Crime Investigation in historical setting is not my cup of tea. It was so boring and too slow.

The Imperial Coroner is a crime investigation drama in a historical setting. I listened to AvenueX's raved review about it, and I like the lead actor Wang Zi Qi, so I checked it out. I watched 6 episodes of it and found it freaking boring. Chinese crime drama, in general, is quite dull, and to have it done in historical drama and dragged to 36 episodes is a bit much.

I found it dull for modern-day crime drama to be dragged to 24 episodes, let alone a historical one. I was unengaged, and I should have known that AvenueX recommendations are usually not to my liking.

The on-screen chemistry between Wang Zi Qi and Su Xiao Tong is not as good as his on-screen chemistry with Wang Yu Wen. I love Wangs in Once We Get Married and currently streaming The Love You Give Me.

I am dropping this drama and would not recommend it if you are not into crime investigation in a historical setting.

I am giving a 5.0 because of the boring script.

Travel back in time to re-discover unspoken confessions

Delving into the first two eps, I can say that it lived up to my expectations or even exceeded it. Excuse me, the moment when sunjae revealed that he had that kind of feeling at first sight with im sol, I was screaming my heart out! So many coincidences. I can already see that taesung will have deeper feelings with im sol. Girl, the chemistry is already there! The visuals are giving and the osts just gives more into the vibe, I can already see myself adding this into one of my favorites if the upcoming eps will not add unnecessary plot. I'm telling you that you'll love this if you like extraordinary you. You don't know how I loved that drama and it feels like I'm back to highschool. It feels more special to me that hyeyoon is the lead, you know she won't disaappoint. Its been so long since hyeyoon has starred in an idol drama and its wooseok's first lead role in a series. Looking forward to the upcoming eps and hoping it won't have a sad ending!

O drama começa com uma mentira , ela casa com o cara (que é um bobinho) mentindo para ele, ele descobre e fica com raiva, ela se faz de vítima (até funciona), ele perdoa e eles voltam com a condição de ela não mentir mais sobre qualquer coisa para ele - ela concorda já escondendo um monte de coisa que não contou, isso nos primeiros 4 episódios. Se não bastasse o que esta escondendo ainda, ela volta a armar coisas e mentir, para ele não descobrir que a menininha que ele lembra é a irmã dela (que ela odeia) e não ela.
Não tem como gostar da protagonista e querer que ela tenha um fim legal, pq apesar de o drama tentar parecer que são mentirinhas do bem, ela comete fraude, estelionato e falsidade ideológica, fazendo parecer que tá tudo bem enganar os outros.

I decided to watch this drama "just because". Man, after watching episodes 1–4, I AM BLOWN AWAY. The pacing is great, the plot is superb, and the chemistry of the characters is top-tier. The female lead is very interesting, to the point that her actions are almost as powerful as they can be. The male lead is fine; his whole set of attributes scream empathy, and it's really nice to see how opposite they are to each other. Everything about this drama is perfection to the core! I can't wait to watch the next episodes and see how this story unfolds. If you're hesitating to watch, don't be. This drama is worth your time. No cap.

Super Ick Age Gap Romance

Having seeing the FL and her unique beauty and charm in a historical drama i thought oh ill watch this and went in blind. I wish i hadnt The age gap here is way too obvious and ick. 18 yrs FFS. What is that about. I wonder if there is a 31yr old man out there sleeping around enjoying his life and can do that for another 8 years and then my now 13yr old will be 21 ooh and if shes lucky she can get with him without experiencing anything much herself but thats okay shes just a girl. That is the conceit and imbalance in these horrible male fantasy romances. Women lapping them up is just hilarious.
The message for boys is hey guys spend your 20s and 30s having a great time have loads of experiences travel work play sleep around let off steam and then you can just marry a 20 yr old girl after all that WHOOP.

The message forGirls just marry an old guy with a job (a good one if your lucky) and give him babies and count yourself lucky. Stupidage gapdramas like this perpetuate the misfuided notion tbatage gap marraiges and romances are normal and desirable. They may be for men (i mean lets face it, its a great deal for the guys) but for women its just imbalance and selling short.

Yet another low mark for Dylan Wang

My last review of a Dylan Wang series upset DW fans but as someone else here pointed out, they generally have a low bar so he gets high marks.

This time I managed more than 8 episodes before giving up, I managed 9. The man simply cannot act. His fan club love his Girly Boy looks but seem blind to his lack of acting ability. It is obvious very early on that this will be a dragged out CGI series. The plot is thin and there are side plots that have no reference to the main story line.

This is just a series for the sake of giving Dylan Wang something to do. Yu Shu Xin was excellent in her role as Orchid and she managed to act the part despite the problem of a male lead who could not. Xu Hai Qiao would have made a much better Dongfang but still gave an excellent performance as Rong Hao.

Yet another Dylan Wang series to be avoided as you will never get back the time you wasted watching it.

After watching just the first episode, the first thing I do was to come here and read reviews about the love-line. Lots of people dropped the drama cause of the love-line. I seriously prefer no love line than having Lu Yao and Bai Youning together, cutting out the BL scenes doesn't mean you must still have a love-line to attract viewers. I actually was looking forward to the drama entirely just for my interest in watching detective/solving genre shows. Luckily I came here first to get my heart prepared.

Btw, I really like the opening song. That rapper is good.

Okay I'm on the second episode, soon, I won't be able to take this woman anymore... Any kindhearted person who can edit out all the scenes with that woman and let me watch peacefully.
