Super sweet but also way too easy going??
This kdrama is perfect to watch in the winter. Is just so so sweet! Loved the simplicity of the romance, and how sweet they were to each other. I guess, it's the type of love story that makes people want to fall in love. But with that being said, for the level of trauma these characters have everything went by pretty easily. A few bumps here and there, but overall an easy going story.
The story with that uncle just ended abruptly even though i thought some other type of closure should've happen. Also thought the full story about Eun Sub being abandoned would be explored in a different way later on. And how terribly fucked up it was that Hae Won ended up abandoning him in the same place his mother did (yes she was also severely hurt but that's just so wrong in so many levels)... Like the perfect man he is, he is very accepting of her departure, he was always expecting it, and never ever cries or feels any kind of frustration about it. She ends up coming back on her own terms and on the day of his mother's death, she decides to run towards his car to ask for a hug, cause she just couldn't wait any longer... and he, again, like the sweetest human being that he is, ends up smiling and accepting her right away. idk... perhaps way too perfect. she could've left him a thousand times and he would just be there waiting for her with a soft smile, a coffee and a book on his hand, and that doesn't sit well with me somehow.
this kdrama is indeed good for it's lighthearted and sweet moments, but fails to marry the traumatic past lifes with the sweet and easy going romance. this show either needed way more episodes or it's just too easy going.
Quick shout out to the wonderful actress that played Im Hwi and the actor that played Jang Woo for making me genuinely laugh so much! Such genuine characters and crazy good actors!
