I like it... not so much however (AN HONEST REVIEW FROM A LONG TIME LAKORN VIEWER)

I really dragged myself to finish the show because my lovely Mark was the main lead. (Mind you, it's been awhile since I watched a lakorn since the airing of Baifern's 'Bai Mai Tee Plid Plew'. And I forgot how long lakorns are!! 1 hour and 40 minutes per episode!!) By the way, I really think Mark likes this cold and arrogant character, similar to his previous role in Kleun Cheewit.

Anyways the story, I felt like there were really random parts of the story which took way too much of the show. Such as the hacking between our main leads. Then Myanmar. Then the Moei going off-grid to avoid him. I loved the scenes and they do seem relevant enough, I just don't think I need two to four episodes long in one issue. It was draggy, and the real excitement I actually got was from the beginning when they got married. Honestly, I felt that Yada and her abusive husband had more of an interesting story than this show overall was. I have to admit, I skipped so many scenes to finish the show. Why, because it takes 5 minutes for one scene between two talking people. DRAGGY AF.

I loved the way the writers made Moei's love for Thien consistent. Everything she does is for him, at some point in the drama it starts to feel stalkerish and obsessive but you know how dramatic Lakorn can get. One particular thing about Mew is that she plays her role really well. For example in scenes with Mark; she will constantly look at him and smile like an idiot because that is the character she is playing-- someone completely in love one-sided. Could be the script, but could be that she is an amazing actress.

I actually hate Thien's character. I just really feel like his character could've been written better. Mark executed the script great, just hated how bad they made the character so oblivious.

The cons:

I don't know if it was just me but some scenes were very toxic and are sadly portrayed in media that it's just love. I hated the scene where Thien tied her his bed frame to keep her from going out of his sight. Or when he confiscated her electronics and locked her up in a room a day with no food. Or when she was denied internet connection because he didn't want her contacting the outside world. I know this is typical Thai Lakorns but isn't this too overused. I am a killer for slap n kiss, but this wasn't even that.

Anyways take my review with an grain of salt, you might end up liking it because Mark and Mew did a wonderful job. Yet, as a long time Lakorn audience this was just a typical drama played by two popular celebrities-- and for me was not worth the hype.

Okay, I love Tinsanart a lot. I basically finished this drama for her. The storyline was slow and very confusing as it jumps through the years on their "contract". The chemistry between the two leads sucked so much, I skipped finishing the drama. Usually, in a good drama, I skip to the scene of the main characters, but here I was skipping the unromantic scenes the directors tried to create between the two leads. The first half of the show tried it's best to be funny by adding some "silly" music in the background but there wasn't a part where I actually found funny. This was pretty much a show written by a 16-year-old. A lost princess taken under a wing by and man and practically forced to marry a guy she never met and she deals with hatred from an antagonist.

This story is a 3.4 for me because really it was just a pain to watch. I literally had to force myself to finish this drama since I started it already. The storyline at first was actually decent to proceed, however towards the end I feel like the writer of this lakorn had just decided to make everything so predictable. /though I have to say every lakorn literally has the same storyline, mean girl hates good girl then she does everything to break them apart but she cannot because "true love" can't be broken; ugh anyways/ I do love our main female lead very much but then she loses her "strong" and masculine personality towards the end of the lakorn, losing the spirit of what the writers tried so hard to characterize. Our male lead on the other side was true to character although I had hoped for more of character development yet, his character literally was the same. The music, it was enjoyable but they didn't use it as much as other lakorn I've seen. Will not watch again because the ending really sucked.

In all honesty, I had no hope for this drama. Yes, I judged it by the cover and it looked like a melodic like drama, but it turned out to be rom-com. I was looking for typical fluff and mean girl chasing out the main female, but it was more.

Xiao Xi is a phenomenal actress, pulling off every scene. I am usually very hard of female leads because (I’m picky) they usually exaggerate their acting and act super cute. In this case, she was naturally adorable. Super bright, and uplifting. I think the director casted a great female lead.

Jiangchen is an eye candy. The character growth was smooth and not bumpy, so props for the amazing writers. He may be a rookie, but he and Xiao Xi mingled this drama as if they were pros. I really don’t look forward for rookie actors, (since their usually robots) but he definitely did not disappoint.

Okay, now to the storyline. I love how the drama gradually opens them from their youth to their adulthood. The transition from scenes to scenes were not choppy and executed really well. There weren’t any useless characters in this drama and I enjoyed the second love line. The contrast of the main love line and second were clear, it was nice to breathe from a suffocating hate-relationship to a fluffy love once in a while.

The writers definitely did not try to drag the drama, creating useless plots. Everything was well planned and it’s no crazy revenge, ‘that’s my girl’ thing.

All in, this drama would have you skipping hearts and craving more and more. It’s been a week, and I haven’t seem to get this couple out of my heart yet.

Ps: as a person who skips scenes (a lot), this drama is a spotlight stealers. There’s no scene to skips as everything is sooooo smooth.
