Great Chinese Period Drama
This drama is beautifully done from every perspective, ecept the cliffhanger ending that seemed to promise a sequel. It feels like the writer was promoting a sequel or maybe just wanted to be mysterious. Zhang Ruo Yun (Fan Xian) and Li Qun ( Lin Wan’er) make a compelling and adorable onscreen couple. I can't leave out everyone's favorite, XIAO ZHAN (Yan Bing Yun) addint some romantic competition for Fan Xian. I would recommend any drama that contained any one of those actors. As seems to be his choice, Zhang Ruo Yun selects parts that are unpredictable and dramas that leave you wondering. This wonderful, cultural, period piece along with the great cast, acting skill, and gorgeous cinematograhy makes this a must watch.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Amazing Action Adventure and Mystery Drama
This is a fantastic work of writing and acting that keeps viewers interested in a time loop over 15 episodes. All characters have immense depth and are brilliantly portrayed. Even the villains are redeemable. The action scenes are well done, and the production is not lacking. The character development and growing chemistry between the two main characters Zhao Jin Mai (Li Shi Qing) and Bai Jing Ting (Xiao He Yun) is expertly done. This is not a drama that leaves you wondering if the budget ran out. It is highly recommended and will keep you on the edge of your seat!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A Waste of Time
I tortured myself by drudging through this ridiculous drama, and I'm not sure why. This is a period piece--not a fantasy, but multiple pot holes exist in the badly written script that make the story impossible to believe. Also highly disappointing is Riley Wang--not only in this--but also in Song of the Moon, another C-Drama with very bad special effects, worse character development, and a story that didn't seem to have a direction. The reason many of us switch to J-Dramas and K-Dramas is that they are not cookie cutter dramas for nationalism or completely ridiculous plotlines or stories with star actors like A Romance of the Little Forest or Meet Yourself which are so boring they could cure insomnia. Another big mistake is the 5-10 minute episode dramas popping up all over which contain more time in intros and end credits than actual substance. China, Zàijiàn!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Best K-Drama Fantasy I Have Ever Seen
This and Alchemy of Souls were the two shows that made me fall in love with K-Dramas. The plot of this story, considering just the Goblin's roommates, lends itself to so many funny, melancholy, and contemplative moments. The reaper, expertly played by LEE DONG WOOK, is a nice guy who offers the dead forgetting tea in a quaint room before they go through a lovely door to the afterlife. The goblin, Kim Shin, exquistely portrayed by GONG YOO, is a sympathic and lovable character with regrets of his past and a desire to protect the ones he loves. The girl who should not have lived, Ji Eun Tak, masterfully played by KIM GO EUN, is so lovable and level-heaed in this sometimes chaotic and fantastical story. The restaurant’s owner, Sunny, beautifully portrayed by Yoo In Na, is an eclectic and interesting character. I am not going to write plot spoilers, but I can say that this drama was one I really wanted to binge watch, and I came away loving the story, cinematography, and characters.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
