a few friends of mine recommended me to watch this show, but I was too packed while it was still airing. Only until it's available on Netflix, so I decided to give a try.
Story: I feel like this was written by a k-drama fan from 10 years ago. It contains every cliche, drama troupes that are so predictable. The only unpredictable thing is the twist in ep10, but I was spoiled about it before I started so I wasn't surprised. After finishing all the 20 eps, I feel like I wasted my times and I should have dropped since ep 12 or something.
Acting: Terrible. The female lead was reading her script. Even though I have seen worse, but I would be still disappointed in her acting. Everyone else is just as bad. Xu Kai Cheng's acting is mediocre.
Character Writing: This is probably the most crucial part of my impression on this show. The writing is so thoughtless and I cannot believe people thinks it's okay to do this. Even though, the male lead got better from the last half of the show, but I still cannot wholeheartedly accept this kind of character writing. I told my friend that I was watching a chinese version of Fifty Shades of Grey just because the male lead is a control freak just like Christian Grey (that's also one of the thing I cannot get into the Fifty Shades of Grey's bandwagon). The relationship isn't okay. It's very abusive. He's very domineering. He keeps asking her something in exchange, even if you can tell from the female lead that she was very hesitated and she keeps backing down. But he keeps insisting.
