For me I think that Something in my Room will be one of my top favorite BL's dramas this year and will be a drama that I will probably go back and rewatch. I feel that the story line was developed beyond the usual BL dramas but strives to portray each character as who they are with their perfections and imperfections their own thoughts and feelings and this really added a lot to flow of the story in the show. It also showed how the impact of loss and grief along with misunderstandings and how that can really affect an individual and relationships.
~Music~
For me, when I watch any dramas or movies, one thing I keenly look out for is the where the background music is placed and does it match the current mood and environment of the scene that the music is backing up. One thing that bothers me is when music with lyrics is "placed" underneath scenes when people are talking and this drives me crazy because I can no longer focus on what the characters are saying but in this drama (from what I can remember) this drama really does an excellent job of avoiding that issue. I think that the music was used placed really, really well and the mixing was done perfectly and it really did a good job of enhancing certain emotions in different scenes. I think the scene that I really enjoyed because of the music was the scene when Phob leads Phat to the back of the house so they can look at the stars in the last episode, that background music really swept me off my chair. It was well mixed and really fit well into portraying that emotion between the two characters.
~The Characters~
Phob was played by Nut and I am so so thankful that he got a chance to really show his best in this series in comparison to his main role in Oxygen. He really does a good job of portraying Phob this time with all the raw emotions on this journey of recovering of memories and identity. I really hope to see him again in future series soon. Phat was played by Plan and I really enjoyed it and I hope to see him as well in future series.
Overall, the storyline and characters were thoroughly developed. I would definitely recommend this to some of my friends for sure and I know I will come and rewatch this drama before the end of this year.
