I loved it from start to finish
I have read some of the less-nice reviews of this show, but I disagree with all of those. I loved this show all the way through. The writing was very good, acting was fantastic, characters were 3-diemenstional and believable, chemistry of the leads was awesome, storyline was (mostly) believable and interesting. I got bored at no point in this show or had thoughts of dropping it/fast-forwarding. There were some tropes to interfere with the leads' love, but nothing so unbearable I was screaming at my screen (which I have done a number of times before with some other shows). The FL is cold and angry at first, but also has heart, and she does grow as a character without becoming an entirely different person. THe ML was *adorable,* and some have kinda complained he does NOT have much character growth, but I think it makes sense for his chartacter as someone who grew up as an angel. Also, he DOES decide later to do what he has to do even if it is against God or his own conscience, which I personally consider character growth, myself. Still, he doesn’t change MUCH, but that is something I am GLAD of. He is sweet and cute and warm and innocent pretty much through it all, and it suits him well, as well as making him a great opposite-makes-complement for the FL. Plus, the love story is 100% believable, in my opinion. Some have said otherwise, but it seems to me to be clearly shown from the get-go that they are immediately drawn to each other, like magnets, from the start. It just grows a lot deeper from there, as they spend more time together.
I’ve seen a complaint or two about the show focusing more on the relationship(s) in middle than the dancing and FL’s journey, and that is true, but those elements are still in there. They do rather rush her recovery, but the dance and drama surrounding it are still there. They just become side stories constructed around the leads’ romance; a fact I personally am GRATEFUL for! I came FOR the romance; I don’t mind the rest of the story being secondary to the love story AT ALL.
The ending was happy, though a little confusing to me at first, but after reading the commentary posts on this site for that show (not reviews), it makes perfect sense to me now. It seems some people believe the ending was NOT a truly happy ending, but after reading those posts, I am convinced even more than when I was watching it that it was indeed a HAPPY ending, and one that was NOT, in fact, tacked on last-minute as some have implied but rather quite deliberately intended and well-thought out. I suggest you to read those posts yourself to decide for yourself how YOU see it after you finish the show.
The soundtrack–I would have given it a higher rating if it weren’t for that one song (I don’t know the names of the songs in this show) that I call the “1,2,3,4” song (because the song starts with that short countdown, twice). That song, imo, was intrusive and annoying and overplayed, and also for me I kept thinking a *character* was saying that at the start of each play of the song (it’s a dancing show, after all.). Enough times that the one time a character DOES start counting steps out loud, THAT time I thought it was the stupid song starting again! lol But you may not have any issues with it yourself. That’s’ just me. But the other main song they used, I LOVED. The “There Was a Word of God” song. It’s beautiful, sad, haunting, and appropriate. High marks for that one. The other song or two are also good.
The one thing I wish the show had, though, is an epilogue. Even just two minutes, one minute even. Just a few snapshots of “after.” I would have been so happy to have that. But I’ll take it as is and be plenty happy with that because they could have just made it a very clear tragedy.
Christian folks may find this show a bit difficult to watch, though, given the hard-hitting questions about God asked by the characters and opinions/feelings about God given by the characters. The show never quite resolves that clearly, either, with a “This is what God’s will was all along” or a “this is why thus and such had to happen.” So there’s that, for those who are sensitive to such things.
I did not intend to write such a long review! I didn’t even know I had that much to say. But for what it’s worth…I hope this review helps you decide to give this show a try, and helps you to like it more! It’s a new fave of mine now and I’m giving it a high rewatch score which I don’t do much. :)

So much fun, so much heartbreak, so much love
Whoa, this one packs a PUNCH! Once the heartbreak starts, they crank the dial up to TEN and it STAYS THERE A WHILE! D*mn, I had a hard time making through this one because of this, it really jerked those tears! But it’s all good in the end, so it’s worth it. :)The acting was GREAT in this! Especially the ML. His heartbreak is so palpable! But there is also a lot of humor in it. It’s a bit silly, but the whole premise is only bought by throwing away logic in the first place, so if you picked this title knowing it’s premise, you can’t complain about it after the fact. :) Made me laugh a lot. And cry a lot. It was quite enjoyable. Maybe not the deepest of stories or characters but deep enough to believe and care about. Their love was quite believable, imo, and wonderful to watch. Excellent chemistry between the leads and everyone else. The side characters were surprisingly interesting too, and all of them had good actors palying the roles.
Very very funny too, for the first third or more and then sporadically from there. Was worth my time and emotional investment. Was never bored. Interesting to watch all the time, if sometimes a bit emotionally exhausting. I will certainly want to revisit this one in the future.

Had to learn to like it but then it was great
I really did not like this at first. I thought the FL was obnoxious, annoying, and unlikeable and the ML was more cardboard cut-out than alien. But I pressed on, and I'm really glad I did, because I really enjoyed it a lot a little bit later into the show! The female lead became a much warmer and funnier character in my eyes, and the male lead--though not a terribly expressive character--became more human. You could see the change in him as he fell in love, though not in an overt sort of way, but that made sense for his personality. It was a hilariously funny show, as well as romantic and angsty. There were a lot of questions left unanswered about the alien and his powers, but you don't need those answers to enjoy the show unless your primary goal in watching it is for the sci-fi-ish aspect of it. Also, some things don't quite add up as far as why he doesn't do this or that at certain times with his abilities, but you can come up with your own reasons or just accept that he has his (even if his is just "I didn't think of that," haha). The ending is bittersweet, and I would have much preferred a solid, full-on HAPPY ending, but it was good enough to make it worth the time I invested in it. I laughed, I hurt, I swooned, I enjoyed. It was fun and interesting. Oh, and it had a good villian, too. Irredeemable evil bad guy. Definitely worth the watch!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A Good Day to be a Reviewer
(That title was supposed to be clever and funny though I think I'm probably the only person who will laugh at it hehe)I just finished watching this one for the second time so obviously it has a high rewatchability rating from me, but that is so because it rates highly in my book in every way--except for the music. The music isn't bad, I just kinda got tired of hearing the same couple of songs over and over again.
They overetended the show, imo, using unnecessary (and needlessly long) recaps on every episode and memory montages in places they weren't really called for--inluding a whole extra 124-minute clip-show episode added on at the end. Plus the Uncles's story was silly and also unnecessary, imo. Other than those things, though, it was great!
Cute, sweet, funny, and heartwarming for the first 3/4ths or so when the Tragic Obstacle to Overcome comes along. After that, it's pretty angsty, but not unwatchably so, and you get a happy ending.
And best of all--Cha Eun Woo knows how to kiss a girl! Wow! XD

Worth Watching
I watched the Thai version of this show first ("Switch On") without realizing it was a remake of this one. I liked it and reviewed it on this site, but of course wanted to see this original version as soon as I learned of its existence so it was my very next watch. And this one was great! The Thai one, though I liked it, was nonsensical, but this one MADE TOTAL SENSE THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH!! Everything is explained! Such sweet, sweet logic! I missed that so much in the Thai version, lol.I've always loved the "comic comes to life" or "video game becomes real" trope and this one did not disappoint! Great storyline, believeable plots, good acting, no horrible misunderstanding, happy ending. They did leave a couple things hanging, though, a little bit. And I thought the romance was a bit more intense and compelling in the Thai version, but that doesn't mean this one wasn't good. Overall it was really good and worth watching. I'll probably watch it again in the future.
I'm rating the music a 5.5 simply because I barely noticed it...so it was neither compelling nor irritating. But the soundtrack has never been terribly important to me when watching a show anyway.

NON-SPOILER REVIEW
Overall, this was an enjoyable watch. Its a bit of a soap opera and gets a bit repetitive and tedious toward the end; they stretched it out further than they needed to. Plus I did not like the very end, but if you ignore the last few minutes of it, it's pretty good. Also, that ending can be interpreted in more than one way, as I have learned from other reviews, which can make it better too. For the most part I found it fun, entertaining, interesting, and in places really cute and/or funny. But don't expect it to make any sense. The technology is hardly explained at all and what little explanation they do give makes no sense at all. (What the hell do radio waves have to do with anything??) And the rules for the game seem to be made up as they go to suit the needs of the storyline as it progresses and are subject to sudden changes without notice or explanation. But if you can suspend logic and just watch it for that which it was primarily made for--a cross-universe romance--you will enjoy it.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I reallly enjoyed it a lot, for the most part
I've read a lot of comments from people who did NOT like it, and I agree on some of the things they say, but most of the things they complain about simply don't bother me. This is a formulaic ROMANCE DRAMA, not a deep character study or social commentary or advocacy film or sci-fi thriller. It's true that the paralyzation didn't get much attention (or the reversal thereof) and the characters aren't super deep and some things just exist to serve the plot without a lot of backstory or examination (or explanation, such as in the case of the time travel). But I did not watch it for any of those things. I watched it for the do-or-die ROMANCE, and it delivers that! The show is ALL about the love between two people, and one character's willingness to do whatever it takes, no matter the cost to herself, to save her beloved. And that is exactly what I wanted! It did stretch out the achy-breaky angst too much, and the show cut have been cut down into fewer episodes, but even as is, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will most likely watch it again someday. It has really sweet and funny and cute moments, too; it's not all heartbreak. (And there are no stupid misunderstandings that needlessly go on forever!) (Although it does use the "I have to hurt you to save you" trope as well as the "I have to hurt MYSELF to save you" trope--as I said, it's formulaic. But generally speaking, for myself, I LIKE the formula!) And it has a happy ending! The last episode, I held my breath the whole time waiting for disaster to strike again, but it didn't happen, and I got more epilogue from it than I think I've ever gotten from any other Asian drama, and I really appreciated that.
So, if you are like me and you just want an angsty, cute-funny, obsessivish romance story, you should enjoy this one. Just don't expect more than that from it. It's not War and Peace. (Or should I reference Gone With the Wind instead, as a deeper version of a love story?) You get the idea. :)
