I only just watched it despite this movie being 16 years old. And it shows. The set and costumes were quite dated although it works better as such, rather than if it was filmed now. The hospital is dingy and run down, which adds to the atmosphere.
I didn't find the movie scary at all, but there were parts that definitely felt gross. In a good way!!. It was fun to laugh at the gross noises and special effects. It felt like a third of the captions were just "squelchy crunchy noises" so maybe don't watch this while eating.
I would look for a different movie if you can't handle bodily fluids and general body horror.
Overall, it was a fun movie to watch with friends who also like horror to kinda joke about the plot and sfx. It's a horror movie rather than a scary movie. It's not gonna give you nightmares but it might turn your stomach.
