I'm probably...

...going to get skinned alive by fangirls for this review. Episode 16 was the biggest letdown of the whole series. Seriously, the Hong Sisters should just take a break and not write a drama for awhile (maybe 10-20 years?).

At the beginning of the episode, I thought we might be headed somewhere, but no...all this build up to the switch, then all we get is Mari's text about it. All this build up to Da Ran meeting Kyung Joon, and all we get is Kyung Joon in Yeon Jae's shell. So...what the heck happened to Yeon Jae? Is he now inhabiting Kyung Joon's body? Or am I just confused about what happened?

Poor Choong-shik! Still having cute parts within all the trash. Now if somebody could write a show about him and the dumpling shop, I'm in. Also, poor Shin Won Ho, who never really got the chance to shine at all, even in the end.

oh, you smart boy...

Boong Do is slowly becoming one of my favorite male characters ever. Throughout this episode, the way he learns about aspects of the modern makes me smile because, though he depends on Hee Jin for some things, he is also figuring much out on his own.

And, of course, his smile is just too cute!^^

I can't wait to see where this goes after Hee Jin told everyone that "He's my boyfriend!"

OMG...

This episode!!!!! I almost fainted when she was stitching up the princess/queen, but I had panic attack when Choi Young was stabbed. (I think I flicked our heroine off a few times for good measure).

Just two episodes in and I?m intrigued by how these relationships work between all of the characters, especially our main pairing and the princess/queen and the king. Ooooh, I was so MAD when he told her that she didn?t have a say, and just when I?d had some sympathy for his situation, he pulled the power over honor card.

Anyway, I?m really enjoying the show so far. I like the wit and Choi Young?s comportment, even if it has me nearly in tears.

Tears and Cheers

Episode 18 of King of Dramas brought all the tears and cheers that a final episode should have. It had both drama and humor, and overall, it had a great ending that--while not completely happy (Anthony does end up blind)--gave us a heartwarming feeling.

AND finally...Hyun Min and Min Ah end up together! They were fantastic in this episode, from the touching moments in MiK and in the hilarious photo shoot scene at the end.

I'm thankful for King of Dramas. It brought me into the world of drama writing and production, provided me with wonderful characters, and brought so much humor.

Fully Invested

I'm completely and utterly emotionally invested in this drama. This was, quite possibly, one of the best episodes of the series so far. Asahina's betrayal is truly felt in this episode. By that I mean that Hyuga showed that hurt, inwardly and outwardly. The contours of Oguri Shun's face as he portrays Hyuga's emotions is fascinating. That ending--I know that the hurt isn't over, but I was so encouraged by Makoto in the end. This drama is just great!

An 'Okay' Episode

Even though this was an ?okay? episode, I still think that the drama could take a cliffhanger lesson from City Hunter?s later episodes. When I watched that drama, it made me sit there with my mouth gaped open at some of its cliffhangers.

That being said, I did particularly enjoy the story behind the King and the Princess/Queen. That relationship, to be honest, is the most intriguing at present. I?m really hoping that the other relationships can catch up to the pace of this one.

When ES pulled out the Hello Kitty mirror, I cracked up! I?m glad to see a sismance between her and the Queen, and I love the Queen?s sarcasm?strong female characters get too little credit these days, unfortunately.

I?m still looking forward to watching some more episodes, and I hope that the storylines become more solidified throughout. I do LOVE this drama, though.

Can A Better Ending...

...be found in a drama? I don't think so. Episode 16, like all others in QIHM, gripped me to its final breath and breathless kiss.

I'm so happy our couple got their happy ending. I also loved that kiss--seriously, Boong-Do and Hee-Jin continue to set the high bar on drama kisses. If you thought the last STEAMY kiss was steamy, it had nothing on that final kiss!!!!!!

Both Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na should be commended for their great chemistry. I really hope to see them act together in the future...or at least, be a real couple! Ji Hyun Woo--fighting!!

This show will be one that gets a 10 from me, which is really rare but well-deserved.

Undeniably Cute...

Tae Joon. I love his jealous moments--this is the Sano of the manga--always jealous, always holding those feelings right on the surface.

Eun Gyeol is just great. I love his imagination and reactions to events.Overall, this episode was the most enjoyable of the lot by far, and I think the ending was great.

I don't understand why the writers decided to merge Gilbert and Akira together, but you know what, for the first time, I don't care much about it because it works.

When Tae Joon saw Jae Hee's black and white photograph and caressed it, I giggled. I had a Hanazawa Rui flashback, lol.

Anyway, this episode gave us a lot to think about concerning all the relationships involved and developed the jealousies between our main characters. To the Beautiful You--hwaiting!!

I'm About to Say Some Magic Words to Do Hwi

The lowest level of the Inferno is reserved for Do Hwi; of this, I am absolutely sure. I think I hate her more than Sena from RTP (if one can do that) because with Do Hwi, the motivation is strictly men, which has got to be the worst thing with which to waste one’s evil machinations. The motivation for Sena (though completely stupid as well) was at least familial, of sorts. Do Hwi, in my opinion, is incapable of loving anyone but herself.

I can’t wait to see the backlash of the webtoon reveal to Enrique. This episode brought us closer to a break line between the sort of Enrique/Jin Rak bromance that has been going on for the last few episodes. As much as I hate to say it, I think I would be happier if we have polar first and second leads in terms of friendship (or lack thereof). It’s not that hate Jin Rak (though he’s by far my least favorite of the four main guys), but the appearance of his aggressiveness makes me wonder about what he did as Oh Jae Won.

Le Awesome...

Long live the bromance! I?m so glad to see Gongmin and Choi Young back together in a partnership. The give and take has become much more mutual now, and for that I love the show.

I can?t wait to see where this will do now that the king?s wearing black and Choi Young?s fighting back!!!

Amazing!!!

This drama is just too good for words! The twist in bringing her back to life--the fact that people (especially Lord Choi's son) can see her now. I'm flabbergasted at how wonderful this story is!

I'm so fascinated with the mystery of it all now, not only of Lee Seo Rim's murder, but of who exactly Lord Choi's son is. I think the locked up woman is Eun Oh's mom, but I wonder what her relation is to the Choi's and the overall mystery.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Jade Emperor! The shots when the Reaper was taking Arang on the river were just brilliant--that transition from color to black and white to juxtapose the difference between life and death was simply gorgeous.

I can't say enough about this drama! Can't wait for next week!

This Episode...

...finally gave me that full Hana Kimi feeling that I missed earlier on. Despite my love for all of its previous versions, TaeJoon has finally captured Sano, in my opinion. In the manga, Sano blushed often and had difficulty controlling his feelings sometimes. This episode allowed us to see that (I don't think TaeJoon was just working out for athletics, lol).

Oh, the Ms. Genie competition--how I love you.

The only that irritated me was that darn camera again--it's unbelievably cheesy and particularly at that moment. I don't need a slo-mo of JaeHee falling (I have enough of those of my own, thank you very much), but the scene itself was very cute.

I'm looking forward to next week more than I had been looking forward to this week. For that alone, this week succeeded on this show.

Ummm...

Why did TaeJun act like he knew she was a girl if he didn't know. Or did he know but didn't want to act like he knew? This particular part of episode 4 had me wondering if the writers remembered what they'd already written in the previous pages of the script.

However, besides that, this turned out to be a pretty interesting episode. TaeJun's moodiness is something I'm not currently enjoying, but I'm willing to look past it at present.

My favorite character so far has got to be Eun Gyeol! He's got the Nakatsu vibe down, and I LOVE his blog posts and selcas. He has quips of wisdom that I don't think many characters on the show have at present that should (see the Doctor--love his acting, hate that he's not really giving her the advice that he's known for).

Can't wait for next week!

Happy Heartbreaking Christmas...

Oh, what can I say about this episode. It made me cry so much, yet it wasn't from bad acting or stupid plot. Every sad thing made sense, and some of it was funny sad too.

Episode 16 brought the Go Eun/Anthony relationship to a head, with the lasting question: When did it become 'like' for Go Eun? I would say the answer is gradual, but I wonder what she'll say to Anthony.

And Anthony? Oh geez. I know some will argue that the eye disease trope is sooo overdone in k-dramas and that the drama is suffering from the use of this. However, this is the FIRST time that it's realistic to me. Hereditary eye diseases do exist, and to me, it is no stretch for Anthony to have developed the disease that his mother has.

It is devastating though. Just when Anthony began to see the world as beautiful (via Go Eun), his eyes are failing. In the so many years his eyes were fine, he saw the world as cold, lifeless, and a piece of paper currency.

That brings me to Min Ah. I never feel bad for the 2nd female in most relationships. That's probably because they are usually conniving and evil, but this time, Min Ah is neither. Still, she acted incredibly classy despite reminding Anthony that he needs to be sincere about his feelings.

In addition, this translated to the scene with Hyun Min and Min Ah when she tells Hyun Min to look inside himself for the answers in his acting. I'm really glad this issue is being tackled in such a way. For most of the series, we've seen Hyun Min progress, but we've not seen him introspect much. I want him to find confidence in himself that isn't just a face.

Overall, I really enjoyed episode 16, despite the sadness. I can't wait for our last week of the drama and for what will happen with all of our characters.
