This episode contains one of the most famous scenes in the series (whoever saw it knows). For me, however, the coolest are the small side scenes, which may not be so important to the story, but they certainly give the story the right atmosphere and allow us to get to know and understand the main character better. For example, the scene at the well, when one young cultivator says to the other "Wei Ying is my idol". Wei Ying's reaction is simply beautiful. In addition, Xiao Pinguo had the most air time in this episode :)For me, small scenes and small details make this drama so pleasing to the heart and eye.

Every year, China produces dozens of costume dramas, so the competition is huge. Therefore, it is important to attract the viewer as soon as possible and tie him to a new drama. At Ever Nigh, it took me only a few minutes to fall in love with her. At the beginning I was struck by realism, quality of production and music, which wonderfully emphasizes the atmosphere of a given moment. The hero also stole my heart from the first moments. This is what the first episode should look like!

I will not lie, this is not objectively an ideal episode. Has a lot of disadvantages. Nevertheless, every time I watch it, I discover something new and admire again. I used to focus on subtitles, now I see how much attention to detail is there. All the actors are excellent, but XZ is phenomenal. Even if his character slips somewhere in the background, if he stands almost outside the frame, he is always 100% in the role. Yesterday I could not tear myself away from the flag he found next to the puppet. This scene was shot several times, from different angles, and WWX was often in the background, but consistently dealt with the flag exactly as it should at the moment.XZ's attention to detail is impressive.

My irritation reached its zenith. I began to care about the fate of the characters. I hope that both the daddy and the daughter will be arrested (I don't care what for), or better yet, let them die. I can't even say one good word about the plot or the characters. A nightmare of boredom and stupidity.

Why, oh why, why? This drama has so much potential! Why is nothing happening in it? Why is there still no character whose fate I could care about even in the slightest way? It's all the same to me who killed whom and why.

It's the third episode, and I still haven't had a character shown that interests me. The slow pace is annoying, but not as much as the relationship between ML and FL. While in the previous episode the ending as such held suspense, in this one there is nothing but growing irritation.

The slow dark aesthetic starts to get in the way, as it seems to be the main point of the whole drama. There is no tension built up, the plot becomes increasingly boring. The characters do not become more interesting. Despite the progressing mystery, it is presented in such a way that it bores instead of interesting.

My first impressions were positive. I liked the climate building, great cinematography, but the too slow pace started to get tiresome. It was as if the filmmakers focused not on plot, not on building characters, but on aesthetics. Visually nice, plot-wise weak.

The weakest episode so far. Uninteresting. It had a few funny moments, but overall it was bland and about nothing and the small victory of the heroes seemed undeserved to me - not because they didn't deserve it, just because it was shown that way. It should have been a moment of triumph for the viewer and it was just meh.

What I really like about this drama is how the interactions between the characters are shown. How dynamic they are, how they change due to circumstances or stay the same. The plot develops so well and so smoothly that I can't believe there are only two more episodes left. I have a great dissatisfaction because of the small number of episodes in the season, although this episode gave me a lot of satisfaction :)

To tell the truth, episode 7 was mostly very unpleasant for me. I felt a lot of discomfort because of the plot and the antagonist. I was already about to rate it quite a bit lower, but at the end of the episode there came a moment when I felt great satisfaction. And even a few such moments. Invariably 10/10.
