Short and Sweet - good acting with an entertaining and concise story

This drama is like the best of both worlds combining the length of a longer movie with the juicy details of a drama. I highly recommend this for those who love sweet moments without spending hours fast-forwarding through those unneeded storylines.

I have watched many dramas both of those long 40-minute episodes as well as those that are 2 minute long episodes. While most of the 2-minute episode drama productions are more on the lower budget that compromised on the quality of actors, costumes, and poor directing, etc. It usually makes me feel I am watching an amateur production, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one with quality actor/actresses (both good looking and good acting), pretty costumes, decent directing, etc... the entire production feels just as good as the normal full budget ones, but with a shorter concise story. A story that doesn't need to focus on too much plotting or any 2nd couple that I call the fluff, which I usually just fast forward, but this is a drama that gives you only the sweet romance and just the right amount of character development and story details of the main leads, from start to finish with beautiful chemistry between them.

Overall: The acting was good, both main leads have beautiful chemistry, the story was entertaining and sweet, just the perfect amount of story and romance without dragging on. In fact, it almost leaves you wanting more, wishing it was just a little bit longer. This story is completed with a 2nd season, which even with both seasons combined is still the perfectly nice and concise length. Instead of watching a 60-hour drama for the sweet storyline only, now you can have it without fast-forwarding together in these 2 seasons.

romantic and funny drama with a decent story

The story has a lot of funny moments that I often laugh out loud, and they aren't slap stick humour, which I dislike. Its not a bad story, and doesn't drag on. One that I hardly need to use the forward button and enjoyed each episode. Some dramas have very badly written ending or very badly directed endings, but the ending of this story doesn't feel too rush and finished and addressed all aspects of the story quite well. The only thing is the acting is only mediocre, they are not bad, but doesn't take me very deep into the moment and often time I can tell their tears are very much eye drop with a face expression.

While I have seen much more impressive acting by other actors and actresses than by the lead roles in this drama and there are room for improvement for them, but they are still acceptable and nice to watch with an entertaining story that has many funny moments. The romance in this drama is warm and sweet, which was nice without too much heartache. It also finished on a sweet note that the ending actually left me smiling. It has a good detailed ending that isn't rushed nor draggy. Just the right length and details covered. Overall, a nice entertaining, light hearted, sweet, and funny drama.

I have watched numerous travel in time romance story. This one has the same setting as some of the other popular travel in time story (the qing dynasty) with similar princes involved. But its refreshing with a spin with the male lead and the female lead falling in love much earlier, with them going through the conflicts and challenges in unity as a couple. Even more refreshing is a different prince that the female lead end up with in this story instead of the prince in the other dramas. The way they tie this couple together is also refreshing with the "dream" part... but is actually real. So there is a few layer of perspective to it. I also liked how the drama ended with the time jar letters. ( i won't go into more specific so I don't spoil it for people). The male lead did a good job in his acting, it was nice to the chemistry they have. Good story overall. I didn't feel I wasted time after watching this, but finished with warmth in my heart.

Great Acting, Sweet Romance, Good Story

This drama has a very good combination of a good and interesting story that doesn't feel too draggy even though its 55 episodes. It has good character developments throughout these episodes. The story while overall has a serious plot, but also carries humour at certain moments. It has a very good combination of seriousness and funny moments.

The lead actor and actress performed very well for their role, very natural and expressive of their character at the same time. I have seen this lead actor before, but he definitely out did himself in this drama with his subtle and natural acting and still expressing his feelings through its subtleness. I can feel how their emotions would be during those moments through watching them and carries me into their world. The action is decent too, not overly much, but enough to keep those who likes actions going.

The romance between the two is sweet and has a nice chemistry. Their sweet moments although often are short scenes here and there, but are all very sweet just makes you want more. The director also did well in adding the artistic side to it. Overall, It has a good balance of action, romance, decent story with a touch of comic relief and topped with great acting performance from the lead actor and lead actress.

Story was ok - nothing too new, but it was presented in an entertaining and modern manner with a humour

Acting was good (while there are even more extraordinary that I have seen, but they are good, no complain there)

Music was catchy, uplifts the mood with a touch of humour when played with its actions in the movie

I liked the director's touch on how the story was played. This film has successfully earned "Romantic COMEDY" genre. While many comedy I watch just found it to be stupid and boring. I actually did laugh a few times with this one and it isn't stupid humour like running into a wall nor rude languages.

Overall, Its a humorous and fun to watch film, thus the title of this review. If you are looking for a light hearted movie with funny moments to pass time by, this can go on the list.
