For those who seek comfort! ୨ৎ
I watched this because my friend recommended it to me. It had been a long time since the last time I watched a series, let alone a chinese one, but since she said it was her comfort drama, I gave it a shot. I ended up enjoying it a lot even though I had no expectations whatosever.I loved the cast. At first, I thought Zai would be your typical soft-hearted, weak, and pick me lead, and Lurang was a typical cold, arrogant male lead. But, despite Zai's soft character, I absolutely loved how she's assertive and she knows how to stand up for herself. She had her fair shares of embarrassing moments but not up to the point where you'll cringe hard. Lurang also turned out to be just a shy guy who doesn't know how to express himself, given that he came from a non-affectionate family. I love how their relationship started as well as the way it progressed. I love how there were no unecessary love triangle and how their arguments and misunderstandings were easily solved. It was realistic.
The supporting characters also did a great job! I love how they weren't one-dimensional characters who were just there for the plot. They were also given their own story worth watching and listeningto. The second couple was also lovable, in fact, I actually liked their trope more. They also had a strong chemistry. The relationship between the characters were well presented and I couldn't help but wish I had a friend group as strong as theirs.
Their story may not be that remarkable but personally, each episode made me crave for more. The only downhill for me here was the seemingly rushed ending because I still had questions — I wish we got to see a glimpse of the closure between Rang and his annoying mother, how they told their parents about their engagement, and their child! I wanted to see their child! I loved how we got to see their story that began in highschool until their work / married lives. This was a good balance between realistic and too-good-to-be-true of events.
Overall, this drama felt like a escape from reality, a breath of fresh air, and a reminder that there is a hope for tomorrow. I will forever love Rang's dialogue in the last episode!
Also, there's a rumor that the main leads would have an upcoming series again, I hope it's true! ^___^

Amazing concept but poorly executed.
This is the only review I've done exactly after finishing the drama, so I've got a lot to say.First half: Frustrating
Second half: Tormenting
Hyeyoon and Jaewook carried this show. Rowoon wasn't bad at all but his character felt so bland.
This drama had so much potential honestly. The concept was quite intruiging and that was what actually got me to watch it. The first two episodes were amazing. It was a great build up into the comics world and it was funny. Oh Dan-Oh's character was iconic. She knew her goal: To change her fate of dying and to make sure she's not just a mere extra.
But then, Haru came — his supposed savior. He did change her fate! But then, they began to become soooo co-dependent with each other that somehow, Dan-Oh's world seem to only revolve around Haru only, and the same could be said to the latter.
Somewhere along the story, the plot was lost. Then the love triangle began.
Jaewook did well but his character was so frustrating. I did not get the second lead syndrome from him, or at least not as strongly.
I almost dropped this, but it actually got better in the second half, personally... Or am I tweaking? The second half was honestly much better and it started making sense again.
Overall, this was still fun. A lot of comedic scenes and romance and madness from the second lead. The friendship built while filming though! <3

Inhyeop carried!
Why does female lead always fall oh my gosh. All wattpad y/n clichés are here, but were not in a way that get you hooked. It was indeed funny but the chemistry between the leads was so meh.People were lying when they said the female lead should have chosen Seojun because Seojun actually deserved better! The break-up between her and Suho felt so unecessary and I would have wished that she made it at least hard for him before they get back together but noooo, she forgave him easily like he didn't leave her hanging.
Also, why did they have to ruin soojin's character?! For a guy?! Her development of feelings for Suho was so quick and random so her sudden betrayal to the female lead (yes, I don't remember her name) was so out of the blue and was only done for the plot.
The only thing I liked about this was Inhyeop's acting (he carried) and Jukyung ?? being able to stand up for herself after being bullied like it was actually kind of satisfying.
Overall, if you want a quick watch with a frustrating love triangle and bullying, this is meant for you. Had a good laugh, still.

“The story of all sorts of people who clean up stars' messes.”
Except for the ugly representation of Africa in Episode 1, this was honestly such a good watch! I started this without any expectations and only for some laughs — but it turned out way better that it's now one of my favorites! I was actually scared at putting my positive review here because the rating is so low, but trust me, watch it if you haven't yet, you won't regret it! The first three episodes will get you hooked, and the rest will make you stay.I genuinely thought it was just a silly romcom about an actor and a staff who hates each other because she accidentally made a typo in an article about him, kinda like enemies to lovers, but it was actually more than that. They got together quite quickly and we were only halfway through the show so I was hesitant about continuing, but I'm so glad that I didn't drop it. Everything about this series was well-executed and problems were not dragged for a long time. There were also a few twists that would keep you at the edge of your seat. The drama tackled potential issues that not only actors experience, but those whom they work with as well in the entertainment industry.
It was a perfect balance of everything.
Things I loved about it:
i. Five side couples with different tropes! Honestly, some of them were unexpected but all of them were so cute.
ii. LEE SUNG KYUNG !!! her chemistry with young dae was amazing :') honestly put her beside any man and i can already see the vision
iii. OSTs! Amazing songs!
iv. The few twists
v. The side characters also did such amazing job that sometimes they outshine the main leads!
vi. The cute epilogue in each episode! The epilogue in episode 2 was my favorite!
Again, worth-watching!

Hmm
I watched this a year ago so bear with me.I saw some says that they were frustrated because of the poor choices of the woman, as well as the general themes of this drama — infidelity / adultery (well, not really because Wako and her fb weren't married but still something similar) and pedophilia. That's exactly the point of this drama. It's realistic and it openly talks about those two issues. It shows what happens and how it happens if an adult, in general, begins a sexual relationship with a child.
PS: YOU CAN ALWAYS SKIP THE MATURE SCENES!
Also, don't talk about “what if the roles were reversed?” bullshit because I don't see anyone praising the woman for grooming and having a relationship with a teenager. Though her punishment of earning rumors about sleeping with a child wasn't enough honestly — she should've been punished legally! The age gap between her and Yumeaki was soooo questionable.
But then again, no one's clapping because of her actions! Her actions were a result of her problems, and some people understand that, but it doesn't mean anyone condone them!
The relationship between her and Yumeaki also showed how the latter's actions become more wreckless at the time went by. He became posessive and almost lost his sense out of his supposed love for Wako.
Not a single issue was romanticized in my viewpoint, they were realistically presented, in a way that would make the viewers have their own question and opinion about it.
f you're not open-minded, I don't think you should watch this. Although, I did expect mixed reactions because this series was meant to be a controversial one.

Viva La Vida! ✨
This was my first time travel drama, and it surely did not disappoint!I thought it would be a simple story of a boy travelling back to the past to meet his parents with a bunch of crackhead moments, but this was a tearjerker. :')
Things I loved:
- I SOOOO LOVEEE both the female leads. Both have such strong characters !!!
- The chaotic relationship between Eun Gyeol and his father!
- The family dynamic between the bandmates!
The friendship that was made even if it started out as a chaos between them
- Episode 15!
- The OSTs! Chef's kiss! Shining was so good!
- RYEOUN! He got my heart tbh.
Even though he wasn't able to change the fact that his father lost his hearing, he absolutely changed how he viewed life from then on and got him to enjoy what he actually loved. He also helped his mother which was my favorite scene, by the way.
Everything about this drama was seriously worth the hype despite its minimal flaws.

For cliché lovers!
Honestly, I was either confused and frustrated or giggling and laughing. This is a good watch if you miss romcom dramas of the past decade! But it wasn't that memorable at all.I watched this because of the hype it was getting. It was really good at its first few episodes. It was truly romance and comedy, but comedy was gone after episode 9. It actually became boring. The ending felt rushed too. I wished there were at least one more episode, or they could've improved the last two episodes, but again, it went downhill. I still had a lot of questions after watching, and it wasn't in a way that it got me hooked. More like in a “... what was that ???” way.
I saw someone say the whole plot seemed like fillers for the whole drama and honestly, I kind of agree. It was plotless.
The second couple also had more chemistry and their relationship seemed realistic, but was still not something remarkable. Characters were one-dimensional and it was frustrating to see the lie go on.
Overall, this wasn't just my cup of tea. I love me some romcoms but I still want it to have some plot.
It's really not that deep though. I was just disappointed because of its hype.

Worth binge-watching
What I loved the most: AMAZING OSTs!I'm kind of glad I watched this after it ended and not while it was airing. It would have honestly bored me out and would have frustrated me.
This drama was hyped too much that I had to see it for myself. Consider that it had been years since the last time I watched kdramas, and this was my second kdrama during summer — with a late rating. It gotten me out of my kdrama slump to be honest. But I remember while watching, around episode 9, I thought to myself, “okay, they could've ended this here? Why make it 16 episodes long?” and during the time I was watching, it made sense to me. But looking back, the plot was actually unecessarily dragged for too long.
Did I enjoy it still? A lot. It's the type worth binge-watching (I finished this in 2 days) because some parts still keep you at the edge of your seat and make you crave for more (me personally, because I saw some say that they almost dropped this because of those twists.)
But honestly? It looks like the hype was only because of Wooseok and his loserism, which watchers these days love. I doubt this would get the same hype if it wasn't for the twist in Episode 2 too.
It also had plot holes, lots of them. Why did the taxi driver badly want Sol and Sunjae killed? I also don't get how the watch worked.
To conclude, I have a love-hate relationship with this drama. It's a good watch, especially for those who love romcom and the “he fell first trope”! I also loved how they got to meet as highschool students, college students, and as adults who have jobs. The time travelling concept was tiring, but Sol and Sunjae's relationship was cute and heart-fluttering.
The OST for this drama is my favorite! The songs used here are so beautiful, especially Sonagi / Sudden Shower. Ugh, favorite! Also, the N.Flying song, Star!
Also, Hyeyoon deserves more recognition!

I CAN SMELL SEASON 4!
I have not much to say honestly. I love the fact that Master Kim and Director Park became besties, even if they still get frustrated with each other's decisions. Also, Seo Woojin and Cha Eun Jae's story is the cutest :') I started watching this for them and definitely did not disappoint. I also love the side characters as well as the new and old ones! I can really smell season 4 but it might take at least 2 more years for that! Still, I know it's gonna be worth anticipating for because the main characters from Season 1 are back at Doldam!
In conclusion: WATCH IT! SO GOOD!

#TEAMDOLDAM
[ I haven't watched Season 1 yet. I will though! ]Honestly, I watched this because of Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop. I wasn't looking forward to anything except for their love story, knowing that they were academic rivals in medical school.
But the first scene in Episode 1 already got me hooked! It was so interesting. As someone who haven't yet watched Season 1 and have no idea who the guy was (Master Kim) and the whole mystery hospital, it was very intruiging. Until I just caught myself falling in love with Doldam and appreciating the whole drama!
It was so good! I'm mainly a romcom girlie but this one was so worth-watching. It was frustrating sometimes, especially with the main villain, which I've heard was the main villain from Season 1. He hadn't learned his lesson after 3 years? I've always believed that Director Park was not bad at all though.
To conclude, this was worth the watch! But my rating might change once I watch Season 1 so.. still, this was amazingggg.
