A hugh miss from the story to the execution

Since the drama received so much love from the people watching it, maybe I went into with too high an expactation. Nevertheless, I'll try to be as objective as possible, despite the fact that this is still a subjective opinion of a person.
Personally, I find the romanticism of most scenes too cheesy and long. It's not because I dislike the type in general as I'm a regular consumer of kdrama and I quite like the time the show gives for the audience to process the emotions. However, the age gap lead to a large portion of the scene being unused because they can't physically do anything to lovey dovey as it's not appropriate. In the end, I didn't find myself emotionally attached and invested into the character.

A fresh, innovative and well-executed drama!!

This drama is absolutely without doubt a solid watch for everyone due to its overall positive tone and superb production quality.
First, I would like to commend the casting of Woo Young-Woo. The portrayal of an autistic person is thoughtful, accurate and full of love. Clearly, there was a ton of thoughts and consideration that went into the research and development of the character and the result was sublime.
The drama balanced quite nicely between the tender romantic moment, the traumatic experience of an autistic person and the intensity of the court scene. In addition with good dialogue and well-paced scene, the writer and director created an enjoyable and satisfactory watching experience. However, I think that the story got quite lost after the half-point mark. But in the end, the ending was a good and fitting conclusion to this ark of the character.
However, I find some of the repeated scenes, such as the photographic memory, the sudden epiphany or the monologue, quite a cliche but that's just my preference.
All in all, I love this drama :)

A more mellow but more polished product from the director of Something in the Rain

Don't mistake the slow pace of the series as boring since the writer and director duo intentionally slow the series down to focus on the raw emotion and interaction between the characters. In that sense, this kind of series might to be everyone's cup of tea.
The series presents the story in a very organic and natural manner, without too many lazy writing (as in forcing stuff happens that conveniently benefit the story in the name of fate). The acting of the main cast is good.
However, there is one big blunt that might annoy you quite a bit. Somehow, all the romantic scene is accompanied by 1,2 songs. The repetition is quite annoying after a few first time and greatly diminishes the wathching experience

Although I got into the drama because I'm a fan of both Son Ye-jin and Jeon Mi-do, I quite enjoyed the time watching this drama. Big heads up, this is a sad, sad, really sad drama and you'll know it early on so proceed at your own expense.
The drama deals with quite a sensitive and emotion topic, which is grief; more especially, the death of someone before their time. Despite all that, the drama really got its message through and through. It's a testament to human nature of dealing with incredible emotional turmoil and the irreplacable role of friendship in getting through such obstacles. In the end, what I take from the drama is a slight sense of hope and encouragement. And isn't that just enough for a good drama!

Quite possibly my most favorite kdrama

Well, this is gonna be hard for me to be objective so I think I'm just gonna straight up subjective :)
One of the best things of this drama is the feelings and thoughts that it lefts after you finish watching. You will be absolutely overwhelmed with sadness, uncertainty, frustration but at the sametime hopefulness, bittersweetness, nostagia and content. Your heart will sunked when you're coming to accept that the couple could not find a way back together in the future. In the vast multiverse, surely there will be countless one where there's a happy ending. However, I respect the the writer's decision to explore the bittersweet of life and the human nature in accepting and living with the consequences of their own action. The outcome of their relationship is logical considering their own choices. It's disheartening that Ji Yin's profession is the one that caused Hee Do so much trauma in her childhood, although it's one of the trait that attracted her to him. It's fortunate that they come together in a time that they most needed each other, being each other's motivation and drive for all future success. However, it's unfortunate their relationship began when they're both too young, too under prepared for all the hardship that came their way. In this sense, the writer have done a fantastic job cultivating a tight-knit story portraiting love and life.
The casting for Na Hee Do is perfect. Her performance is off-the-chart when representing an student athlete who is reckless, driven, stubborn and full of positivity.
I would like to thank the cast and crew for all the hard work that they put into the drama, amidst post-pandemic. Their effort and love to this drama is clearly shown in each scene that I watched.
