better than I thought it would be ... but no one's talking about it!

First of all, I feel like absolutely no one talks about this show, which is surprising because it has Lee Sung Kyung! but it was actually better than I thought! I completely agree with the other reviewers in that this show's beginning episodes are completely engrossing ... but becomes a bit repetitive towards the end. I had actually put this show on hold after around 11 episodes and finished the rest later, but I really enjoyed those beginning episodes! to the point where the cliffhangers actually had me jumping up and down and wanting to watch the next episode. However, there does feel like there is a lot of filler in this show, hence me skipping a couple parts. A couple plot points in the last episodes were dragged on for WAY too long (i.e. Mika's problem with taking Do Ha's time was heartwrenching and complicated, but at the same time it went on for like 4 episodes with NO progress and is just miraculously fixed? felt like a waste of 4 episodes. also bae soo bong's sad end ... she's so beautiful and a powerful queen but she gets reduced to a crazed villain when her only motive was love? I didn't really get her character too much and I wished we could have seen better sides of her. but also this brings us to the ending ... it kind of felt like a cop out since everything was miraculously fixed but I don't mind stuff like that too much.

Notes:
Lee Sung Kyung as Mika - Personally I found some weak acting points a couple of times (no hate to her though she's a literal queen and looked so good in the show!) but as this was an earlier work of hers, I did find some parts kind of weird. as someone who loves musicals, she just did not convince me as a musical actress. just the way she carried herself in practice and on stage and the way she danced/sang felt unlike a stage actress and she didn't shine on stage as much as I thought she would in the actual musical. I also felt like there was a bit too much of problems with putting on the musical to the point where I wasn't invested too much in it. ALSO I thought the director was so cute, but what was the point of him? I thought he was going to be a major character since he was in the little intro song but he barely served a purpose?!
Finally, Ro Woon was in this show did you know that? HAHA I was so shocked and didn't even realize until the 12th episode.

Only You is such a bop and makes up for every other song in the OST it's SO GOOD

p lighthearted and easy to breeze through

This was exactly what I needed! I watched this show for the second leads (who were absolutely adorable and as for every show that I watch for the second lead couple, we definitely don't get enough of them ... writers give us more than crumbs for our favorite couples!) but I ended up being pleasantly surprised! It was better than I had expected and I enjoyed it a lot! This was a pretty lighthearted watch, and although there are some filler plot points/aspects, you don't get frustrated and it's easy to breeze through the show. Both couples were so cute and this show was pretty funny! (I really thought that the secretary friend and the manager friend were going to be a thing at the end but ... she ended up getting randomly married?! I didn't really get the point of that) Eun Ho's and Sa Ra's relationship is what I came for and what I wanted out of the show, and the only thing I was dissapointed about it was that we needed more! Also Seo Hyun Jin really served us looks here as Han Se Gye sheesh.

I think people are being too harsh on this drama just because it was overhyped. The intricate storyline (that had me confused most of the time) was very entertaining and had me wondering what was going to happen next. Woo Do Hwan completely stole the show with his double role. However, the storyline did start to feel a little repetitive since whenever Lee Gon was gone, Tae Eul was sad and when he came back, she was crying because she got to see him again. The ending was a little unsatisfying for me though, just because are Tae Eul and Lee Gon going to just travel together the rest of their lives? Also, the way some things ended kind of didn't make sense and it seems they only ended it that way to tie up the loose ends.

cute found family college youth show with too much side plot

this show had such a good vibe and was a cute college show with very cute characters that ended up feeling like a found family.

notes:
-YOU DID NOT CLOSE THE SHOW BY HAVING THE SQUAD AS OLDER PPL PERFORM THE ROUTINE AND THEN BREAK THE FOURTH WALL BY PANNING OUT TO SHOW THE CREW AND THEM BOWING that actually was so cute but it broke me bc I actually did get emotional watching g the side by side
-what I mean by side plot: I liked even loved how many different couples there were to look forward to like the quiet girl and the dorky guy do not remember their names but some were just too much! wasn’t very interested in the bar owners storyline or the mothers storyline or the mystery unfolding, in fact the mystery was so annoying to me bc I just wanted to see our squad have a good time! I think these side plots bogged down the shows quality when it could have been simplified and there was also a random ep where they were being filmed?
-love the male lead actor but the character was just not compelling at all hate to say it. kind of made me root for the second lead but in honesty wasn’t rooting for either that hard, the female lead actress killed it though
-many cute moments loved the atmosphere most of all minus the thriller element but likely would not rewatch

a little rough around the edges, but so genuine!

SPOILERS--
HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US WRITER-NIMS!! The ending ... was very typically bittersweet. With the reset in their memories, they do seem to have become better people separately and they did meet again so we can assume they'll get back together in the future, but I can't get over their forgotten past and memories and uhh.

OST: HUGE shoutout to this drama's OST! It really got a lot of their songs stuck in my head and the emotion of the sad songs or the romantic ones really got my feeling all the feels. For such a short drama, the OST unexpectedly blew me away.

Acting: L really surprised me with the depth of his acting here and was really the standout actor. Playing such a flawed character but also making us empathize is no easy trait. However, my only note is that the relationship sometimes felt a little awkward and cheesy, but that was mainly due to the writing, not the actors.

Story: I didn't think I'd enjoy a simple time loop story this much! I really liked the explanation of why it was happening instead of it being random, but I still didn't get how Da In wasn't dead in the reset... not that I wanted her to be but the logic didn't add up for me. Also, I still can't believe erasing their memories was the only solution like ... the whole show timeline was just gone!

But yes, the music cliches of him playing and singing a song and it being all dramatic are the best cliches, so yes I enjoyed this show.

I actually watched this drama two times, and it really gave me more perspective on it. The first time around, I was a diehard Sun Oh x Jojo watcher. The second time, I became a Hyeyeong x Jojo watcher. I realized how frustrating the whole situation is and how unfair Jojo was to both guys. Her unwillingness to open up and bad decisions led to the unfortunate outcome of their relationship. I understand that she had gone through some tough stuff, but that should mean she should allow herself to lean on someone who actually cared about her. Also, I loved Sun Oh's and Hyeyeong's bromance, but Sun Oh actually made terrible decisions himself. He broke the bro code and got mad at Hyeyeong for going after Jojo at the end. But the best part of this drama had nothing to do with the leads, but more about the side stories. How unfair it is to not be able to control your feelings or dial it down. How it must feel to have the person you like tell you to stop liking them. How it must be to never have someone ring your love alarm. This show dives deeper into this concept and shows how the idea of a love alarm affects the rest of society. Overall, this is a meaningful watch if you can get past how much the leads will frustrate you (except Hyeyeong deserves everything).

Well that was a bit disappointing. I was really excited for this title after watching the first episode, but the elements that were promising in the show did not live up to my expectations. First of all, the female lead was frustrating and very unlikable, so much so that I couldn't get around the fact that there were 4 potential love interests for her. They tried to paint the female lead as a superwoman, but she ended up consistently needing help, but still said she didn't need it after she received help from someone. The mother-daughter bond was not as heartwarming as I had expected, and I instead found it just a tad bit stiff. The whole misunderstanding was an understandable plot point, but grew to be extremely frustrating and I didn't even understand the reasoning for why Dae Oh left in the last episode. What makes you coming back after two years where you were missing any better? The ending was the most frustrating part of all, since they never even end up making the movie and Dae Oh never ends up directing. The show doesn't play up the dreams of producing and directing aspect enough and for the majority of the time you even forget that the point of the show is them trying to make a movie. Overall, I don't regret watching the show, but I did end up being disappointed by the execution.

a lighthearted and addicting watch!

All I'm going to say is that this show is such an easy and enjoyable watch! If you're looking for something that will not drag too much and will entice you to keep going, this is the show to go for. Although I did start to lose interest in the end due to an unnecessary conflict, it was such a fast watch to the point where I didn't realize I had already watched 3 episodes (which is literally 3 hours!).

Concept: I really enjoyed the concept! I absolutely LOVED how the female lead worked as a translator and in the movie business, as it made the concept relevant and cute. I also loved when the male lead was a runner, and I loved how when he was asked how it feels to be a professional runner he just said "It feels like I'm always out of breath."

Characters: I found the male lead to be very unique, with the combination of the written character and the way the actor portrayed it creating a very unusual character. To this day, I'm not sure if I necessarily loved him, but to see someone naturally odd and innocent was refreshing. Meanwhile, even though the female lead was a little confusing sometimes, she was a very strong and lovable character. Also, the relationship between Kim Woo Sik, the male lead, and the top runner (sorry I forgot his name) was so wholesome and made me extremely happy. Additionally, the second couple was intriguing enough, but as someone who was expecting to absolutely love them, the way their relationship went was a bit disappointing.

I know a lot of people did not like the ending, but although it bothered me, it didn't ruin the drama for me. If anything, I just thought of it as a kind of messed up ending for a kind of messed up story. This kdrama felt so unique compared to all the other ones I've watched. The show showed all of the different sides of the story and how the plot points affected everyone. Like many watchers, the real stars of the show were In Ho and In Ha. Their storylines of broken friendships and what was lost brought so much emotion where I almost burst into tears for them. I never knew who to feel bad for in this show, which was really frustrating, but also shows you how good it is. The ending for the main couple was kind of eh (I hate it when the couple breaks up but comes back together because how unrealistic is it that they have spent all those years just waiting for each other! Also, In Ho cut ties with Seol and her family which was so sad because it was so heartwarming when they accepted him as almost family! And I wish the ending was more like Seol helped Jung change rather than Jung changed by himself away from Seol. Except I liked how the In Ho and In Ha sibling bond was saved.)

Ah phooey. This was my most anticipated drama release of the month AND THE YEAR, but compared to my expectations, I was sadly a bit disappointed. The second half of the show just really lost the juice that was driving the beginning and I started to feel detached. First of all, I personally felt that the leads lacked chemistry to the point where I didn't care about what happened to their relationship. They were almost too perfect for each other, but the breakup was a bit too sudden in my opinion, especially since they were depicted as super stable. Which brings me to my main problem with the couple: they felt underdeveloped. We soared through their "crush" phase (which was incredibly short, making me wonder why they even liked each other) and when they were in a relationship, I quickly got bored of the couple. Surprisingly though, this show didn't seem to focus on the romance, and was much more focused on Hye Jun's family.
Side notes:
What happened to Hae Hyo? I was so prepared to feel for him and get some angsty second lead syndrome, but he just kind of disappeared? He quickly lost relevance in the middle, making me wonder what the point and importance of his character was. He got more screen time in the end, but I just did not empathize with him at all as he felt underdeveloped.
Hae Na and Ji-u were so cute. They deserved more screen time and development and I am devastated.
Hye Jun's character and struggles in the beginning made it super easy to feel for him. However, his character got lost in the second half. My fears were confirmed: the show just became less interesting for me after Hye Jun got famous and rich.
A couple of times I felt like they skipped through time too much. It was a little choppy, like when Hye Jun was suddenly finished shooting a drama or when Jeong Ha quit her job and was teaching? I'm not even sure what she was doing it was never explained.
We never got to learn too much about Jeong Ha in my opinion. This show was focused on Hye Jun (which was refreshing since kdramas usually focus on the female lead) but it made me feel detached from Jeong Ha's character and I couldn't really grasp who she was and never got to the point of rooting for her or relating to her.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but there was kind of a lot of acting that felt a bit awkward.
The OST was super good. It fit the youth theme really well and was quite refreshing!
