Hoped for better and I guess...I got it?
I rated the parent story a 4 for reasons that I put in my review, I will not be repeating that.
What I would like to point out right away is the fact that I watched this solely because I wanted to see if they fixed some of the things that went wrong in the parent story and that's where the headline comes from but it has a huge 'BUT' after it. And here's why:
I hoped for better chemistry between the leads and I got it, but up at what extent? They still seem like roommates to me even though they put a few more 'cute' scenes in. The leads' acting might be really good to some of you, but it doesn't show in this drama. It's just really annoying to see them in scenes where they have to act more intimate with each other because it looks like they don't want to play that role, especially the actor that plays Tine. In no way am I saying we should've gotten explicit scenes because this series is not about that and I totally understand, but there are plenty of shows without all that and yet so intimate and natural.
Their 'arguments' don't even seem like arguments but just simple dispute between friends. They had so much time in those 5 episodes to show some actual struggles that they might go through living together because all couples do, but they filled it up with nonsense.
Since we're on that topic, I hope I'm not the only one that really didn't care about the other couples. The chemistry was even more off than with the main leads and it just wasn't interesting. All nonsense.
Also, can somebody please tell me, how many singing scenes do we need in 5 episodes???
There were scenes that were really fun to watch and that's the only reason for that 0.5 bonus in points for this continuation but overall, it was just as, if not more, exhausting to watch as the parent story.
