Just finished this drama, and the ending is pretty good. Of the three dramas that deal with returning to Kanxi's reign that I watched, Scarlet Heart, Palace, and this one, I think this one fits right in the middle in terms of a "happy ending," because Yinxiang was not able to travel to her time, but she meets his reincarnation, who has no memory of her. The story is well-written but not as well as the other two in my opinion. Everyone got good endings, even the evil sister, which is a surprise. When the drama ended, I didn't feel the need to watch a season 2, whereas for Palace and Scarlet Heart, I really wanted to watch a season 2.

The characters with the most character development were Yinti and Minghui. They actually changed their personalities at the end of the drama. So people who rooted for them and wanted to watch them instead shouldn't feel bad at all.

When I started this drama, I thought this was a Chinese version of the Korean drama Goblin. The male lead, Baiqi, is a cold and arrogant non-human stuck in the modern, which is very similar to the Korean version. The best thing about this drama is the comedy. Each character has its own version of comedy, and I truly enjoyed every part of it, especially Yang Jian and Heiqi, the evil version of Baiqi. Yangjian is developed pretty well throughout this drama, as he goes through two phases. He first learns that all spirits are not evil since when he wakes up, he literally starts hunting spirits. He discovers this by learning what Baiqi has done as a spiritual doctor. He then learns to love Xiaoxiao, which I treat as his second phase. He initially criticizes his fellow Heaven Soldier for falling in love with a human and loses his Penghai power, but in the end, he decides to lose his power and his only chance of going home to be with Xiaoxiao. Their relationship is one of the best I have seen and is just as important as Linxia and Baiqi's relationship.

The part I disliked the most was when Baiqi loses his memory, especially when this happens near the end of the drama. Memory loss is so common in dramas that it has just become an obvious route to move the story forward.

The three main characters, Yangjian, Baiqi, and Linxia all have very good character development throughout the story, and through good writing, allows me, as the viewer, to actually care about what happens in their life. The saddest part of the story is when Baiqi knows he will die if he continues to love Linxia. That part is very touching since he rather dies in love with Linxia than being separated from her.

Overall, I think this drama deserves high ratings and people should give it a chance. The music is great and the scenes/CGI are beautiful.

I am definitely for dramas with character development, and this one does it pretty well for the main male character. Yihan transitioned from being a spoiled obnoxious celebrity to someone who actually cares for people around him and matured towards the end of the drama. Pei Youyou, the female lead, is an independent woman, who basically stays the same throughout the drama. In the beginning, Pei Youyou believes that she has a "lower status" compared to him, which prevents them from actually loving each other. This is further cemented when Yihan constantly does everything for her without consulting her. Pei Youyou has lived all her life as an independent, so she does not need a rich husband providing everything for her. But in the end, she learns that husband and wife should try to face everything together and that she should only be mad at him for a short time, which I think is the sweetest moment in the drama.

The writers also did a very good job with the side characters and their stories, especially Lin Tian Nu and Kandi, since both characters are very passionate about their work, yet they find love for each other.

I started this drama with skepticism and thought it was just another short romantic comedy drama. However, it turned out to be pretty unique with a great cast and good writing with the last few episodes being the best.

This drama is written very well, as the main message in the story is about believing one's self and never giving up. Eva's "disease" is the main thing the holds her back from becoming who she really is. She was traumatized in her past, due to the fact that she was fat and humiliated. But after all her experiences throughout the drama with Ruan Dongsheng, she finally discovers that being fat is not the problem, and she could still achieve her dreams. The final episode definitely shows that she does not care whether she is skinny or fat, as she was willing to become fat, in order to donate blood because she was underweight, to save Dongsheng's mother. Dongsheng also eventually forgives his mother and reconciles with her, due to misunderstandings in the past.

The most shocking and best parts of the drama for me are Luo Yiren's parts. She stands out the most in the drama due to her visuals and especially her acting. She is so rigid and tough in the beginning since all she cares about is her job. She has not lived her life fully until she mistakenly discovers she has leukemia. Then she quits her jobs and lives the life she wants. She shows up with purple hair (just a wig) and does all the wild things, and makes Xiao Nan do some romantic "things" with her. This was honestly the most hilarious part of the drama. I loved the way she changes through the drama, from stiff/rigid to a regular person who actually lives her life to the fullest extent. The most important part is she stays strong and independent afterward too. I am hyped to watch more of her dramas.

One thing that threw me off was why Eva was afraid that she might turn big after accepting that being big is a part of her. Other than that, this drama ended pretty well and delivered a pretty good message of accepting who you are.

This drama is truly one of the best I have seen. Usually, in Chinese dramas, the plot feels dragged out, but not this drama. It is a short 24 episodes drama full of comedy.

The main female character never forgets who she is when she is in the other world. That is the most important part of the drama. Throughout the entire story, she uses her skills and her knowledge to survive when everyone is trying to kill or hurt her. Some of the other dramas where the main lead goes to another world, either through time travel, dream, futuristic machine, etc, the main lead tends to forget who she is. Then, those characters would just forget about who they were before and try to cement their lives in their current situation. But in this drama, Chen Qianqian constantly tries to allow her story to move forward so that one day, she'll be able to "go home", while at the same time, tries not to get herself killed within the story. The moment when she decides to accept Han Shuo's love, that is when she decides on staying in the fictional world, and this took about 20+ episodes. Other dramas would have the main characters completely forget that they need to leave the fictional world by the first few episodes, which sometimes, for me at least, to wonder "did the main character forget?" In this drama, the writers showed the audience that Chen Qianqian never forgets and is trying to go home. But her love of Han Shuo is more powerful and stronger than her will to return home.

The setting for this drama is one of the most unique settings I have ever seen, two cities with completely different gender ruling societies. The drama does a very good job of passively sending a message about gender equality. I initially see how funny Huayuan City is, where females rule over men. But through time, under Chuchu's laws, I see some negative things about that society. Towards the end, Qianqian discovers that her creation of this world is flawed and that gender equality is important at all levels.

Overall, I think this is one of the best-written dramas I have seen. All the characters made an impact to the story, and Zhao Lusi definitely made the drama more entertaining. If there is a season 2, I am truly hoping for it, since Han Shuo does remember all their experience in the dreamworld.

This drama is honestly a very casual drama with a simple story. After finishing it, the drama is very similar to the Korean drama, Love In the Moonlight. The relationship between the main male and female lead is easy to follow and lovely. However, sometimes the male actor seems awkward and the dictation isn't really audible. But Ma Meng Wei really saves this drama. She makes this drama hilarious and believable. She sneaks into the palace to earn some money but ends up falling in love with the emperor. I truly wish she had a bigger role when shes in the palace, where she is able to help the emperor. But she is mostly a damsel in distress. Ma Meng Wei's interactions with other characters, especially the two palace guards is honestly one of the best aspects about this show. They are funny and actually showed chemistry on the show.

By episode 5, I got really tired of the theme song. Every time the Emperor shows up and saves the day, the song plays in the background. Don't get me wrong. The song is not bad, but they clearly overplay it.

In this drama, only the relationship between the Emperor and San Bao, the female lead, is believable. The other two relationships, Yelu Ming/Gong Zhiyue and Princess Anle/Lin Yan Qing are very bad and super rushed. They have no character development throughout the entire drama, and in the very last scene of the last episode, we see them together. Those characters were essential to the plot, yet I barely know why they love their respective partners. Zhiyue despises Yelu Ming since they have been fighting wars in the border. But I am supposed to believe that she eventually falls in love with him because the Emperor does not accept her love and Yelu Ming's constant love letters? This causes the relationship to be forced and just awkward at the end of the drama.

I think this is a pretty good short drama. This drama shortens everything into 12 episodes, making it seem less dragged out. Time does skip around in this episode without really telling the audience. This does cause some weirdness and confusion especially when the 9th prince, Ziran, says, "they've been friends for a while now." If this drama has 10 or 20 more episodes, then that statement is more believable. But when he says they are close friends, 10 episodes into the drama, I can't really believe that statement.

The characters have good stories and I think the casts are pretty good at acting. The female lead, Xiaotang, is super funny and believable since she only has one more year to live. She is living the "yolo" life and doing what she wants in order to stay happy. The 9th prince also lives the same, because he is a prince. But there is honestly not much about his character. He is just the muscle guy whenever a fight has started or he is just the second male lead that, apparently, all stories need. He is just there to try and take the female lead from the male lead, Jinyan. Jinyan is the classic, no emotion but secretly cares for the female lead, character. I think his character is "okay" since he is just smart and cunning.

The romance and the crime investigation feels choppy sometimes. They just don't mesh together well, since the drama is so short, and one does seem to overtake another. The crime investigation is way more compelling than the romance. The main point on the romance is Xiaotang needing to marry so her family can have an heir to continue the line. But the criminal investigation part of the drama is fascinating on so many levels: reasons to kill, patterns, personalities on the killers, ways of murder, Xiaotang's father, Ziran's mother, etc. The criminal investigation just spreads out and connects to so many parts of the drama, thus making it the most important aspect of the drama. Although there is magic in the story, it does not really play a big part in the drama other than showing that the female and male lead is not "destined" for each other.

The drama is definitely not as high quality as some of the other dramas, but it is a good short drama to watch if people want to have something on the side to watch. They really need more work when filming this drama. There are times when the camera just shakes nonstop, totally disturbing me while I watch. Other than that one bad thing, the drama is comedic and interesting, since the audience gets to see how two characters who are not "fated" to be with each other deal with all the murders that surround them.

Tomorrow is the last two episodes, but I just want to throw this review out. This is one of the few times where I actually prefer the 2nd Male Lead, Mu Beiyan, and the female lead to be the main couple. This is my second time watching Alan Yu, the first being The Legend of White Snake. If you put his two characters together, I wouldn't even call them two separate characters, since they are literally the same. I understand that he just wants to protect her and that he loves her, but there is no emotion. Maybe the director of the drama wants him to be an actual block of wood, but this is the main reason why I have this drama a 7 instead of a 8 or 9.

I would like to compare his character and the character Donghua, from "Eternal Love of Dream." Both are cold and emotionless, but as Donghua discovers the truth about Fengjiu and her love for him, Donghua begins to show his loving and caring side. He actually starts to have humane reactions. This, by the way, starts towards the middle to end of the drama. But in "The Love Last Two Minds," we are near the end of the drama, and he still pushes her away, (yes, he is trying to protect her). I sincerely hope they can resolve the misunderstandings and conflicts between the two leads, and not rush the ending.

All the other characters and their stories are great. The villain is understandable because he was looked down upon through his childhood. Princess Changle and Zhaoyan's relationship is funny and entertaining. The best has to be Mu Beiyan, since he transitions from being a playboy to someone who cares about his responsibilities. He loves A'Yuan, and knows why he loves her. I think the director did a great job showing his transition because we got to see how much his father cares about Beiyan and wants Beiyan to grow up.

Yukee Chen, the actress for Feng Mianwan/A'Yuan, does a great job playing the different characters within the story. She technically plays 4 roles: Feng Mianwan, Yuan Qingli, A'Yuan (male version), and A'Yuan (female version). I really love the part when she decides not to drink the potion that allows her to remember her past because it shows how determined she is to be who she is. She does not want to remember a past, where she is not herself and especially not weak. I just love how she grew throughout the drama and uses her skills to help her. In other dramas, some female leads tend to forget their skills or their personalities towards the end of the drama, but not her. She uses her detective skills to see into people and to help her in many different situations.

Edit: After finishing the drama, I think it is a bit rushed since they decide to add a second villain, Jingci's foster father. Although this is hinted in the story, I don't believe there is a need for him to be the villain, because his motives are not as good as the second prince. The second prince's story, in my opinion, is pretty good and realistic.
Trust is really hard to build, yet she decides to trust Jingci again. Sure, she misunderstands him, but he actually breaks her heart and causes her to become sick. Her mother honestly summarizes the love stories within this drama. The women in her family just blindly follow their love.
Also, does Mu Beiyan progress throughout the drama? The only change I saw is Beiyan stopping his drinking and his flirting habits. His father's death should have changed his character, but he is still dumb and rushes into things. They emphasized scenes where he mourns for his father and him changing, yet in the end, this honestly just goes away.

I think the story is really good and sophisticated, where the beginning, middle, and end are all connected. Scenes in episode 1 are just as important as scenes in the end of the drama. Music and settings are pretty. Cast is good, though some actors may need to improve.
One super bad aspect of the drama.... They use so many FLASHBACKS to explain the plotholes, schemes, backstory, etc. This just completely ruins the flow of the drama, and sometimes these flashbacks feel as if they are used to just add minutes into the story.

I initially thought this drama would be similar to Linewalker, Flying Tigers, or some other TVB police drama/story. But this is just Aiport Police Diaries. There are way too many irrelevant characters with non-important story arcs for those characters. The writers literally just shoved all these characters into 25 episodes and tried to have a story for each of them. But it just doesn't work because they do not add anything to the story.

The beginning of the story is great. A bunch of these police officers is trying to join the Airport Special Forces. Although Hill Cheung is very annoying due to his arrogant behavior, I become curious about why he's like that. Why does he hate Cheung Sir? The main point in this part of the story is, why do they want to become Airport Special Forces? This is where we learn, what motivates them. But after they joined, the story just became a diary for each member of the cast. The characters do not learn anything that is so important to the overall story.

The main lesson I learned from Hill and San Hoi Ching is "let the past die." Hill's hatred towards his father and his brother basically turns him into an arrogant fool. San Hoi Ching blames herself for her brother's death, causing her unable to appreciate her family. But everyone else doesn't really change in the end. I really enjoy watching Matt Yeung's character, Easy. But he has no character progression, other than learning that he cannot trust everyone around him. He is one of the main characters too, yet he barely got much from the drama.

Also, if the drama is about Airport Special Forces, shouldn't there be a little more action? I understand, having terrorist attacks in an airport is not realistic, but this drama itself is already not realistic. There is no climax, no plot twists, etc. The villain is too simple. I don't necessarily believe there is a plot at all in this drama.
