And the flashback scenes were soooooo annoying, it would've been ok if there was less, but there was just too many annoying flashback scenes that was maybe the main reason why I dropped this drama. The acting was okay but could've been better.
You'll enjoy this if you're a fangirl but you'll perhaps not if you're a guy or not a fangirl. Peace.

The story is different, its not your typical Korean drama,it has a variety of genera's. I don't know how they do it but the writers balance it perfectly between comedy, politics, drama, and of course romance! There aren't really any OMG evil antagonists in this story but that's what makes it unique all the characters get along in one way or another, It really gives of the same vibe as the drama Protect The Boss. The Acting and cast are really good! some people choose to ignore this drama because the main guy isn't "handsome" enough, well they're losing out because he is handsome and on top of that portrays his character perfectly, I really cant imagine anyone else playing the part but him. I've seen all the main girls work and I absolutely love her! she shines the best in this drama. The supporting cast is hilarious! its soo good because they all have a side romance which is cute! The music is soooo addicting, it matches with the drama and actually makes it better. I wouldn't rewatch this now but maybe in the near future when i forget everything.
** If you haven't started watching this go now! trust me you wont regret it!!
