Mixed. Amazing but the last chapter hit me both good and bad.
I'm not really sure where to start with this drama. I started watching it because it had Tay in it and I saw it also had a lot of other GMMTV actors that i'd seen in other things. Although I watched it because of Tay I ended up loving all the characters because the actors are all so talented. They portrayed the roles so perfectly and you could see how hard they worked.
The story line is very unique, especially since it's something that isn't seen as normal. Most people consider relationships to be between 2 people but this shows that love doesn't have boundaries and if you love someone then you should do what makes you happy and live your life as you want it and they want it not the way society thinks is best and considered 'normal'.
I found the music incredibly catchy and that's why I rated it so highly. Usually I find myself skipping the introduction parts because they take too long and the music gets repetitive but this time the music really made me want to watch the introduction. Saying that, I also found that the introduction was actually really effective and every time a new episode came on I would watch it just to hear the music and see the well edited cast credits come up.
As for the re-watch value I think it is a drama that would kind of hard to re-watch purely because the point of it is to be dramatic and leave you in suspense all the time. It's hard to be in suspense and wonder what is going to happen when you know exactly that already from watching it before. I rated it a 7 because it is an amazing drama but because of that reason you wouldn't want to watch it more than once a year or even 2+.
Since I rated everything else so highly it is probably a surprise to see that i only rated it a 7 overall. I have two main reasons.
Reason 1. I was really disappointed with Tur's ending. I wanted him to live a happy life and be free from all the pain and cruelty he went through. I know he chose that job voluntarily and I know he didn't seem to care about what he was doing and who he was hurting but you can see that actually he did want to have a change of life and thinking he was going to start all over again with the woman he was clearly starting to have feelings for, if not already loved made him so incredibly happy. I just wanted them both to finally have a chance to move on and be happy but it was taken away from them and it really broke my heart. For that reason I just felt a bit let down with the ending.
Reason 2. I felt really unclear about the three main characters futures. It was clear that Shin took over the family mafia business like he promised his father although who knows what he actually did with it in the end. And it's clear they set up a beach side bar and hostel type thing like Neo said he wanted to. It's also clear that Neo loves both Shin and Miw but it's unclear to me whether Shin and Miw love each other like Neo loves them or whether it's a love that can't be explained in that sort of way. A sort of sentimental love that's more than friendship but not a romantic love. I also wonder what happened with Shin and PP because they teased Shin about the friendship but it really seemed that there could've been something between them. It's confusing because although they did an ending where they talked about opening up to themselves and being who they wanted to be, loving who they wanted etc. I still didn't get a clear idea of what exactly that was and maybe it isn't needed but I got confused a bit.
Also can I just say how amazing Gun is in this drama. It's the sole reason I loved his character so much. I think if it was anyone else I would hate the character and not be bothered about what happened to them, as brutal as that is. I think he portrays the role incredibly well and makes the character his own. I found he was amazing in Sotus as well and he is honestly such a talented and underrated actor. I think for me he is actually one of the best actors there are and I would love to see him as the main role in more dramas. I didn't stan him before this although I saw his talent but now I realised just how well he can change to fit a role and how he makes it his own to the point that even a side character can become the spotlight when they're in the scene.
