I have been passionate about Korean and Chinese historical dramas since 2017, when Empress Ki first introduced me to this fascinating world. That drama led me to Jumong, and before I knew it, I was completely hooked on the most iconic Korean sageuks. Later, The Empress of China opened the door to Chinese historical dramas, sparking my love for beautifully crafted period pieces rich in history, intrigue, and unforgettable characters.

Some of my all-time favourite K-dramas include Dong Yi, Jumong, Six Flying Dragons, Yi San, Tree With Deep Roots, The Slave Hunters, Queen Insoo, Horse Doctor, Jewel in the Palace, The Tale of Nokdu, The Crowned Clown, Cruel Palace: War of Flowers, Queen Seon Deok, King Gwanggaeto the Great, and Mr. Queen. Beyond historical dramas, I also love masterpieces like Mr. Sunshine, Prison Playbook, My Mister, Lost, Move to Heaven, Flower of Evil, Secret Love Affair, Sky Castle, Chocolate, Misaeng, and Giant. I also enjoy watching Korean daily dramas.

As for C-dramas, I adore The Imperial Doctress, Scarlet Heart, Nirvana in Fire, Empresses in the Palace, Legend of Lu Zhen, Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace, The Long Ballad, The Story of Ming Lan, Nothing Gold Can Stay, Legend of Mi Yue, The Legend of Xiao Chuo, The Legend of Dugu, The Advisors Alliance, The Rebel Princess, Love Like The Galaxy, Princess Agents, The Double, A Journey to Love, The Story of Yanxi Palace, and The Legend of Hao Lan.

My love for K-dramas also inspired me to start learning Korean in 2022, as I wanted to understand the language and culture more deeply. Watching dramas has become an important part of my learning process, helping me improve my listening skills and pick up natural expressions.

This passion even led me to visit South Korea for a month in 2024, an unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for its history, traditions, and vibrant entertainment industry.

Whether it's the intricate storytelling, compelling characters, or breathtaking cinematography, historical dramas captivate me with their depth and beauty. I’m always on the lookout for recommendations and love discussing dramas with fellow fans!
